Chapter 2 Start Line

As soon as Mic told us to start heading over to our battle centers, we both locked eyes and the fear he had was delicious, like prey that managed to evade a predator running into the same predator. Soon as I was outside I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"what the hell are you doing here" Mic growled in pain.

Innocently I said, "whatever do you mean I am but a humble middle schooler"

Mic gave me the death glare and said, "don't bullshit me, I recognize that skull with a blindfold sigil anywhere, you're the guy who attacked us and vanished 10 months ago"

Guess it was to be expected, I was carrying Tartarus as a backpack so I guess he would notice the sigil.

Defeatedly I said, "come now Present Mic is that any way to greet an old friend?"

"you and I aren't friends, you may not have permanently destroyed my vocal chords, but that ice attack froze them enough to require I need special equipment just to speak, now I will ask you again what are you doing here?", The look in Mic's eyes was one of both pain and hatred.

I looked down at Mic and said, "isn't it obvious I am here to become a hero like everyone else".

Mic rolled his eyes and said, "If that was the case you wouldn't have killed all those other heroes and police, and left Endeavor with one eye"

I sighed, guess there really was no way of getting around this, "look I'll make this plain and simple All Might gave me an ultimatum that day either I become a hero or else I'll have to live my entire life on the run, and quite frankly I don't want to do that so this was the only option"

Mic stared at me and said, "so you are the fifth student to be accepted into UA based on Recommendations… I had figured it was someone of great power but I never expected it to be the assassin responsible for the pain I'm in…get out of my sight and just know if you try anything I will not hesitate to turn you in myself"

I pushed away Mic's hand and said, "noted".

The walk over to battle center F gave me time to not only formulate a strategy on how to kill as many robots as possible taking into consideration how each of the robots function but it also gave me a chance to admire just how big the campus was truly, this small battle center could quite possibly fit an entire community inside it and yet it was just for students to destroy… just how the ever loving hell does this school fund all of this.

With a smirk I took off my school uniform and attached Tartarus to my back and shouted, "Tartarus activate!" letting the whole suit come to life.

With a low growl Tartarus said, "Tartarus online!"

As soon as Tartarus was activated I felt all eyes on me which fueled me to show off.

"woah, that is beyond cool!" a voice called out.

I looked around till I focused on a short black girl with long black hair tied into a ponytail and wearing a black dress covered by a violet leather jacket, a pair of black tights, and black leather boots. Honestly she was really short like she barely made it up to my chest, but then again I am 6 ft 8 so I guess that means she possibly normal sized.

I rolled my eyes and said, "sooo why is a child here…I thought this was for high schoolers"

The (little?) girl looked up at me with an angry look and said, "you asshole I am a high schooler you're just really tall!".

I snickered and said, "so whats your name anyways short stack?"

The girl punched me and said, "my name Is Gabby, Gabby Olson, what's your name metal man"

I was still getting used to having a normal name…being called 9292 really rubbed off on me.

"Just call me Jango…Jango Arkino" I said.

The girl smiled and said, "well I am Gabby Olson AND GOD DAMN IT THAT HURT"

Gabby grabbed her hand which was red from when she hit Tartarus.

I rolled my eyes and looked down to see a kid with purple balls on his head sneaking up on gabby, with rather perverted eyes.

"hey is that kid with you?" I asked pointing at the kid.

Gabby looked behind her to see the small kid and started to blush before punting the small kid like a football.

"damn…nice kick short stack" I whistled as I watched the small kid slam into the gate to battle center F.

Gabby nodded and said, "god whoever that kid was he was quite the pervert".

I smirked and suddenly the gates opened up and our test began.

I said fairwell to Gabby and used the hookshot on Tartarus to get to the rooftops of the buildings to get a vantage point and use my sniper rifle to take down as many as I could.

I took a deep breath and plugged in the scope to Tartarus's helmet and said, "Tartarus I need you to pinpoint the positions of all known Perseus, Ajax, Aegis, and Achilles units through out this entire area".

Tartarus growled to life and said, "pinpointing all Locations".

Soon all of them started to show up red and with a cackle I started to snipe them out muttering, "Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me." As I took each shot.

Soon I had used every bullet I had brought and had racked up 28 points.

However as soon as I used every bullet I had to rely on my quirk. I smashed a nearby wall and turned it into two jagged swords and jumped down to join the fight.

Suddenly I hear Mic shouted, "5 minutes left dolls!"

With a cackle I started to slice through ever robot I could find racking up more points.

I was just about to slice through a one-point Ajax unit when it suddenly started to implode, followed by a voice shouting, "take this mental crush!".

I looked to see Gabby holding out her hand as if crushing something in her hand.

I growled and instinctively threw a blade at her grazing her face.

"watch where your throwing things dumbass!" I shouted.

Gabby dodged and used her quirk to keep the blade in the air and redirected it at me.

"what the hell was that about Jango!" Gabby shouted.

"you could have warned me not to attack that robot I could have been trapped in it" I yelled getting closer to her grabbing a part of the Ajax and turning it into a kopis.

Gabby then calmed down and said, "look we shouldn't be fighting we need to actually focus on getting through this…together".

I hated to admit it but she was right, suddenly the ground started to shake.

"warning, Achilles unit approaching!" Tartarus sounded off.

