CHAPTER 5 Bakugou's startline

NO NEED FOR A FUNNY INTRO TODAY ID RATHER GET STRAIGHT INTO IT.

After the fight we were all brought together to talk about the results.

With a smile still on his face, All Might said, "well despite the results the MVP of this exercise is Young Iida!"

This surprised everyone except for me and Ms Big boobed-black-haired-know-it-all-Mcfunbags.

The frog girl then said, "shouldn't it be one of the heroes instead, since they're the winners?"

All Might Smirked and said, "Mm! Valid question. Why didn't I choose one of those two?"

He then raised his hand and shouted, "who has a guess?"

Ms Big boobed-black-haired-know-it-all-Mcfunbags raised her hand and said, "Sir! I can tell you why! Iida embraced this challenge, He was the only one who truly adapted to his assigned role, I'll explain, Bakugou's Judgment was clouded by a personal grudge against Midoriya, As you pointed out earlier launching a Large-scale attack indoors was a foolish move, it could have been disastrous. Similarly, Midoriya's plan was also poorly thought out, considering the amount of damage that he received, He rendered himself helpless. Not Smart. As for Uraraka…she let her guard down mid-battle, and her final attack was far too reckless given the hypothetical stakes, if she'd treated the fake weapon as though it were real she never would've risked using such an imprecise move. Iida was fully prepared for his opponent's arrival, he had a strategy and never lost sight of his mission to protect the dummy weapon even if he was foiled in the end"

I looked over at Iida and was sure he had grown a couple inches while his ego probably soared through the roofs.

Ms Big boobed-black-haired-know-it-all-Mcfunbags. Then concluded by saying, "Technically, the hero team won, yes, but they took advantage of the fact that this was training, they didn't respect the spirit of the trial"

Woah. Funbags really did her homework on being a tacticians, though…she seems familiar.

All Might looked like he was at a loss for words before finally saying, "Y-yes well, you overlooked a few things, young Iida could have relaxed a little bit in the exercise, but otherwise you nailed it!"

Smugly Ms Big boobed-black-haired-know-it-all-Mcfunbags said, "One should always start with the basics and devote themselves wholeheartedly to learning, that's the only real way to become a top hero"

Mic then chimed in and said, "Momo Yaoyorozu, One of the four students admitted to the hero course based on recommendations"

So that's how I recognized her! I kidnapped and tortured one of her family members as part of my Dark Legion Training, I thought she looked familiar, though im still calling her Ms Big boobed-black-haired-know-it-all-Mcfunbags.

The rest of the fights after Bakugou's and Midiroya's were rather lack luster, sure there were some interesting ones such as Todoroki's where he froze the villains team in their tracks, but the rest were boring as hell. I was excited for my fight because Bakugou would be going in with all kinds of emotional baggage.

Once All Might confirmed Bakugou was ready it was time for me to go up against Bakugou and Gabby. This was going to be child's play for me since these kind of close quarters scenarios were my bread and butter, especially since I'll be playing the part of the infiltrator. I took a deep breath in looking at the building and decided the best course of action would be to eliminate Gabby before she could use her quirk against me, then Bakugou if he didn't go after me first. Using my jetpack, I got up to the top of a building across from the one Gabby was holed up in, and then deployed the Will of Leonidas.

"okay you short bitch let's see where your hiding" I cackled while activating my rifles thermal scope.

The entire building was then lit up like a Christmas tree, including Gabby and Bakugou's heat signatures, unfortunately I couldn't see the weapon, so I had to guess it was in the room with them.

"peekaboo" I said while lining up my shot, and clicking off the safety.

I then fired a round straight into the building, "I see you".

The bullet released a tear gas into the room causing Gabby to flee from the room and Bakugou…well he looked like he was throwing a tantrum. I then made my move breaching my way into the compound and switched the will of Leonidas into its assault rifle mode. I knew this would a tough fight and I had to make sure not to let Gabby's quirk get a hold of me, if it did I was screwed. Bakugou though…I wasn't really worried about, Tartarus was designed to deal with intense firepower so if it came down to it, I'll be safe against his attacks.

I smirked and pulled out a grappling gun and slammed right in through the window, but to my shock the bomb wasn't here.

"damn it, they set up a decoy!" I growled clicking Will of Leonidas into assault rifle form.

"floor 1 secured moving on to floor two" I muttered while moving up the stairs.

I had no idea where she was the floor layout was more complex then I originally anticipated.

"Tartarus activate MiniMap, configure to release a constant Echolocation pulse, any movements that seem to organic mark on the Hud as a hostile" I muttered before throwing a flashbang into the doorway.

