The next day Chrissy was in town. She and Mollie were having lunch.

"I have news." Mollie said.

"Well I know you're not pregnant."

"I have a date tonight."

"With who?"

"Randy."

"Well it's about time."

"I'm really nervous about it."

"Why?"

"I've slept with Randy but I've never dated anyone but Nick."

"You guys will have a great time."

"I know that but it's just weird going out with someone else, after seventeen years of being with Nick."

After dropping the girls off at Nick's, Mollie went home and started getting ready for her date. She had on a light red dress. As she was putting the finishing touches on herself in the bathroom mirror, there was a knock at the door. She went downstairs and answered it. Randy was standing there wearing a white dress shirt.

"Hi." She said

"Hi." "You looked beautiful."

"Thanks."

"Ready?"

They were at a restaurant. They had ordered.

"Well we can't do the typical first date conversation" Randy said. "We've known each other for almost twenty years."

"Plus we have a child together."

"At least we know the sex is good."

She laughed. "Yeah, we know that."

"I just can't believe I'm finally on a date with you."

"I can't believe it myself." "I never thought in a million years I'd be out with you like this."

"Were you attracted to me before we had sex when we were kids?"

"Yes." "That's why I let you kiss me the night of your sixteenth birthday party."

"I didn't want you to go back to Nick when we were kids."

"I almost didn't because of you"

"Why did you?"

"I loved him." "Looking back at it now, I don't know if he ever really loved me."

"You're way to great and nice of a person for what Nick put you through."

Randy walked Mollie to her door.

"So, what did you think of your first date with me?" Mollie asked.

"I want another one."

"So do I." "Do you know the best part of being on a date with you?"

"What?"

"I can finally do this and not feel guilty." She kissed him. He kissed her back.

"Mollie, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes." "Goodnight."

"Goodnight." She went inside. Randy smiled. He couldn't believe he was finally with Mollie.
