At school, Kim meets a handsome boy named Josh Mankey in the hallway, a selfish girl named Bonnie Rockwaller, tells him to never talk to her because she's new and they can't be late for class, this upsets Kim.
In class, James Harvey announces that the asbestos removal from the gym is taking longer than planned. So they have to push back the Halloween dance by a couple of months. They all groan and Bonnie raises her hand and tells everyone her parents finished the new boathouse so she's sure has no problem having a party at her place. They all applaud slowly.
Mr. Harvey finally announces a new student and asks Kim to come on up and introduce herself. While Mr. is talking, she spots Danny as George Washington in a picture of Mount Rushmore and he winks at her. So Kimberly, why don't you tell us something special about yourself? Mr. Harvey asked. Um, well, it's Kim actually. Bonnie meows and they all laugh. Kim continues, and, um, I guess I just moved here with my dad from Santa Fe. And uh, Friendship seems like a pretty friendly place. One of the kids makes a snoring sound.
While Kim talks, Danny wrongly ties everyone's shoes to teach them a lesson. The bell rings and everyone trips.
