Thank you for supporting this story. I really had no idea where I was going but I don't really know where I am going with any of my stories. I appreciate the messages encouraging me to keep the story going. I went and edited chapter 5 and I hope it is to you all liking...

Sesshomaru attempted many times to win Rin back. At times his father's advice sounds right but other times he was against it. He felt that Rin was "his" wife, and their time apart would only make her reject him even more, to where she really would want a divorce. So far, it has only been a separation, and this separation is killing him. At least then he was able to frequent their residence, but now he could not even enter the home.

Sesshomaru and Jaken have a meeting:

"What should I do Jaken?"

"My lord I believe what Lord Toga said was right, even though it has been several months later". Jaken was sad because he and Rin grew so close. He was very disappointed in his lord; but he knew he could never express it. "I have talked to Rin, and she is not ready. She barely wants to talk with me because she knows where my loyalty lies".

"I don't want you in the middle of this. I messed this up; I have to fix it".

Sesshomaru turns, "But I need you to do me a favor. You may not like it, but there is something I need to know".

"Yes, my lord, I will do it".

As Rin is packing up to leave from work, Yuka her employee/friend walks up to her.

"Hey Rin, are you excited about tonight?"

"Not really, it is strange, going out somewhere with someone that isn't my husband. I want to get out, I feel cramped up inside at home with all my feelings. It is very depressing".

"That is more the reason to get out there. Sesshomaru publicly humiliated you and he has been harassing you trying to make every effort to impress you, to win you back. That does not work, changed behavior maybe".

"Yes, he did, even though I hate to admit it right now, he is still my husband whom I have not stopped loving. I am only agreeing to do this to see if I can live a life without Sesshomaru. If I am supposed to be with anyone else besides Sesshomaru, period".

Yuka nods, "I agree, call me if you need me".

The girls walk their separate ways. Rin sits in her car and wonders if she is making the right choice.

Rin finally gets her thoughts together about going on the date tonight. At this point, her marriage was over, and she had no intentions on reconciliation.

Rin would change her number, but Sesshomaru would just find them out, to where she purchased a burner phone in hopes he could not track it anymore.

Rin begins to get herself together for the night, but then has a flashback of when Sesshomaru could not find anything to wear. He complained to her while she was putting on makeup. Rin had to stop what she was doing to find a suit and tie that would match. She smiled at that memory; they had a simple life. Although they were rich and attended fancy parties, they made sure they made time for each other.

That memory also made her feel guilty for wanting to go out on a date. She felt like she was the one that was cheating and was paying him back. But in reality, she just wanted to feel good. She knew this date would not go past this night and she hoped that Hitan would understand that. She thought about canceling because now she feels like she would string him along. He had to know what a marriage meant, and that it is not easy to just up and walk away.

If he does not understand that, then what would be the point to go out with her? To say he went out with Rin Taisho? He could be like that whore Sesshomaru slept with and go on the news, and say he fucked her brains out. Now she thinks this is a bad idea, she calls her friend to get some advice.

"Hey Yuka, I am starting to feel apprehensive".

"Why is that Rin?"

"I don't think this is a good idea, everything is still fresh. I do not want people thinking I am a whore as well, and that I moved on too quickly. Truth be told I have not, I still struggle".

"I understand, but don't look at it as a date, just someone to talk to, someone of the opposite sex that is".

"Can you inform him that this isn't a date, it's just two people hanging out, and suggest that maybe we should change from a restaurant to somewhere fun".

"I can do that Rin; I am sure he will understand".

"Thank you so much".

Rin made sure she wore a hat that hoping that covered up her features as much as possible, hoping she wouldn't get noticed.

Hitan picks Rin up, and he thought they should do something normal like bowling.

"I have not been bowling in forever, thank you for choosing here," Rin says.

"It is cool Rin; we are just hanging out. Let us enjoy the state of being because time will pass us by quickly. Before we know it, we are old and did not enjoy the little things in life. Sometimes laughter is the best stress reliever from everything that is going on around us".

"I like the way you put that; I can get with that".

They go pick out their shoes and were told which lanes they would have. Hitan went and ordered some loaded nachos, hot wings, fries, and two sprites.

Rin looks at the food, "Oh yeah this is going to be a good night. I have not had food like this in forever".

"That is good to hear".

"Not for my stomach later, it will make me pay".

They both laugh at Rin's comment.

They start the game; Rin was having a good time. Hitan did not ask about her relationship with Sesshomaru. He only wanted to get to know her to have a good time bowling and eating.

They were finishing their last game when she sees from the corner of her eye, silver hair. She fully turns to that direction; her expression was as if she saw something horrific.

Sesshomaru knows what his father said about no more pop ups and to give her time, this was one of the times he did not agree with. He finds out she has gone on a date with another male. She was his, in his eyes.

