Nursery Extravaganza
In mere days, Tsukasa found Jean-Paul, the best nursey designer. The renowned designer moved into the Domyoji mansion with his own private wing. Tsukasa desired only the best for his little Princess. Tsukushi fearful of not having any voice in her daughter's nursery, confronted Tsukasa in bed that evening. Glaring at him, she demanded, "Why such extravaganza? Our daughter will not require all these so-called luxuries. All she needs is us." Tsukasa only shook his head, he stated, "My daughter will have the best. She is a Domyoji. She is not a pauper like you." Realizing as soon as the words poured out, he knew that those words and arrogant tone deeply cut into her heart.
Closing his eyes, opened them to gaze into her teary eyes. He reached for her, saying "Tsukushi, I am sorry…" she staired at him, sat up, swinging her legs to get off the bed. He leapt off the bed coming around to stop her. Kneeling down, he stares deeply into her eyes. Seeing his loving eyes, she closes hers and lets the tears flow. " I hate you," she tells him. Sighing, truly these are the three words he hates hearing from her. How many times in High School had she said these very words? Without a second thought, he grabs her into a tight embrace, forcing her head down on his chest. Tsukushi gave no response, other than soft tears falling on his chest. Running his fingers through her hair, he rested his hand gently on her head. Gripping her chin gently, he raised her face, so he could look into her eyes. In a slightly huskier voice, "Tsukushi, I love you. I am truly sorry. I can't bear to have you angry at me, I would rather get beaten up by thugs." Drawing her to his chest, he hugged her, lowering his face into her hair. Smiling when he felt her arms coming around his waist, returning his embrace. He told her, " I'm sorry, Jean-Paul is gone tomorrow. Together we will decorate the nursery. Ok." Pulling away, glancing up at him, she just nodded in agreement.
A month before their baby is due, Tsukasa and Tsukushi stand in their dream nursery. Pale pink walls, with beautiful stenciled burgundy roses with vines and leaves. Their daughter's name entwined in the painted vines. They had agreed on a gorgeous round, pink shaded crib, centered perfectly within the room. Matching pale pink dressers, changing table and other accessories sat on a plush light gray carpet. In one corner near the windows, a beautiful rocking chair with a matching table was placed. In the opposite corner was a soft pinkish colored recliner with plush pink curtains tied back but allowed for privacy if needed. Smiling, they linked arms, proud of their hard work. In particular, Tsukushi's pleased with her cost saving efforts. It was beautiful, and finally they felt ready to greet their daughter. Staring at their daughter's name on the wall, they felt "Akai will have a nursery fit for a Princess.