Tartarus then went red in my head and said, "Alert, movement detected 5 kilometers ahead" while outlining Gabby's movement.

"wait…that's gabby where's…." I muttered.

"Caught you off-guard didn't I you bastard!" Bakugou shouted while flanking me.

I immediately dodged out of the way of his blast and holstered The Will Of Leonidas, guns wont work in this close of an encounter.

With a snicker I pulled out a Damascus rod and turned it into two Kukri knives

Suddenly everything desaturated as Mic shouted, "Jango Arkino better known by his dark legion ID number, 9292 His Quirk Bladromancy, he can turn anything or anyone into a blade and depending on the material he can make many less-durable blades or single extremely durable blades, and if it so happens to be part of a hero's costume the blade takes on those properties of its user making for some deadly weapons!"

Thanks for the preview Mic, and he was right I just grabbed pure Damascus steel and made two kukri knives, which meant extremely durable weapons. However, that also means I have to get in close in order to do any damage, so I had to be on my guard, his rage was something not to be messed with.

Bakugou let out an evil cackle and said, "you don't seem as strong as that bastard Deku let's see just how dangerous you are!" and charged at me.

I rushed to meet him and remembered my training. As he reached out his hand to fire a shot in his face I ducked under his hand flipping my grip on both daggers so that the blades were facing down and stabbed one of them right through his arm pulling him in close, I stabbed him with the other blade 5 times in the chest and then judo flipping him over me and breaking his arms

"stay down if you know what's good for you" I smirked.

Bakugou looked at me with a wild hatred in his eyes. I realized if I didn't put him down now he'd just end up a problem in the future so I turned around and threw 12 daggers at him which exploded and knocked him out.

As he laid their unconscious I remembered one of the situations Grim Strider put me in and as if in a trance I walked over to Bakugou to make sure he was truly incapacitated and grabbed his head and slammed it back into the ground knocking him out. I then stabbed him in the arm and tore out part of his hair till he had a bald spot. This was to truly seal the deal that he wouldn't try to come back.

"Tartarus grab a sample of his blood and save it to the archives, this could make for something useful in the future" I muttered while turning the Damascus kukri knives back into the Damascus rod and sheathing it into my holster.

"target 1 down, moving on to primary objective" I muttered as I picked up bakugou's comms.

On the other end gabby said, "Bakugou what the hell is going on, is jango down?"

I mimicked bakugou's speech pattern and voice with the aid of Tartarus and said, "shut up you crazy bitch, I took care of Jango, he'll be up in a couple minutes so be ready, as for me im outta here he's your problem now"

Gabby seemed surprised, "what, y-your leaving me with him! BakuBabe we're supposed to be working as a team!"

"I never wanted to work with you as a team" I growled and then cut off the comms.

I could hear Gabby panicking and used that opportunity to throw a flashbang into the room she was in. however it never went off. When I peeked around the corner it was stuck in midair.

"damn telekinetic type!" I shouted as I turned the two kukri daggers into a bunch of smaller throwing daggers and threw them into the room.

"you didn't think we planned for this Jango!" Gabby shouted as she revealed herself.

As she revealed herself I realized I was frozen in place, I couldn't move at all.

"you like that, my quirk allows me to control anything with my mind, I don't even need to be close to you in order to attack you" Gabby smirked.

"Tartarus what weapons aren't restricted" I muttered.

Tartarus then showed me the chimera launcher wasn't restricted and as gabby approached me to finish the job I lined up the shot.

"eat shit bitch" I muttered.

Gabby raised an eyebrow and said, "pardon?"

The small flap on my armor opened up and I shouted, "eat shit bitch!" before the chimera launched and hit her straight in the head, releasing me and my daggers which pinned her to the wall.

Gabby growled and said, "gah foolish hero your no match for a true villain!" before using her quirk to fling rocks at me.

I smirked and shouted, "let's see you freeze fire!" before activating my flamethrowers and trying to burn her ass.

Fleeing behind a pillar gabby laughed nervously and said, "you have more weapons on you then I thought, well fuck!"

I smirked and threw a grenade behind the pillar.

"oh shit!" gabby howled before the grenade detonated making her dizzy.

"concussion grenades, perfect for dealing with telekinetic types like you" I smirked and walked up to her.

Over the comms I heard All Might shout, "Jango don't even think of it!"

"relax All Might I'm only testing her!" I cackled while pulling out the will of Leonidas and configuring it for a shotgun mode.

While gabby was still disorientated I charged at her firing slug after slug at her till I ran out, when that happened I grabbed the shotgun by the barrel and slammed the butt of it into her face. I then pulled out the wrap All Might gave me to tie up the villains and started to strangle Gabby. Gabby tried to slam her elbow into my gut but ended up hurting her elbows.

