Mia looked at what she is wearing, with a sad look. So the next day she had to help them get ready for the ball first to feed them, like help pick a dress, clean the dress, and fix them if it needs to be fitted. She had to do it to all of them, then after she had to start on the chores, and she is hoping to be able to find something suitable to wear to the ball.
When it was time for them to go Mia is nowhere near ready herself because she had just finished her chores but don't have anything to wear, sadly so her family were off to the ball, she was looking through her room something to wear, when she found a big chest in the back, (she lives in the attic)full of her mothers clothes and found a blue dress she likes, and she thinks to try to get fix it to fit her and make it to her liking. She also finds some glass shoes that her mother had given her before she died as a birthday gift. She does it in 1 hr, but she forgot she has no way to go there, so she got her horse to get her there(IDK if I want to make this modern times or the old times). So she rides the horse to the ball and then she arrived just in time too, though she had to get home before 12 cause her family will be back at that time.
Mia enters the palace and is having trouble finding the ballroom, she looks around the halls trying to find it. Jayden is standing watching all the maidens being introduced to him, also they guy being introduced to his sister Lauren, while they don't interest him. He had excused himself for a break since there was a lot of maidens and went to another room to sit for a while, it is tiring standing up, so he took 10 minutes rest. 5 minutes in he notices a girl looking lost and goes up to her.
Jayden said," Hi miss, do you need some help?"
Mia turns and said" Yes, I just got here, and I can't find the ballroom"

Jayden said" Here, why don't I escort you there, I know where it is"
Mia said," Thank you, I'd love that, so what are you doing here?seeing the the princess?"
Jayden said" Nope, no way"
Mia said," Then what are you doing here?"
Jayden said" My parents made me come, and find someone for me to marry, its not an event for to get the Prince and princess married, it can be for us to find our own girlfriends and boyfriends for the rest of us"
Mia said," Oh, why did they make you come?
Jayden said," I need to for my family's sake, I'm one of the last living person in my family."
Mia said" Oh that's sad, I also lost my parents too and don't have any blood relatives left"
Jayden said" oh sorry I didn't know"
Mia said," I'm used to it, all I have left is my stepfamily"
Jayden said," Oh So, what do you like to do in your spare time?"
Mia said" I like to do karate, it's a family tradition in my family"
Jayden said" Me too, when we get to the ballroom, would like to dance with me young miss?"
Mia said" I would love too, kind sir" while blushing
Jayden said," So, what kind of music do you like?"
Mi said," I like about anything, I just love to sing"
Jayden said," Okay then can you sing me something for me?"

They had arrived in the ballroom and open the doors, everyone is waiting for the prince to come back, but when they see him they get excited, then they see who he is with. They look up at him in surprise that he is interacting with someone, even though he hasn't interacted with anyone, even though he was introduced to many maidens everyone is wondering who this girl is, and why she is with the prince.
Jayden said" Come on let's dance?" held his hand in front of her
Mia said," Oh my, right in from of all these people?"
Jayden said," Don't pay any attention to them, just pretend we are the only people here.?"
Mia said" okay" while taking his hand
The music start to play and everyone is dancing along with them. Mia is staring at him while they are dancing…
