It had been three weeks since Mollie and Randy kissed. They never mentioned it but they both thought about it a lot. There was only a few weeks before summer vacation. Randy and Nick were in Nick's room playing video games.
"I'm breaking up with Mollie." Nick said.
"What, why?" Randy said surprised.
"I want to date other girls."
"I thought you loved her."
"I do but I want to explore my options."
"This is going to hurt her."
"I know." "I feel like shit but I have be honest with her and myself."
"Are you cheating on her?"
"I'm talking to another girl but we haven't done anything."
"How long have you been talking to her?"
"About two weeks." "Don't say anything to Mollie."
"I won't." Randy knew Mollie would be devastated.
The next day at school Mollie went sit down at the lunch table. Nick was standing there waiting for her.
"We need to talk Mollie." He said seriously.
"What's wrong?"
"Just come out to the parking lot with me."
They went out his car.
"Mollie, I want to break up." Nick said.
"What?" She said shocked.
"I'm sorry."
"I thought you loved me."
"I do love you." "I just want to me other people."
"Is there someone else?" She asked with tears in her eyes.
"Yes."
"So, you're cheating on me?"
"We haven't had sex."
She got out of the car and went back into the school. She was crying and not looking where she was going. She ran right into Randy.
"What's wrong Moll?" He asked.
"Nick broke up with me." She said tearfully.
He hugged her. "I'm sorry." He hated Nick for hurting Mollie.
