Chapter 2

Time skip to Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Harry and Ron had nearly not made it to Hogwarts. They missed the train; the barrier wouldn't open. Instead, they'd taken the Weasley's car, with Ron at the wheel. They'd flown it directly into a killer tree, the Whomping Willow, and gotten detention because of it.

The next day at breakfast, the letter arrived. While Harry was fixated on a certain young red-headed girl-discreetly, of course-someone exclaimed, "Ron's got a Howler!"

"I didn't open one from my grandma once," Neville said nervously, eyeing the red letter in Ron's hand warily. "It was horrible…"

"Yeah, open it Ron," Seamus said.

Ron's face was pure anxiety, but he opened the seal anyway-

"RONALD WEASLEY!" shouted the envelope, Mrs Weasley's voice filling the entire Great Hall. Ron dropped the thing immediately, which it then floated up and continued shouting.

"HOW DARE YOU STEAL THAT CAR! I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! YOUR FATHER IS FACING AN INQUIRY AT WORK, AND IT IS ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT! IF YOU STEP ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE, WE WILL BE BRINGING YOU STRAIGHT HOME! Oh, and Ginny, dear, congratulations on getting into Gryffindor. Your father and I are. So proud."

The letter then tore itself up. Ginny instantly turned bright red, the shade of Weasley hair, after receiving the compliment from her mother.

God that looks so cute, Harry thought.

Harry, what are you thinking?! Snap out of it! Ron's little sister, remember?

He shook his head, pretending to reassure Ron, who was nearly in nervous tears, whining like an idiot. Ginny looked at her brother with some sympathy before saying, "There there, Ronnie. It'll be fine. Mum'll get over it soon."

Aawhh, said Harry's mind.

"Ginny's right," Harry told Ron, nearly choking on the word 'Ginny.'

Ginny smiled in Harry's direction, who quickly looked down, his face burning.

"Hello, boys, having fun I see?" Hermione's voice said from above them. The curly-haired girl was standing over Ron and Harry, holding her Potions book firmly, smiling.

"Hi Hermione," Ron and Harry said together.

"Hello," Ginny said.

"Oh, this is my sister, Ginny," Ron explained.

"A pleasure to meet you," Hermione said politely.

"You too," said Ginny.

"Well, at least there'll be more interesting girls to talk to around here. See you in Potions, Ron and Harry."

"See ya," said Ron, stuffing another sausage in his mouth. Hermione raised an eyebrow at him before walking away.

"Ron, we should probably go and get our books and stuff now," Harry suggested.

"Yeah, alright, alright," Ron said, standing up. "I'll get the books, you think of an excuse if I'm late."

"Okay, fine, but we're talking about Snape," Harry pointed out.

"I'm sure you'll think of something," Ron called over his shoulder, walking off at a slightly faster pace after hearing Snape's name.

And now Harry was left with Ginny.

God, help, I'm going to make a fool of myself, he thought desperately, looking at Ginny with a pink face.

"Um, bye Harry!" Ginny squeaked, flushing a little bit herself. "See you after class?"

"Um, yeah sure, we can hang out at the Whomping Willow if you'd like," Harry said.

"I'd love to!" Ginny said enthusiastically before skipping away.

Harry. You just asked Ron's sister out. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

Harry met Ginny by the Whomping Willow later that day. He'd nearly collapsed several times on his way there, having full on panic attacks every few seconds.

"Harry!" Ginny cried, bounding up to him.

"Hi Ginny!" Harry said.

"So. Um. Why did you ask me here?"

"I just, um, wanted to, um, get to know you a bit," Harry fumbled.

"Oh, okay. Could you help me with Transfiguration? We've got to have it done by tomorrow, and I'm really stuck with it," Ginny asked.

"Oh, yeah, sure," agreed Harry, glad to get off the topic of why in Merlin's beard he'd asked Ginny here. If she only thought he wanted to be friends, he was fine with it. Hopefully he'll get to know her then realise he doesn't actually-

Don't you DARE go there, Harry.

Snape's detention for Harry and Ron not arriving on the train was… annoying to say the least. It was now two weeks after their little excursion, and Harry was heading to Lockhart's office, which was plastered with photos of him.

He thinks himself far too highly above others, Harry thought in a voice he decided sounded like Dumbledore.

Harry kept hearing voices that said "blood" in a hissing voice. He had told Hermione and she said hearing voices in a magical world is not a good thing… Especially voices that no one else could hear. Harry had been thinking about these, and a certain redhead, with a scent that smelled like flowers. Snap out of it Harry!

Oh Godric, why am I thinking like this?! It's Ron's bloody little Sister for Merlin's sake.

While Harry had been "surviving" detention with a famed Gilderoy Lockhart, he had heard the voice once again, "Blood of the impure…"

"Did you hear that?" Harry asked

"Hear what, Harry?" Gilderoy replied

"Oh, nevermind professor."

"Harry, my boy, look at the time! Merlin's beard! Time does fly when you are having fun."

"Fun for you," Harry muttered

"Well looks like you're going to have to pop off, wasn't that fun!"

"Yes Professor, it was a lot of fun. I wish I could do this again, under much less severe terms."

"Of course Harry! Just let me know when you want to chat or answer some fans, yes?

"Of course, sir."

Harry quickly left the area without making it look like he had not enjoyed it.

He quickly bolted back up to Gryffindor Tower with his Book Bag bouncing around as it flew behind him. As he reached Gryffindor Tower he saw only three people were still up: Ron, Hermione and the lovely redhead Ginny.

Gahh! Stop it Harry if her brothers knew what you were thinking you would be dead! Questions asked later!

But Damn that blouse does look good… SNAP OUT OF IT HARRY!

"Anything new about the git Harry?" asked Ron

"Nah nothing sorry, apart from the fact that he thinks everyone bloody worships him!" Harry replied.

Everyone parted ways after that. Hermione and Ginny heading up the stairs to the girls' dorms, and Harry and Ron heading to the dorms they shared with Neville Longbottom, Dean Thomas and Seamus Finngan.

Hey Folks! Sorry for the short chappie! We'll try to get another one out soon! Read and Review helps out a lot!
