A few minutes later Finn and Phoebe walk towards that side of the restaurant by the railing and see Carisi hanging up his phone, then looking up, breathing an apparent big sigh of relief.

-

"If anyone knows where Amanda is, it'll be Dominick" Phoebe says, pointing over to him, just as he turns away, and starts walking in the direction of the exit.

-

"Carisi". Finn calls his name. Dominick stops. "You seen Amanda"?

-

"Uh, she left, had to head home" he turned to them, clearly distracted.

-

"Everything okay"? Phoebe asked him as they approached.

-

Finn's made a face "You're not mad about not being able to marry us"?

-

"What? No". Carisi responded. He didn't say anything for a minute.

-

Then, "It's not that...it's just...We" He struggled to figure out what to say, then he just let it be what it is.

"I'm in love with her". He shrugged to them, the words catching a bit in his throat.

-
"Yea". Phoebe smiled knowingly, nodding and patted his shoulder. Was this the first time he's said this out loud? She wondered.

-

Finn scrunched his face incredulously again "Nicole"? Carisi'd just started dating her, that seemed kinda fast Finn thought to himself.

-

Phoebe rolled her eyes and gently swatted Finn's arm. "Finn...no..." She looked at Carisi and smiled. "It's Amanda". It's not a question. Carisi nodded and Finn caught on.

-

"So"... Phoebe paused. "What are you waiting for"?

She raises her eyebrows at Carisi, and with a sly smile turns to look at Finn, taking his arm. Everyone should be as happy as they are. Marriage or not.

-

Carisi grinned and throws his arms around both of them, much to Finn's chagrin.

-

The hug was short lived as he immediately let go.

-

"Nothing...there's nothing at all". He grinned at Phoebe and took off the same direction Amanda had earlier. He could be at her house in less than an hour. He just hoped she hadn't decided to head out to her mom's. She'd have to go home first so hopefully he'd catch her there.

-

Nicole had surprised him by saying she was glad he called. After this week, they both realized they just weren't on the same page when it came to the big picture. She had been waiting until tomorrow to tell him the same thing. They were just too different. No bad feelings, they had only been dating a month or so, but she was pretty adamant she had no desire to ever get married, and kids were still a question. If Dominick Carisi knew one thing, he knew he wanted to be married with kids. He'd assumed by now he would be.

-

As he took off in his SUV, he thought to himself that if he could just be with Amanda, he didn't even need marriage. If he had to live in sin with the Rollins girls forever, to be with her...he'd happily do it. He was willing to make that compromise for her. Because he was desperately, hopelessly, and crazy in love with Amanda Rollins.
