The Intervention

"Elliot, tell us what you need. "I love you." Olivia couldn't move. He hadn't...couldn't have said what she thought he said. Those three words coming out of his mouth. Her legs suddenly felt like jelly, and she wanted to pass out. She forced herself to breathe normally, hoping her face didn't register the shock she knew she felt. He couldn't mean it. He was just in shock over losing Kathy. Elliot paused, his face frozen, as if he realized what he had said. Quickly, he added "all of you". Olivia forced her legs to move, to comfort his children after he left. She drew Kathleen in and hugged her tight, promising she would talk to Elliot in a few days, to try and get him to get the help he needed. "Listen I...f you need help...or just someone to talk to...I am here for you. All of you." Olivia let her gaze wander over all five Stabler children. "Eli...I know you don't remember, but I was there the day you were born. I helped bring you into this world, and I will be here for you now. Any day, any time. You call me. Dickie, Lizzie...I've watched you two grow up. I'm so proud of both of you. Kathleen...Maureen...my sweet girls...*takes each of their hands, squeezes* You two have been there for me for years. Especially when I needed it most. After...I...You supported me and held me up. Let me do the same for you now. I'm so incredibly proud of the women you've become. If *any* of you need anything...or your father does...you know how to reach me. I love all of you very much. Kathleen stood, walking her out. As Olivia left, she whispered in her ear. "He does you know. Love you. And so do we." Olivia turned, eyes wide. Chuckling, Kathleen hugged her tight, murmured, "Night, Liv", and closed the door, leaving Olivia to her thoughts.
