Chapter 7: Just do your best Iida

BEFORE THE CHAPTER STARTS

BAKUGOU: DAMN IT WHY DID THE SHARP GUY GET HIS OWN BADASS STORY! I WANT ONE

JANGO: BECAUSE I AM THE MAIN CHARACTER IN THIS FANFIC BAKUBITCH!

BAKUGOU: YOUR DEAD MEAT ONE OF THESE DAYS BASTARD!

The next day I woke up earlier the next day to see that everyone had already left, guess they wanted to head home to get ready for classes. Damn I was so eager to make them some pancakes but oh well.

"I don't care if I am going to prison, my heart has regained hope…my nephew is alive, our bloodline hasn't ended…and you have made your mother and father proud by sparing me" Atalanta voice echoed in my mind.

I wasn't truly sure if I made them proud…I may have sparred her but I have slaughtered hundreds in past so I wasn't too sure if I was worthy of the title. That's when I noticed Athena was on the tv.

"oi Athena what the hell are you doing?" I asked.

Athena smiled and said, "integrating myself into the house, mainly to help you out but also work on upgrading the base Tartarus unit with new additions such as upgrades and new metal plating, I've also taken the liberty of linking myself to Dark Charon to help with its deployment as well, if you could link me to your phone so I may better serve you and also help deploy your equipment that would be beneficial"

Awesome that's going to come in handy.

I smirked and linked up my new phone with Athena and once that was ready I started my morning commute to school. Luckily Aizawa returned Dark Charon to me so at least I can drive to school today. While on the way I was about to, "accidentally" run over Mineta when some asshat jumped out of the air and slammed their fist into my car stopping me from running him over. As soon as the airbags were popped I got out of my car pissed off to see it was All Might who stopped my car.

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME ALL MIGHT!" I growled as I got out of my car to assess the damages to the front.

"ahh young Jango, on your way to school?" All Might chuckled.

I pulled out my browning high power and started to shoot at him knowing the bullets wouldn't do much, "damn right I am you owe me for my car damn it!"

All Might started to smoke and I realized that was the signal that he was losing steam,

"get in, ill drive us close to UA" I said opening the door.

"no, no, no there are press swarming the school we need to be discreet, plus I owe you for the car" All Might said while waving his hands.

Suddenly I heard Gabby say, "I can easily take out the dents"

We both turned around to see her walking alone in her school uniform.

I nodded my head and said, "lets go" before we all piled in, just as Gabby used her Quirk to reverse the dents in my car

"Athena reconfigure the car to accommodate 4 people" I stuttered while squished against Gabby.

Athena responded and using the liquid metal Alloys hidden in Dark Charon the entire car changed to accommodate us all while still using stylish…and by accommodate us all I mean the trunk was able to hide All Might as he turned into his weakened form surprising Gabby.

"wait so that's what All Might truly looks like!" gabby said in horror.

I nodded my head and we started to drive off to UA.

As we drove Gabby looked around and said, "sooo this is the car Aizawa stole…neat"

I chuckled and said, "it was a gift from my parents before they died"

I didn't want to tell her about the legion hell…I was actually afraid what she would do if she found out.

"awesome and the A.I Athena I think her name was, she helps out as well?" Gabby asked curiously.

I nodded my head and turned on the radio

A feminine voice then said, "in other news the hero crusher Atalanta the fierce was recently brought in by a rather shocking person!"

Her male cohost chimed in saying, "that's right Diane, we have just learned that the once noble Vigilante Atalanta the great, the sister to the Greek number 1 hero the immortal Dageshi, was brought into custody by a warrior named Jango Arkino, who brought her in all on his own"

Diane laughed a bit and said, "the police said that Jango's vigilantism will be looked at more as a bounty hunter in this situation and will not be tried as a criminal, we have tried to find Mr. Arkino for any words but we cant even get close to his residence"

Gabby gave me a surprised look and said, "you, took down a class C vigilante villain! Holy shit Jango your good!"

Great…just fucking great. Everyone knew about me taking down a villain but in my heart I knew this would be a black mark on Atalanta as she was a member of my family…a once noble girl who broke because of the death of those closest to her, and I was the only one who knew. This also meant the Media may start coming after me a lot more on this so I may have to start wearing a disguise when I fight, maybe ill just wear my hero costume…

As soon as we made it to the schools front gate we was hounded by reporters who swarmed Dark Charon.