"grrr what the fuck kind of training is this, I've never fought against someone like you" Gabby growled as she tried to breath.

"your dealing with someone who is as well trained as a Marine Raider, you never stood a chance" before hitting her on the head to finally knock her out.

Suddenly I heard Bakugou shout, "get away from her!".

"damn it when will you go down!" I growled

The moment I turned around I saw he was about to pull the pin on his arm I immediately shouted, "Tartarus, full armor lock up now!"

I felt compressed as if my entire body had turned into a statue but I was safe, while Bakugou was fatigues, and missing some of his hair.

"Tartarus, status report" I muttered.

Tartarus glitched out a bit before saying, "armor integrity at 49% I suggest using an Endeavor, bakugou, and Kamui Woods quirk blade to finish this fight"

I smirked and stood up much to Bakugou's horror, "h-how is this possible, you should have been injured beyond repair! Just what the hell are you!"

I rolled my eyes and let my chest open up to reveal my quirk blades.

All Might shouted, "Jango don't you dare!"

I ignored him and pulled out endeavor's, bakugou's and Kamui Woods quirk blades and infused them into my arms.

I grinned evilly under my helmet and said, "I am death Katsuki Bakugou, and this is my Prominence Lacquered burning chain explosive prison!"

Roots made of fire shot out from my hand and imprisoned Bakugou just before exploding ending the match with him unconscious.

"check mate" I shouted as I tore out the Quirk blades and watched them shatter.

After the match All Might called us all in and said, "so I will admit, this was a rather onesided fight, Jango clearly had the advantage for some reason, maybe it was his training method"

Ms Big boobed-black-haired-know-it-all-Mcfunbags….nah im calling her Yamomo from now on, said "Jango had and used all the fundamentals of a professional swat team, he checked his corners, checked for flanks, and limited his presences using everything, this included his flash bangs, his rifle, his quirk as well as his armor…what was strange though was how he finished off Bakugou, if I remember correctly his Quirk is Bladromancy, and yet he was using a wood based quirk, and explosive quirk, as well as an elemental quirk, which I am still questioning but I will not go more in depth into because that seems like it is up to Jango to explain, but all in all he took advantage of his surroundings"

I smirked, "oh All Might, do I still have to go to Therapy today?"

All Might shook his head, "apparently Nezu and Nighteye are still in shock over yesterday so you are excused from it today".

We then headed back to the entrance of the training ground to end the class.

With a smile on his face All Might said, "That's a wrap Super work you really stepped up to the plate, and we didn't have any major injuries, except for Midoriya, you should be proud! Excellent first day of training, all around!"

The frog girl whose name I found out its tsuyu asui smiled and said, "it's nice to hear some encouraging words after our homeroom class"

Instantly I could feel Aizawa's cold gaze stare down at me, I think he still hates me…since I was Hitomi's son.

Asui sighed and said, "Mr Aizawa was kind of a buzzkill"

We all just silently agreed.

Standing like a giant wacky inflatable arm flailing tube man…or a total diva, All Might laughed and said, "I'm happy to bring such staggering positivity to my alma mater! That's all folks, I should go and check on young Midoriya's progress! Now watch how a pro exits. Like he's got somewhere to be!"

All Might then started to run away with a burst of speed.

Afterwards we headed back to class, which ended up being boring as hell, Math with ectoplasm…watching him teach was rather enjoyable because he was so into it that I could have sworn he was a proper math teacher.

The rest of the day went by fast and soon, class was over, when finally, Midoriya came back to class. Everyone rushed over to talk to him while I noticed Gabby ran away, mainly to go after Bakugou who had left early.

"heh welcome back Midoriya" I smirked.

Midiroya looked over at me and said, "ahh Jango, how did your fight go!"

Everyone just grimaced at me. I guess the use of the quirk blades were…a sore topic hell All Might and Aizawa both scolded me for using them but let me off with a warning.

"I would say it was an absolute victory for me" I said smugly.

Midoriya then started to talk to Ochako who ran out with Kaminari to grab some booklets and then suddenly ran out after Bakugou who had walked out after class. I walked with the others to watch from the windows as a talk between Midoriya and Bakugou. Suddenly All Might rushed in and probably said some cheese hero speech to make everything better.

Mina chimed in saying, "Huh I wonder what that was all about"

Pumping her fists Uraraka said, "the fated battle between rivals"

I mean, she isn't wrong!

Asui then said, "whatever Midoriya was saying, it looked like Bakugou really wanted to punch him"

Uraraka then looked even more pumped and said, "Childhood friends turned enemies"

Again, she isn't wrong!
