Jays pov:
The past week has been amazing. We looked at the house and it's perfect for us, so we made an offer and it was accepted. We move in, in two weeks time.
Hank got the adoption sped up so now the kids are officially mine and Evans and the twins couldn't be happier they have Even around all the time and Chris has taken it upon himself to be their big cousin just like with Kelly's and Matt's 2 as well.
Leading up to the wedding was crazy. There was so much to organise. Luckily we have amazing friends and family. Katie and Otis are going to set up Molly's for us and Jill was able to get us the chance to get married at Wrigley Field. Then we had to get our suits cleaned and fitted, and to make sure Will and Kelly had their suits and their best man speeches ready. We had decided that Matt, Eddie, Herman, Adam, Kevin and Antonio would be groom men. Benny and Hank will walk us down the aisle and Boden will marry us. Chris will hold the rings and the twins will be flower kids.
Evan was having a hard week with work trying to get his team in tip top shape and was able to work with Squad 3, and with Evan's family from L.A coming in the day before and Eddie and Evan have it off, so the rest of the crew is working under Kelly from their own truck. Unfortunately that left very little time for us so I decided to do something special seeing as today was his last day at work before the wedding.
With the Twins at Grandpa's Hanks they are happy to spend time with him. I don't know who has missed each other more, Hank or the Twins.
I decided to order a nice dinner from the Thai place Evan loves so much and run him a nice hot bath after I get all the toys out, to relax his tired muscles.
When Evan walks in he sees what I have done. "Jay what is all this where are the kids?" He asks with a massive smile on his face that makes me want to keep surprising him everyday.
"They are with Hank so we can get ready for the wedding. Remember I just asked if he could have them earlier." I told him as we sat down for dinner.
"You have been so stressed with the new job and the wedding I just thought I could make tonight about relaxing and having a bath just enjoying yourself." I explained.
After we eat I lead Evan to the bathroom where I've run the hot bath. I added some bath oils and some bubbles. It smells amazing. "Stay with me?" He asks
As I start stripping him of his clothes.
"Of course baby." I say, as I start kissing his neck.
"You keep that up and we will skip the bath all together." He says and I chuckle.
"Hmm, that's my plan for after your bath." I say as he gets into the tub.
"Now see that's not fair, you've got me wanting you now." he says as he relaxes into the tub.
"Mmhm I see that." I say as I look at Evans' hard member.
"I can't wait to take you tonight," I tell Evan who moans back into the tub.
"So on a side note how was the shift?" I ask as I trace lines on Evans tattoo on the twin Dalmatians on his right forearm under his line tattoo.
"Long and tiring, I swear everyone in Chicago needed help." He then sighs. "When we weren't on calls I was trying to do drills with squad 9 to get them in top top shape, I want them as good as squad 3 if not better." He says and I can see that competitiveness in his eyes. Nobody is more competitive than the Severide brothers.
"Why do they have to be better?" I ask
"To prove a point, that I'm not just living in my brothers and fathers shadows." He says with a sad look.
"What's up babe I know you better than that, something happened what was it?" I asked.
"On a call there was another Battalion Chief there who said that I only got another squad truck because of who my dad and godfather are." Evan says sadly.
"Babe you know that's not true, there's always going to be haters but you need to ignore them and remember you got to the place you are at such a young age all because of you and your hard work, not Benny not Kelly, and not because Grissom likes you. You did this with your hard work!" I tell him, then I kiss him.
"Thanks Jay, you always know the right things to say at the right time!" He tells me.
He kisses me and I kiss him hard in return, I lick my tongue over his bottom lip and he lets me have entrance to his mouth. I helped him get out of the tub without breaking our kiss.
Once he's out I lead him to our room, he's kissing my neck.
"Mhm, I love you so much baby." I told him.
"I love you too." He tells me.
"Make love to me, please Jay." He says and I nod we haven't been able to have full on sex since our first date because of the kids and just not having the time.
"Okay, baby." I told him.
He dries off then lays on the bed. I quickly strip off and join him, by hovering over him so my dog tags that I wear are hanging just above his chest.