One of the reporters managed to use her quirk to force the window down and said, "hey kid you go to school here right, what can you tell me about All Might, hold up aren't you the kid who turned in that sociopath Atalanta the fierce?"

When they called my Auntie a sociopath I was about ready to commit murder, but I had to keep calm.

I looked at Gabby and said, "shall I deal with them?"

Gabby nodded and I pulled out a Glock 1911 and said, "unless you want to be a blood stain get the hell away from my car right now and clear a path for me or else I'm running your asses over".

The lady understood and cleared me a path, which I didn't realize wasn't fully cleared as I ended up running over Mineta as he walked through the gate.

"did I hit a speed bump?" I said as I parked inside the campus.

Gabby shrugged as we got out and said, "thanks for the lift Jango"

"hey it was the least I could do considering you not only made my Sunday night less boring but you also used your Quirk to get the dent out of the hood of my car" I laughed.

I then went over to the trunk and opened it up to reveal All Might in his weakened form.

"here you go big A safe and sound" I laughed.

All Might got out and said, "Gabby you go on ahead I want to have a quick chat with young Jango here about something"

Gabby nodded and rushed off to class.

"I heard about what you did to Atalanta…why the hell are the police vouching for you, that was a clear act of Vigilantism and should be punished!" All Might said giving me a stern look.

I pulled out my assassins license, "I am a licensed assassin, anyone I kill or bring it, as long as that person has a bounty, is my quarry and as such the moment I bring them in I am not doing anything wrong so the law cant touch me"

All Might grabbed the licenses and muttered, "damn you Abdul when will you stop turning heroes into assassins and bounty hunters, I thought Snipes was good enough for you".

I guess All Might and Abdul had history but I wouldn't pry.

All Might handed me back my license and said, "so…your just going to give up on being a hero, is that it?" while looking annoyed

I shook my head and said, "I'm not giving up on being a hero All Might…I'm just questioning my life, because I don't feel worthy to be a hero, but with my morals…I don't feel like id be a good assassin either"

All Might looked at me and smiled, "I guess I was right about you…there is hope for you"

I hope your right All Might because right now I feel like I'm questioning my existence every day.

Soon I met up with Mina and walked with her and Gabby to class.

As soon as Homeroom started with Aizawa he looked at all of us and said, "decent work on yesterday's combat training, you guys, I saw the video feeds and went over each of your team's results".

Mr Aizawa first turned to Bakugou and said, "Bakugou, your talented so don't sulk like a child about your two losses okay?"

Bakugou grunted and said, "yeah whatever".

Aizawa then turned to Midoriya who looked like he wanted to crawl away and die, "Midoriya, I see the only way you won the match was by messing up your arm again, Work harder, and don't give me the excuse that you don't have control over your Quirk, that line's already getting old"

Midoriya looked like he was about to cry but he stayed strong,

Aizawa finished with him by saying, "You cant keep breaking your body while training here But your quirk will be really useful if you can get a handle on it, so show a little urgency, huh?"

Midiroya looked like he was about to start glowing when Aizawa said that.

Aizawa then turned to me, "last but not least Jango, your battle with Gabby and Bakugou was a riot for the staff to watch, you showed skill no normal hero is trained in, military tactics as well as calm attitude while going up against two opponents, the only issue is that you used Quirk Blades when we specifically said not, so from now on, you can only use them during exercises here on campus when given permission by a faculty member got it?"

I nodded my head and said, "affirmative"

Aizawa then turned to the entire class and said, "lets get down to business, our first task will decide your future"

Is it another Quirk test, I wondered. Nah it couldn't be, not so soon after the combat training test.

Aizawa then said, "you all need to pick a class representative".

Oh I see…normal school stuff…this should be interesting to say the least.

Suddenly the classroom erupted into a whole lot of yelling

"Pick me, guys! I wanna be class rep!" Kirishima shouted.

Kaminari then said, "Ill take it" followed up by Jirou commenting saying, "yeah, you're gonna need me."

Aoyama went full…weirdo and said, "someone with style would be best!"

