FURIOUS
He usually kept an even keel. In fact, Hogan didn't know Carter could get into such a state. But, right now, the mild-mannered sergeant was furious.
And it was absolutely terrifying.
"I'm going down to my lab," Carter seethed in a dark tone.
Everyone shared a nervous glance.
"Carter—"
"I'll be back," Carter snapped. Grabbing his most recent letter, he hit Kinch's bunk with such force that it made Newkirk jump.
He left, but the tension was still thick.
"Ummmm. Should we be worried about getting blown up?"
"Someone needs to find out what's wrong."
Thirteen voices replied, "Not it!"
