It was Thursday afternoon Mollie was at her locker at school.
"Hey babe." Nick said coming over to her.
"Hi."
"Wanna go to the movies tomorrow night?"
"Sure."
"Gotta go." He kissed her. "I love you."
"I love you too." "Bye."
"Bye."
The next night Mollie showed up Nick's house for their date. She was confused when she didn't see his car in the driveway. She got out of her car and knocked on the door. Randy answered it.
"Hi Moll." Randy said. "You look nice."
"Thanks."
"Why are you all dressed up?"
"Nick and I have a date."
"You do?" He said confused.
"Yeah." "Why?"
"He went out with some of his friends."
"He blew me off?"
"It seems that way."
"He's the one who made this date."
"I'm sorry."
"Sometimes he can be a real asshole."
"Yeah, I know."
"Want me to give him a message with he comes back?"
"Yeah, tell him I said to fuck off."
"Ok."
"I guess I'll go home, unless… "Do you wanna hang out?"
"Yeah." "Give a minute to change."
"Ok." "I'll wait in the car."
"Alright."
Randy went upstairs to change. He made sure not to make it look like he was trying to hard. He did put on cologne.
They saw a horror movie. They were in the parking lot.
"Do you wanna drive?" She asked.
"Yeah."
She tossed him the keys. "If you crash my car with no license, I'm kicking your ass." She said jokingly.
He laughed. "Got it."
They went to an ice cream stand and got milkshakes.
"That was such a good movie." Mollie said.
"Yeah it was."
"I was so pissed off when Nick blew me off, I feel so much better now." "Thanks for being here."
"No problem."
They pulled up outside Randy's house.
"I had a good time tonight." Randy said.
"Me to." "Whoever you end up with will be lucky to have you."
"Well, see ya."
"Bye." He got out of the car.
A half hour later Randy was going down the downstairs as Nick came through the front door.
"Mollie says fuck off."
"Oh fuck, our date." "I forgot." He went upstairs to the phone in his room and dialed Mollie's number.
"Hello?" She said.
"Mollie I- She hung up.