Sesshomaru had Jaken watching Rin for the past couple weeks. There was nothing out of the ordinary until he informed him that Rin left their home with another male. He tailed them until he ended up at their destination. Jaken let Sesshomaru know, and he got there as fast as he could. Sesshomaru's intentions were to stay outside for as long as he could, but he is impatient. He will not let some other male touch his wife or be in such close proximity of her, even though this was hypocritical of him.

Sesshomaru begins walking up to the two; Rin looks to Hitan, "I am sorry, I don't know how he found out where I was".

"It is fine; I know it's not your fault".

"Step away from my wife!"

"Sesshomaru what the hell are you doing here? I know I made my intentions perfectly clear".

"So, you now have time for this but didn't have time for our marriage?"

"Excuse me!"

She turns to Hitan, "Excuse me for this abrupt meeting".

Hitan shakes his head, "I will give you your time".

"Thank you".

She turns to look at Sesshomaru. "I will speak with you in private".

They walk outside away from people. People were starting to notice the couple.

"You have time for dates? But you couldn't even see that I was unhappy, that our marriage was turning for the worst. You no longer had the time for our marriage nor me".

"I admit I did let work get the best of me, but the difference is Sesshomaru I did not go behind your back and fuck someone for a whole year. You probably would have kept going if I never stepped in that office. I did not fuck around; I was working".

She says sarcastically, "You were barely working but doing a whole lot of fucking".

"You will not be seeing him anymore. I can easily get rid of him".

"Sesshomaru as far as I know we are not together anymore. You did what you wanted to do, and I am doing what I want to do as well. You can go back to your little whore. She took good care of you, and I didn't".

Rin walks away from him and Sesshomaru is beyond frustrated. He did not like this turn of events; he was supposed to win Rin back. She had to understand his side of things. Maybe he was not as strong-willed as he thought he was, maybe Rin was stronger than he is. He yearned for his wife, but days turned into weeks, into months and then a whole year.

Sesshomaru thought he still had access to her because they were still married. He thought he could fix this with money, but it was more to it than that. He would have to learn that it goes deeper than money; he would have to mend her broken heart, her spirit.

Rin enters back into the building and continues with Hitan for their last game. She didn't care about what the tabloids would say tomorrow', she would enjoy the rest of her time with Hitan. Sesshomaru sits in his car and waits until they come out. He heard her laughing and saw her smiling; he missed that. It had been a couple months since their separation and it had been torturous, it felt like years for him.

Rin gets in the car with Hitan and Sesshomaru slowly follows behind. As they arrive to the estate, he parks. He morphs into a beam of light and watches from a distance, listening to their conversation.

"I really enjoyed my night with you Rin".

"Yes, it was very fun until we got disrupted".

"Oh, that was nothing; it didn't ruin anything for me. You handled yourself very well".

Rin thinks Hitan deserves another chance because it was unfair that Sesshomaru interrupted their time together. "Maybe we could meet up somewhere without disruption".

Sesshomaru thinks, without disruption?

He automatically thinks of the two alone and him pushing himself inside of Rin. It sounds so seductive the way she said it to him. She is flirting with him, he thinks.

"I would like that Rin. To be honest, I thought you would not want to see me again. The way your husband popped up, and it may just be jealousy or possessiveness, but he has a lot of passion for you. You are married Rin, and it is not that easy to walk away from".

Rin was not expecting that response, "So what are you saying?"

"I think hanging out with you would be awesome, but I also don't want to fall for you when you are in love with your husband. I am okay with being friends with you".

Rin thinking, Am I getting the "just friends" card?

Rin begins to giggle, "No we are on the same page. I would like to take this one day at a time. I like what you have shown me, and I appreciate your words. I just know I would love to hang out again, if that is okay with you".

"Yes, that is more than okay. I would love to hang out with you again as well".

Sesshomaru thought the boy was shutting Rin down nicely at first. He liked where the conversation was headed, but now he was ready to take his lightning whip and snap the boy's head off. Sesshomaru is beyond frustrated. Every time he thinks he is stepping into the right direction; it takes him 10 steps back. What does he have to do, to prove to Rin he really wanted to mend this marriage back together?

Sesshomaru leaves once he sees Rin go inside the house and watch the boy leave. He sits in his car watching their home; it should be filled with their pups. Sesshomaru could not live his life if Rin was not by his side. He kept his distance for as long as he could, but he could not do it anymore.

Sesshomaru calls Jaken, "I think I may have messed up any chances I would have with Rin".

"My lord may I make a suggestion".

"What is it?"

"Have you ever thought about some kind of counseling? Would you be open to that?"

"That was my last option, but my wife is a human, I could take it in consideration".

"Maybe I could be the birdie in her ear".

"Do as you please".