I kiss him from his collarbone to his pecs and each tattoo.
Then down his Abs to his happy trail. I take him in my mouth and start to tease him. I swirl my tongue over his slit, then I grab the lube and put some on my fingers and on Evans hole, I slowly slide in one finger then two, then I start scissoring him I stopped sucking him and slid into him.
"Fuck baby." I say "you're so tight." As I thrust into him.
"Oh Jay!" Evan cry's out.
I hit his prostrate on every thrust, it's not long before we are both coming together.
"Fuck baby that was amazing." He says
"I agree, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself though." I tell as I drag him to the shower.
We shower then cuddle and go to sleep. As we have a busy weekend ahead of us.
Evan POV:
It was nice to wake up next to Jay. It felt natural. Even though I adopted the twins, I haven't moved in yet. We felt it would be too much change for them so when we move into the big house I will move in with them too. I can't wait to be waking up next to Jay for the rest of his life.
"Bye Jay next time I see you tonight. Then tomorrow is the big day.I feel like our whole lives have been leading up to this day and I can't wait." I say as I kiss him goodbye. "Oh and don't forget your grooms gifts." I shout out as I close the door for the last time of being Evan Severide tomorrow I will become Evan Halstead-Severide. I then jump in my Jeep and head to Kelly's
"Hey Evan, look at you all nice and relaxed. I don't remember being this relaxed the day before my wedding, if I remember correctly you had to practically tie me down to stop changing everything." Kelly laughed as he greeted me.
"Yeah Jay surprised me last night and dropped the twins off to Hanks early. Nothing like a nice hot bath to get you relaxed." I winked at him as I entered the duplex.
"Thanks I didn't need that today now I'm going to have to convince Matty into my office today to get that out of my head. All though yours is more secluded I might just use yours for that." Kelly replies as he pushes me inside. I laugh knowing Kelly would never do that.
"Go right ahead while you're at it. You might want to work on your speech. I know you're going to wing and remember we are doing a best man dance instead of the mother of the groom dance." I reminded him just to see his face. It's too good to pass up. I know Kelly doesn't like public speaking and he definitely doesn't like dancing. He is a great brother to do both for us.
"That reminds me I got these as a groom's men's gift for everyone." I say as I pull out cufflinks for Matt, Kelly, Herman, Boden and dad. "Each cufflink has a number on them, mine and Eddie's have a number 9 on them, Matt's has 81 on his, you have the number 3, dad has a 4, Herman has 51 and Boden has 25. Then on Jay's side, Jay, Adam, Hank, Atonio and Kevin all have 21 on there's and Will's has a Caduceus on his." I say as I was passing them out to Kelly to give to Everyone at 51 and dad tonight. "Are you able to pass these on please?" I ask as I get ready to leave. I still need to pick up the Diaz's before I head to the airport. "Have a great and safe day at work ok I don't need you all battered and bruised for my wedding pictures." I say as I leave.
"See you tonight you punk." Kelly shouts back as he also heads to his car.
Seeing Chris' face when I get to the door reminds me of a kid at Christmas and seeing all the gifts under the tree.
"Hey you all set?" Eddie asked as I walked into their house and helped myself to a coffee.
"Almost I have this for you guys, have a look then we can head out if Chris is ready." I answered sitting down next to him. "It's just something for you and Chris to wear tomorrow if that's ok Chris doesn't have to wear them if he doesn't want to but you do." I tell Eddie as I pull out his and Chris cuff links.
"Wow man thank you, I love them and I'm sure Chris will too." Eddie says, clapping me on the back.
"I'm glad you like them." I tell him
"We should get going now." I say and he nods. "Come on Chris, it's time to go." Eddie shouts as he grabs his wallet on the way to Chris's room. "Yeah let's go. Do you think Bobby will cook for us tonight?" Chris asked with the 1000 walt smile he has.
"I don't know buddy we are having a barbecue tonight at the park with everyone so I don't think he will tonight." I say as I ruffle Chris's hair.
