"He's at it again." Chris said slowly. He was watching the red head outside of his store again shouting about his amazing new sweets.
"What?" Lacey quickly stopped what she was doing to look out of the window. He was right, but this time he had a sale sign. It was better than their prices, much better. They definitely couldn't compete with them. "That stupid ginger pick! He's gonna wish he was never born." Lacey yanked off her apron and slammed it onto the counter. She was going to give him a piece of her mind for the third and last time. Maybe a massive slap whilst she was at it.
"Lacey!" Chris shouted after her. "Don't do something you'll regret." Chris knew Lacey's temper too well. Lacey sighed and reached into her boot, handing him her wand. She had accidentally got too heated in an argument and hexed someone a little too badly. She felt extremely guilty afterwards. She thought a woman was stealing, but the woman hadn't meant to take it. The woman was actually on her way to return the item. Lacey was too angry to see that and hurt the poor women pretty badly. Luckily, for Lacey's sake, she didn't press charges. Chris had sweet-talked her to forgive Lacey and sent her an 'I'm sorry' hamper.
She whipped her head back around, glaring at her prey. If she couldn't hex him, she was surely going to give him a great massive slap. The ginger looked up and saw her storming her way over the road. He smirked, enjoying seeing her so riled up. "Hey stranger," He smiled. "Come to try some of our delicious-"
"What don't you remember me again? Oh, let me guess you're actually triplets? Quadruplets? Sextuplets? Huh?"
"No, I-"
"You're honestly the worst human being I have ever met, do you understand how damaging this is to my business?" Every word that came out of his mouth just made her angrier. No one had ever annoyed her as much as he did.
"Your business? I thought you said it was your fathers?"
"Ha! See you, remember me now? So stop with your little twin act." She yelled, getting tired of his shit.
"Twin act?" The door to the store opened and another tall ginger stepped outside. He looked exactly like the one she was just yelling at apart from they were wearing different outfits. One was wearing a blue shirt, and the other was wearing a purple one.
She turned bright red, she could have just fainted right there and then. She wanted the ground to swallow her whole. This was embarrassing.
"What?" The one who was behind the table laughed. "Cats got your tongue?"
"This doesn't change er-um anything!" She yelled, not wanting to make a fool of herself anymore than she already had. "You shouldn't be selling any of this."
"It's called competition," The one by the door smirked. "You should really look into other businesses around you before you make a fool of yourself."
"We know exactly who you are. You're-" The other one smirked.
"Lacey King." The other by the door finished his sentence, which Lacey thought was fucking weird, very creepy. She couldn't believe her luck. There were two of them. Two ginger demons sent to torture.
"H-how do you know that?" She asked, perplexed. The store wasn't named after her, and she had never worn a name tag.
"We asked around, you have quite the mouth on you."
"Terrible temper." The boys smirked at each other. They were loving the fact she was getting so annoyed over this.
She hated that they had done their research. A couple of people in town didn't have the best things to say about Lacey. Not that she cared what the ginger giants thought about her.
She would have loved to walk straight up to them and slap them both around the face, but she didn't. She didn't want to prove their point. In her defence, everyone she had had a go at deserved it for one reason or another.
"God, you're both as pretentious as each other," She rolled her eyes. She knew these were the type of boys that thought they were god's gift. "I am asking you to stop, it is seriously damaging my father's business." She tried to calm herself down, maybe if she chilled out they might see her point. There might be an ounce of humanity in their gigantic heads.
"We will see what we can do."
"See what you can do?!" She felt her voice get louder again. "Ugh, fine." Lacey walked away, not knowing if she could control herself any longer. She would be sure to kill them if she had stayed an extra minute. She felt both of their eyes glare at the back of her head. This time when she turned her head they were both standing there holding their middle fingers up at her laughing. God, if only Chris hadn't made her give him her wand, she would have hexed them into the next week.
Lacey wanted to come up with a plan to show them who's boss. She wanted to show them she couldn't easily break. She wasn't sure what, but she was going to make sure they wouldn't forget it. Make them regret ever harassing her.