I looked behind me to see the giant unit. It seems the U.A bastards remade Achilles, changing the paintjob from black to a dark green and removing the rocket launchers on the back.

Gabby looked at me with fear in her eyes and said, "my quirk can't destroy something that big! We need to run!"

I smirked and said, "if you want to run go right ahead, I know how to take it down" before running around to the back of Achilles and with a flick of my wrists I retraced my arm blades and then activated my blade launcher and shot out hundreds of small daggers to make some steps and with a grin I watched as the boy with purple balls for hair tried to run underneath Achilles to avoid him.

I saw my window of opportunity and used the boys hair as a launch pad to get myself up to the daggers where I climbed them all the way up to the tiny switch on the back of the Achilles.

Meanwhile the boy started yelling, "ow watch it metal man, not all of us have badass metal armor, one day I'll be a hero all the girls will love and I'll have a harem and you'll be begging for forgiveness!"

"Doctor Minerva did enjoy to add small switches to everything…including Tartarus" I sighed.

Tartarus did have a switch at one point but I had it removed, thank god. With a simple flick of a switch the entire robot shut off sending it forward. I looked and realized it was going to fall on hundreds of people. Luckily Gabby pushed it back and into me.

I smirked, this was my time to show off what mayubi was capable of. I gripped Mayubi with killer intent, sending all of my energy through it, strangely enough it felt like Mayubi was meant for this.

As if under a trance I shouted, "Ereshkigal tempest style, burning petals!".

I then quickly unsheathed it and leapt at the robot slashing it zig zag form. I felt the power behind Miyabi, as if it was a raging beast that on command has just been released. I opened my eyes and saw I was high up in the air, and Achilles was still falling back, I had to finished it off. Seeing Miyabi glowing red with fire I did a spin and slammed Miyabi downwards as if I were a spinning sawblade, finishing off the attack by quickly sheathing miyabi.

I took a deep breath as Achilles exploded behind me.

Mic then shouted, "and that's time please exit Battle ground F and await for your letters!".

Gabby then ran up to me and said, "woooooah that was so cool you were like fwah shuhaha and the robot was like, bang bang bittz crush, and then you broke out that cool sword style and completely annihilated it!" while making all kinds of rather amusing gestures.

I smirked and just walked off, I had done my task now time to head back.

It seems Gabby was…persistent in trying to talk to me as she followed me all the way out of UA, "Hey don't ignore me Jango, I won't stop trying to talk you till you at least notice me!".

I rolled my eyes and said, "okay, fine I'll talk to you, what do you want?"

Gabby then pulled out her phone and said, "I want your phone number! You seem like such a great guy I just have to keep in contact with you!".

I realized I didn't even have a phone number, hell not even a cell phone. How was I supposed to be undercover if I didn't even have that. Luckily Tartarus came in clutch making a phone number that will directly send any text messages or phone calls to my HUD.

I smiled and Gave Gabby my number before throwing down a smoke tear bomb to get away from her.

"Hey that's no way to treat a new friend! Oh well see you during classes best buddy!" Gabby said while coughing.

As soon as I got to Olympus I started to do some research on Miyabi. What happened during that entrance exam was unusual especially for a sword like Mayubi. With all the power It felt like I could take on any hero, yet as I scrolled through every Dark Legion file I couldn't find anything relating to Mayubi…it was like this katana never existed in the database. Hell, the only mentions to any Katana was one wielded by the original founder of the Shie Hassaikai, a man known as Ronin Haruto Chisaki. His blade, named Nobunaga was what killed the original founder of the Dark Legion Program, Odysseus Hanamura.

Strange, maybe if I get in contact with its current leader, that little putz Kai Chisaki, maybe they can tell me if Miyabi is in fact Nobunaga or if there is some relationship between the two.

However, that will have to wait as suddenly the doorbell rang. If it was Gabby im letting the damn Point defense turrets turn her into god damn Swiss cheese.

As I walked outside I saw it was just the mailman delivering letters.

"are you 9292?" the confused guy said.

"that would be me" I said.

The man handed a UA letter and with a smirk, I took it and walked back inside and opened it up to see it was a hologram of All Might.

All Might let out a laugh and said, "Jango Arkino… the son of one of the heroes I considered a mentor, I burdened me greatly when I saw you that day ten months ago, the hatred in your eyes and the will to kill, your father would be crying, however after my ultimatum I am sure he is up there happy, I welcome you to UA high! Before I get into anything else I just want to say a couple things, we have included a parking pass in this envelope so that you can park your car on campus, and also you will be going to therapy every Thursday in order to get rid of any brainwashing the Dark Legion did to you, and also you will have someone assigned to you almost like a trainer in order to make you a better human being, your "trainer" is a girl named Mina Ashido, her bubbly personality should mellow you out".

A picture then popped up of a pink girl with even pinker hair and black eyes. She looked around my age so at least it won't be awkward for me. The thought of going to therapy though was…well it was not fun, I wondered if I could get out of it by lying, the Dark Legion did teach me how to lie.

Sadly All Might answered this, "you will not be able to lie into getting out of it, we will be monitoring you during the therapy at all times so there is no way you can lie your way out of this, once again I welcome you, Son of the Immortal Dageshi to UA!".
