Korra's so afraid though fights the urge to run away. She knows she has to defeat the masked man, that's what people expect from her but within hours of their inevitable showdown, she's starting to have second thoughts.
"How are you? I guess you are excited", she hears Tarrlok's words but these don't register in her mind.
Korra abruptly is pulled out of her reverie when a warm hand touches hers. "Hey, I know you can". He says and intertwines their fingers. It's a small detail and she doesn't know why but she feels herself loosening up a little bit.
" Thanks".