"Can't he help barbecue?" He adds.
"Of course." I say. "Come on, let's get you to the car. Are you coming Eddie?" I shout over my shoulder to him as we get to the car.
It takes 30 minutes to get to the airport Which is good because we were running late.
We get to the airport and we meet with the whole L.A family out front waiting for us!
"What took you guys so long?" Chim asks
"Just running behind this morning." Eddie says with a sigh.
"Hey Maddie." I say as I hug my sister.
"I can't believe you two are finally getting married." Maddie says, hugging me back.
"I know me either." I say as Eddie goes to get the mini bus that we rented for while they are here.
"So your happy buckeroo?" Athena asks as she hugs me.
"Happier than I have been in a very long time." I told her.
Eddie pulls around in front with the mini bus.
"Okay so everyone this will be your car for the week. I'll be driving you back to the AirBnB and Eddie will take Chris, Denny and Harry in his truck with him.Then you can borrow my car for a spare one if need." I say and everyone nods.
"Sounds good" Everybody says.
"So I heard from Kelly that you adopted the twins." Maddie says and everyone gasps.
"Who has twins?" Hen asks
"Jay and his ex did but she left and left the twins with Jay. We have all the rights now she is gone and I'm also a legal guardian to Alexis Catherine Evelyn Halstead and Noah William Henry halstead." I say
"Evenly? Is that after you, did you guys just put that in there?" Athena asks and I shake my head 'no' and say.
"No he named her after me when she was born he could never let me go, same as I could never let him go so I got his dog tags tattooed over my heart and now he has my CFD badge tattooed over his heart it was a wedding present." I say
"I didn't know you had his dog tags tattooed on you?" Maddie says.
"Yeah right before we ended things 4 and half years ago I got them tattooed and got the ring that I proposed with. Only Kelly knew as he was with me." I say
"That's so sweet. So how's the wedding plans coming along? Do you need any help?" Karen asked.
"Actually we've got it all covered. We are getting married at Wiggly Field after a Cubs game. Jay knows a lady who works there and she planned it all. You guys if you want will come watch the game with us. It was our first date both in high school and now. Then we are off to Molly's. It's a firefighters bar owned by Herman who is a Lieutenant at 51 as well as Otis who's on tuck and married to my younger sister and Shay who you'll meet before. They have closed the bar for us for the night so the kids will be welcomed." I explained what's going to happen tomorrow.
"And tonight we are all heading to Eddie's to have a get together with everyone from one Chicago as everyone calls it so from house 51, precinct 21 and Chicago MED we are all related somehow."
"That sounds great, Buck." Chimney said. "And we are in luck because it's Cubs vs Dodgers tomorrow as well you can count me in." He adds.
"So I was wondering if we can check out your new fire house while we are here. We are so proud of you." Bobby said, making some of my worries about how I got the job a bit better.
"No problem we can talk to everyone tonight and see about you guys doing a shift with us while you're here see what you can bring back to L.A. Don't worry Athena, my new sorta Father In Law is head of intelligence and said you can spend a shift with them. Please know the Chicago way is different to L.A please don't read too much into it." I say looking back to see their faces. "And last and not forgotten I have booked an architecture boat tour for everyone while we are all working and a city pass for everyone so you can all Visit the Shedd Aquarium, Skydeck Chicago, and the Field Museum. David if you like I can talk to my new Brother In Laws if you want to shadow them at MED."
"Wow Buck thank you so much this is amazing and I am so glad you invited us." Hen said while tapping him on the back.
"Why wouldn't I invite you guys to your family."
As they pull up behind Eddie at the AirBnB they step out of the cars and grab their bags.
"The owner had a small issue with one of their other places." I say "We were able to get it sorted for them and they gave us this for a week." I explained.
"Matt had helped them fix a broken pipe and helped fix the damage at cost price for them, he then saw they did AirBnB and asked if they knew of a place that holds 15 people as a joke. Turns out they did." I explained as I handed the keys to Bobby, Hen, David, Maddie and Carla. "Make yourself at home Eddie and I need to go shopping. Will you be ok with Chris? I don't think he will want to come with us?" I asked as they nod letting Chris follow. "We will pick you up at 6 for the BBQ. Just relax for a few hours, see you soon."
