Chapter 2
Beth was in shock, to say the least. Why was Optimus Prime here? He looked like he was a prisoner here, but why would he be a prisoner? Surely, that couldn't be possible. Would her father be involved in something so heinous, like the kidnapping of an innocent being who protected this world?
Beth walked up slowly and cautiously. Beth's eyes went to the way Optimus' legs and arms were held down. A hand went to her mouth as she realized what they were doing to him, and it made her angry as well.
He was being tortured!
"Optimus?" Beth whispered.
Optimus ignored the human. He wanted no part of them.
Optimus' POV
I heard her voice; this was a new form of trickery sending in a female to distract me. I would not fall for it; never again would I trust humans. I heard and then felt this human female climbing on the lab table I was on.
I frowned as she reached it and came over to my faceplates. She touched my faceplates.
"Optimus, what happened to you?" she had the nerve to ask me.
"Like you do not know what is going on here, they are torturing me and destroying me as they did to my Autobots. Megatron was so right I should have listened to him, but I had to take the side of the humans," I growled painfully.
"I never harmed you; please don't take it out on me; I want to help you, please," she replied.
At first, I ignored her; I needed to get out of here, and if she was willing to do that, fine. I could use her just like I was used, and then perhaps if she is with me, they won't harass me if they think she is a prisoner.
"Fine, get me out of here," I remarked as she glanced at me.
Then she smiled.
"Alright, I never liked it here anyway, but I will need to get all my money out of my bank account. I don't want to use any plastic; it's too traceable, and they would find us way too fast, alright?" the human femme asked.
"Affirmative," was all I said then.
"Alright, let's get you free and then out of here," she stated.
Silence hit us both as she went to the panels of buttons and found the releases for my servos and legs.
"Can you transform?" she asked me.
"I believe so, yes," I answered her question.
"Good, do it," the femme replied as I frowned.
I needed to know something.
"Why do you even care?" I demanded.
"Because this is wrong, and I had no idea my father could be so damn cruel," she snapped, but I don't think she was snapping officially at me at the time.
She grabbed her backpack as I transformed, and I scanned the walls for weaknesses, and found some and knew I could ram the walls to getaway. She climbed up into my vehicle form, and the second she was in and had the seatbelt on, I took off.
The nano-second I crashed through the wall, agony raced and pulsated throughout my circuits. That was not one of the best moves I've done, but it needed to escape there.
"What is your name?" I asked her.
"Beth Savoy, but not caring about the Savoy part anymore. I want no part of my father; he's cruel. I can't believe he would hunt down innocent beings who fought for our world like this," she said. "God, no wonder you snapped at me; you must hate humans now," she said as I drove for a while, then stopped to let Beth get her money.
She would need clothes and human fuel and other things.
I sighed.
What the slag was I doing all over again... Believing... Hoping...daring to trust only to get betrayed once more.
