They needed wood. The weather was getting colder and they would need every scrap they could get.
Klink authorized a work detail. Schultz, of course, was sent to guard it.
He wasn't surprised to find that when it was time to go back home, four of the men were missing. He was surprised that Colonel Hogan was genuinely confused.
"Really? But—"
"Wahoo!"
Schultz and Hogan raced towards the sound. They found Newkirk and LeBeau in a tree, ready to jump into a massive leaf pile that Carter and Kinch were climbing out of.
Schultz just smiled fondly at his boys.