Eddie and I go and grab what we need for the BBQ.
"So how are things with you and Sylvie?" I ask Eddie once we grab a cart at the store.
"Good, she's been over every time we don't have shifts. Her and Chris get along well, I really like her." Eddie says
"That's good she's always been great with kids." I tell Eddie, I see him smile at the thought of her.
"How are you with everything? I haven't gotten a chance to ask how you feel about Jay still being active in the army." He says
I sigh then say. "I'm okay, he has to much to fight for now, if he ever goes back I know he'll do his best to come home.'' I told him, as we got to the check out.
"Well, as long as you're happy man that's all that matters.'' Eddie says as we load up his truck with the groceries.
"Thanks man that means a lot to me, I hope you're happy too." I tell Eddie, who smiles at me as we get into the truck and drive back to the house.
Once we get there, I help Eddie get things into the house and sort them, then I leave him to go get everyone from the 118, as everyone else will soon be there.
"I'm just going to pick everyone up, I'll see you soon, I'm also taking your car for Chris." I shout-out. Picking up Eddies keys as I leave
I get to the AirBnB and I see everyone getting ready to come, they are all coming out of the AirBnB and see me.
"Hey, you're actually on time this time." Chim says as he claps me on the back.
"Ha-ha, very funny. Now let's get going before everyone else gets to the house before us.'' I tell them and we all loud up into the minibus and Eddies truck.
"Bobby you ok to follow me I have also sent the address to Athena if you get lost." I asked just before we pulled into the street.
"So are you excited to spend the week with everyone Chris?" I asked as the 3 boys were chatting away at the back? Chris looked back at me and then started to tell me all about his day.
When they get to Eddie's house Chris is out the door dragging everyone to see his new room. Once we get there I see Jay's GMC. I go over to him as he's leaning trying to get the twins out. I go to the other side of the back and open the door.
"Hey munchkins, are we giving daddy a hard time?" I ask and they nod, at least they're honest I think.
"Yes, they refused to get out till they saw you." Jay says scrubbing a hand over his face.
"Did you miss me guys?" I ask and they say in unison. "Yes papa." And I'm shocked this is the first time they've called me papa.
"What-what did-" Jay cuts my stammering off by saying. "They've been calling you papa all day." And that warms my heart.
"Oh, I love you two so much, to the moon and back babies." I say smiling wide to my kids. I still can't believe that they're actually mine.
"We Wuv you too papa." Lexie says reaching for me, so I unbuckle her and she leaps into my arms.
Jay finally gets to unbuckle Noah and I grab the diaper bag, they are almost potty trained but not quite there yet.
"Are you ready to meet some of my other friends?" I ask Lexie who nods, just as I see Kelly, Matt, Shay and Emma, Andy and Lizzie pull up.
"Hey you guys." I say as we walk over to them.
"Hey Evan, Jay, and munchkins." Kelly says ruffling Lexie and Noah's hair.
"Hey, how was your shift? Did my crew give you too much of a hard time?" I asked, concerned.
"No actually, they were great, you're doing a great job with them Evan." Kelly says
"See I told you." Jay says from beside me as he kisses my check.
"Yeah, yeah you were right as always." I say as I playfully nudge his shoulder with mine.
"We better get into the back yard." I say and everyone nods.
I lead everyone through the house and to the back yard.
"Oh my goodness, Buck, is this one of your kids?" Athena asks as she sees me with Alexis.
"Yes this is Alexis but she goes by Lexie and this is our son Noah, and this is my niece Lizzie and nephew Andy." I tell everyone.
"Oh my goodness Shay, Lizzie is the spitting image of you." Maddie says coming over and hugging our brother and Matt, and Shay and Emma.
"Thanks I like to think so." Shay says proudly.
"She has her attitude." Kelly says ruffling his daughter's hair.
