"My lord we have searched the area and found nothing." the warrior whose head was bowed told him in a defeated voice.

Glorfindel sighed and sat down heavily on a rock.

It had been 4 days since Legolas and Estel were taken, and since they had departed from Imladris to search for them. They were all tired yet neither Glorfindel nor the warriors with him accepted to return back to Imladris empty handed.

He thought back to when he had gathered the warriors around back in Imladris, to take a couple for the search and rescue. The little twins had a notorious reputation for their mischief and pranks, yet they were dear to every citizen of Imladris. The warriors themselves especially adored the little twins, often volunteering to take them on rides and play with them.

When they heard that their precious little twins were taken, they had all volunteered, fighting with each other to book a place in the search and rescue party. The ones left behind were thoroughly disappointed, for they were filled with rage and had hoped to take their revenge on the miserable wretch who dared and harmed the twins.

Glorfindel snapped from his thoughts and turned his attention back to the warrior facing him.

" It's alright soldier. Do not despair for we will find them." he told him gently, trying to lace his voice with hope and courage, if only for the sake of the worried young warrior.

At Glorfindel's words, the warrior's eyes blazed with newfound determination and he nodded firmly.

" Aye my lord." he said then bowed and took his leave to drink some water and gather his strength.

Just then, they heard the sound of hooves approaching. The warriors all sprang to their feet and pulled out their weapons, as they waited for the unknown being to approach.

The bushes rustled then a magnificent brown horse appeared, resulting in the elves letting out a cry of relief at the sight of the rider.

"My lord Elrond." the lead warrior said as they all bowed their heads and placed their right hands on their hearts.

"Rise soldiers. 'Tis good to see you doing well." he said as he dismounted.

"Elrond! Am I glad to see you!" Glorfindel said as he approached him and the two embraced tightly. The warriors then retreated to a fair distance away from the two, to give them some privacy.

After they detached Glorfindel looked into Elrond's eyes with sadness.

"El, there's something you should know.." he began to say but Elrond cut him off.

"I know." Elrond said simply, yet his voice was thick with pain and sadness.

"The bond?" Glorfindel asked.

Elrond nodded "I heard Estel's voice, but then I began to feel it. Legolas.. my little leaf.. he's fading. And I know naught where he is or how to help him." Elrond said, his eyes reflecting the fear and anguish of loosing his child.

"And Estel?" Glorfindel questioned, his heart clenching at the thought of loosing his sweet blonde nephew.

"Nay, Estel is well. I feel nothing wrong through the bond which puzzles me." Elrond replied.

Glorfindel sighed and pulled out a piece of paper from his armor "You'll understand when you read this." he said as he handed it to Elrond.

Elrond took it shakily then proceeded to read it. Glorfindel watched as the fearful and pain filled face was replaced with rage and hell bent revenge.

"He kidnapped my children, the ones who are yet to wield a children's sized sword and barely as tall as my hip, to get back at the actions of some elves that may or may not have caused the death of his children." he hissed, knowing he would've shouted otherwise.

Glorfindel didn't answer and just placed a comforting hand on Elrond's shoulder.

Elrond just closed his eyes and took a couple of deep breaths to calm the fiery rage that ignited inside him.

"We've been searching for 4 days El, and we haven't found a trace. The human is good at hiding his tracks. What should we do now? I have yet to think of another plan."

At that, Elrond's visage brightened up a bit, "Adar and naneth are here. Naneth has been having visions. She has been trying to tap into it to figure out the exact location."

Glorfindel smiled, the first genuine smile he had donned in days, "That is wonderful news gwador nin . Where are they now?" he asked.

" Naneth is still trying to tap into the connection, but I came here to get you. They're right outside the bunch of bushes." Elrond answered as he pointed to beyond the bushes.

"Let's go to them." Glorfindel said as he threw an arm around Elrond's shoulders then the two elves made their way to find their parents.

"Adar." Glorfindel said as he spotted his father sitting on a rock staring at his wife who had her eyes closed, a light enveloping her.

Celeborn's face brightened "Ion nin it is good to see you." he said as he threw his arms around his son.

Glorfindel hugged him back then pulled back and stared at his father's face, finding red and bloodshot eyes.

"Adar?"

Celeborn pressed his lips into a thin line "Legolas. Your mother's been having visions of him, and your brother's feeling that he's fading through their bond. He's not in good shape." he said, voice laced with anguish.

Just then, Galadriel gave a loud cry and the light around her faded.

"Naneth!" cried Elrond and Glorfindel as Celeborn cried "Meleth nin!"

Galadriel composed herself then looked at them " I am alright. I couldn't figure out the exact location but I could make sense of the direction. We should hurry, for Legolas is in worse shape than when I last saw him." she said looking at Elrond for confirmation, as she knew how strong the bond between him and the elfling was.

He nodded "I can feel him slipping slowly." he said sorrowfully.

"I'll gather the warriors, then naneth, you lead the way. I want to get the miserable prick of a human for doing all this." Glorfindel growled.

Tears streamed down Estel's face as he took in the sight of his twin.

As the days passed, the sadistic human did not show any mercy towards the elfling, instead opting to hurting him over and over, and Estel could do nothing but watch.

He watched as the human kicked his brother in his chest, ribs and stomach. Watch as the human stepped on his brother's wrist, snapping it as the elfling screamed in pain. It was on the same limb that was slashes by the human's knife. He watched as Legolas's face paled then red spots appeared on his cheeks, a result from the infection caused by the slash on his arm. He watched as Legolas vomited and coughed up blood, due to the internal bleeding that was slowly progressing and becoming more serious. He could do nothing but watch as his other half, his very heart and soul just in another body, was being torn away from the world of the living, slowly.

The human then entered the room holding a cup of water, but instead of giving it to Estel to drink, as he had been doing for the last couple of days, he crossed over to Legolas and placed it to the elfling's lips. The very thirsty and sick elfling gulped down the water eagerly, even in his sleep.

After the water was gone, the man stood up, smiling, then crossed over to Estel.

"You must be wondering why I gave him something to drink. That maybe a had a change of heart?" The man asked the child.

Estel silently nodded, to which the man smirked.

"Nay, you see, the water was laced with a poison. No it will not kill him," he said as he saw Estel's eyes widen, then continued "It will just make him very sick for a while. But it won't work now, as it's a very slow acting one. It'll take up to weeks for it to show its true face." the man said cynically.

Then, he knelt down and started to cut Estel's bonds.

"I think you've suffered enough haven't you, child. It's time to let you go." the man said as he freed Estel.

Estel felt relief and happiness surge through him, he could finally get Legolas home so he could receive the medical attention he so desperately needed. As he made his way to where Legolas lay, breathing harshly, the man blocked his way.

"Oh no child. I said it's time for you to go home. Your brother, he will stay right where he is." the man said, his smirk still firmly in place.

"NO! NO I'M NOT LEAVING WITHOUT MY BROTHER! NO NO N..." Estel started screaming and kicking at them man, but the man quickly pressed a cloth to the child's mouth and nose, making him inhale the same chemicals he did when the twins were first kidnapped.

Just then, Estel's movements stilled and fell back, limp, into the man's arms.

"Time for you to go where the elves can find you child." The man said as he carried him and started his way out the door.

Author's note: That's the end of the chapter. I just included a description of what Legolas went through because I don't think my heart can handle writing the actual things. They're too graphic and much.

Please don't hesitate to throw in a review! And don't forget to favorite and follow the story!

Until next time, meemz:)
