Vincent continued to dance with Nekara. Her hands still all over him and him having that blank look in his eyes once again.
He had tried to get her hands off of him, but she wouldn't stop holding him tighter.
Suddenly, she stopped dancing, and so did he.
"How about we finish this night off with a little kiss?" the enchantress asked him, grabbing his face and leaning in.
Vincent was just about to do exactly as she said, but then he heard the sound of Daphne's voice getting picked up on his crystal ball.
"Whatever you do, and wherever you are, do NOT kiss her."
Vincent backed away from Nekara now, and she looked at him in fury.
"Those fools are on their way to save you!? Not on my watch," she snarled.
There was another voice that he heard, but this time it was Flim Flam.
"You have to run. Now!"
Vincent pulled out the crystal, and he fled immediately.
"Come back to me!" Nekara demanded.
She began chasing after him, pushing her way through the crowd.
Despite being a ghost longer than he had been a warlock, Asamad still could never forget all of the rules in the warlock and witch community.
He had remembered one in particular. All warlocks are immortal, and can choose how long they want to live. But if they ever got drained of their magic, well, they'd end up dying 24 hours after, as they couldn't live long without their powers. It was believed by many to be a part of their bodies.
Which means that if he and the others did not find Vincent before the clock struck midnight, he'd…
Asamad didn't want to think about it. Especially not right now.
Instead, he sat in silence as Daphne continued driving.
"So, how long do we have until midnight now?" Flim Flam asked, holding the crystal.
"Just a little bit over 15 minutes," Velma answered..
"Okay. Well, I still haven't been able to see or hear from Vincent."
Suddenly, everyone could hear loud music playing, and a crowd of warlocks came into view right in the street, making Daphne hit the brakes.
"Ugh, seriously?" she groaned. "Why do they all have to be out here right now?"
"I think they're partying," Cheryl realized.
"For what? Their doom since Nekara's obviously gonna want to consume their magic too?" Shaggy gulped.
"Yeah, but they're probably celebrating all of the people who got awards tonight."
Asamad stood up.
"I'll get them to move," he told everyone.
He exited the van and went towards the warlocks, standing right in front of them until they noticed him.
They all stopped dancing and turned off the music, looking straight up at him.
"Please move," he began, "We're trying to get through."
They all stepped aside, clearing a way for the gang to pass by.
"Thank you."
He went back into the van and they resumed driving off.
"Thanks Asamad," Daphne said.
"You're welcome."
Suddenly, everyone could hear the sound of someone panting heavily from the crystal ball.
"That must be Vincent!" Jayden exclaimed.
"It sounds like he's running," Velma pointed out.
A woman was now heard yelling in the background.
"Running from Nekara," Flim Flam finished. "He really did hear us."
Only Vincent's face slowly appeared in the crystal, as everyone, except for Daphne and Velma since they were in the front seats, gathered around to see him.
"Where are you?" Asamad questioned.
"I- I don't know. I am not sure if I can run anymore, she's demanding me to stop," he quavered.
"Don't give in. That's what she wants."
"Yeah, and we'll find you." Flim Flam added.
The background appeared now, revealing some kind of cemetery.
"Wait, I know where he is now. That's the cemetery near the place where they almost got married last time," Shaggy recalled.
"We're on our way there then," Daphne announced, making a turn.
"He almost got married to her?" Velma asked.
"Technically, yes. Not voluntarily though, he was under the love spell at that point. She really forced the ceremony just to get him to kiss her," Cheryl mentioned.
"Oh."
Vincent kept running but then soon fell over a gravestone, and looked behind him to see Nekara rushing towards him.
He got to his feet and tried to outrun her, but then she grabbed ahold of him.
"No!" he screamed, trying to break free of her grip.
The others gasped.
"Vincent!" Daphne cried out. "What happened?"
"Nekara just grabbed him!" Jayden told her.
"Oh gosh..."
"Let me go!" Vincent insisted.
"Not until I have what I want," Nekara hissed.
"I don't love you, and you clearly don't love me," he snapped back.
She knocked the crystal ball out of his hands in absolute rage at what he said and it fell right onto the floor. Both Vincent and Nekara disappeared from view as the crystal reverted back to its original form.
Everyone gasped once more, and Jayden immediately attempted to get it to work again.
"I'm really trying, but the crystal won't turn on. I think she may have messed with it," he said.
"Great, now she has him again and we aren't even able to see what she's doing now," Asamad sighed.
"But we can once we get to them since Shaggy figured out where they are," Cheryl responded.
"Ri just hope all rof us can make rit rhere in time," Scooby whimpered.
A few moments later, the gang finally arrived at the cemetery, exiting the van with their flashlights.
They hid behind the bushes, and could see Vincent and Nekara again, with her still trying to tempt him.
"She's putting her hands on him and grabbing him tight. Absolutely revolting and vile," Asamad ranted.
"Exactly. Poor Vincent," Daphne fretted, she could feel her heart breaking into pieces by just watching them.
"Rhow are we ronna sneak up ron her ragain?" Scooby wondered.
"I'm going to confront Nekara while Velma and the rest of you will go around and get behind her when she doesn't notice."
"Just be careful, Daph," Shaggy told her as the others departed.
"I will," she replied.
She came out of the bushes and rushed towards Vincent and Nekara.
"Leave him alone!" she exclaimed.
"Daphne…" Vincent mumbled as he saw her.
"Vincent! Are you okay?"
"Get away from him!" Nekara ordered.