"Lizzie, this is my other sister Maddie, can you say hi?" Kelly says to Lizzie who nods
"Hello, I'm Elizabeth Kelly Maddison Severide." Lizzie says proudly.
"Hi, you know my name is actually Maddison too?" Maddie says getting down on Lizzies level.
"Really? Cool." The almost four year old says.
"So how have you been Jay?" Athena asks as she hugs him.
"I've been good, we caught a big case this week and just wrapped it up today so I'm tired." He says
"Oh no that's not good." Athena says.
"I'll be fine. I'm just glad it's over so I can keep my mind on this weekend." Jay says.
Just then Sylvie arrives, and I see Eddie goes to greet her with a kiss and Chris goes over to hug her.
Eddie introduces her as his girlfriend to everyone.
Then everyone from the fire house and intelligence and Will and Connor arrive.
"Hey baby brother and soon to be baby brother in law." Will says hugging Jay and I.
"Hi Will, how are you?" I ask.
"Good, how are you guys? You seemed very relaxed the day before your wedding." Will says.
"That's what I said this morning, the day before my wedding I was a mess." Kelly says.
"Oh how well we all know, it took me and Evan to straighten your ass out." Shay says as she refuses a beer from Eddie and we all look at her funny.
"You guys wanna tell them." She says looking at Matt and Kelly who has shit eating grins on.
"We are expecting another baby, we just finished our last round of IVF and for the call last night. " Kelly tells everyone.
"Congratulations."
"So happy for you guys." Can be heard throughout the whole yard.
A little while after that I find Boden and take him over to Bobby.
"Bobby, this is my Chief Wallace Boden, Boden this is my old Captain Bobby Nash." I introduced the two.
"It's nice to meet you, I heard that you and your crew would like to work a shift with us while you're in town."Boden says
"Yeah it will be nice to see how Chicago does things." Bobby says.
"We'll consider it done, report to firehouse 51 on Monday at 7am for a 24 hour shift. " Boden tells Bobby who nods and shakes his hand.
Just then I see dad and Grissom show up and I go over to them, Lexie is finally playing and not attached to my hip any longer so that's nice.
"Hey dad, hey Grissom." I greet my father and godfather.
"Hey, how are you?" They ask in unison, as they take turns clapping me on the back.
"Good, better than I have been in a long time." I tell them both.
"Good I'm glad." Dad says
"You deserve to be happy Evan." Grissom says
"Thanks you two." I say as Maddie comes up behind me.
"Hi dad, Grissom." Maddie says.
"Maddie, it's so good to see you." Dad says hugging his oldest daughter.
"Thanks dad, this is my boyfriend, Howie but everyone calls him Chimney." Maddie says introducing Chim.
"Hi Nice to meet you sir." Chim says
"Please, it's just Benny." Dad says
"This is the Commissioner of the CFD but also our godfather and pretty much uncle Karl Grissom." Maddie introduces Chim to Grissom.
"Nice to meet you commissioner." Chim says
"Please it's just Grissom at family events." Grissom says, shaking Chims hand. Pulling Chimney closer. "Remember it will only take a phone call if you hurt her." I hear him say as I walk over to Hank.
"Hey Hank, this is Segarengt Athena Grant-Nash from the LAPD, Athena this is Hank he's the twins grandfather." I told her.
"Oh Hi Nice to meet you Hank." Athena says.
"You as well, so I got it so you can work with us on Monday if you'd like." Hanks says to Athena.
"That'll be great, thank you. Can't wait to see the Chicago way." Athena says.
Once the twins are asleep Jay and I carry them over to Hank's car. "Thanks for taking them again Hank, we will see you tomorrow and I will call them tomorrow morning if they get too much. I don't know why they are so clingy right now." Jay told him as they get buckled in
I turn to Jay. "This is the last time I see you until the wedding tomorrow and I can't wait." I say as I go in for a kiss.
"I will see you tomorrow and we can start the rest of our lives then." He kissed back before heading to his truck.
I head to my keep and head to Matt's and kellys as a single man for the last time.