Mina was fully pumped and said, "I'm, Like, totally the right pick!"

Heh, leave it to pinky to make things fun.

It was entire chaos with everyone raising their hands wanting to be Class rep.

Finally, Iida chimed in and said, "silence, everyone, please!"

That seemed to get everyone's attention

Iida continued, "the class representative's duty is to lead others that's not something just anyone can do, you must first have the trust of every student in the classroom, therefore the most logical way to fill this position Is democratically, we will hold an election to choose our leader"

I think Iida was…well he must have been influenced way to much by that government lecture old Snipes was teaching because this sounded like the American system of government AND YET LOOKING AT IIDA IT WAS OBVIOUS HE WANTED TO BE PICKED.

Kaminari chimed in saying, "is this really the best idea?"

Asui put her finger to her mouth and said, "we've only known each other a few days, how do we know who we can trust?"

Gabby leaned in and whispered, "well…I know its obvious we cant trust Bakugou or Mineta…they'll make horrid leaders"

I nodded and said, "besides everyone'll just vote for themselves"

Iida nodded and said, "most people will, but that means whoever does receive multiple votes must truly be the most suitable person for the job"

Iida then turned his attention to Professor Aizawa who had already gone into full trash panda hobo mode and said, "it's the best way, right sir?".

Aizawa groaned and said, "do what you want, just decide before my nap's over"

Iida bowed and said, "thank you for your trust"

I had to think about it calm and rationally, out of all the students, minus Bakugou, Mineta or myself, who would make a good class rep…well I would have to go with Yamomo because of her calm calculative personality…she'd make a wonderful class rep. Casting my vote in I realized everyone most likely voted for themselves but oh well.

Surprisingly though I got the most votes, 8 votes towards me, 3 votes for Midoriya, and 2 votes for Yamomo, making me the class rep which surprised even me!

With a surprised tone Midoriya shouted, "how did I get three votes!?"

Bakugou stood up in hatred and said, "okay, you idiots who voted for Jango and Deku!"

Sero smugly said, "what did you honestly think anyone was gonna vote for you?"

Gabby chuckled and said, "guess that means your head of the class jango"

"uuughhh I don't want this bullshit!" I groaned.

I just wanted to get on with classes and actually figure out if I want to truly remain a hero, not deal with this.

"my first order of business is dropping out, making Midoriya my successor and naming Yamomo vice representative, because honestly its too much additional work for me" I sighed.

Yamomo jumped up and said, "yaay"

After class it was finally time for lunch however I didn't want to have it in the cafeteria, nah I decided to head up to the roof and relax with some instant soba I found at the markets while I was shopping for supplies for beef stroganoff.

"hey mind if I join you?" Gabby said following me.

"sure, why not" I smiled.

I may have only knew gabby for a couple days but…I have to admit she was growing on me.

Once up on the roof we pulled out our lunches and started to eat.

"why'd you give your position as class rep to Midoriya?" Gabby asked curiously

"well I just thought the little tyke could use the confidence booster" I said looking over the side of building at the front gate swarmed by the press.

"he's gonna be relying on Yaoyorozu, you do realize that right" Gabby said looking over while pulling out a packet of cookies and offering me one.

"thank you, yeah I know that, the two of them will make an excellent team, Yamomo does most of the work Midoriya finally grows a pair" I chuckled.

Gabby sighed and said, "there is another thing I want to ask you, and you don't have to answer it if you don't want to"

I looked at Gabby and gave her my full attention.

"who are you, like really who are you" Gabby asked.

I tried to dodge the question by saying, "I'm just a normal student with a quirk"

Gabby slammed her fist and said, "damn it quit the bullshit Arkino, first you have that Tartarus unit of yours, then you have Dark Charon, As well as Olympus and also the fact you took down Atalanta, who the hell are you, really"

There really was no escaping this girl, with a deep sigh I said, "okay I guess there really isn't any avoiding it, my real name is Jango Satatori, the son of the immortal Dageshi and Hitomi the mistress of darkness, almost 7 years ago I was kidnapped by an organization called the Dark Legion Program along with 9,999 other kids around my age and forced into a sort of survival of the fittest experiment where we were forced to learn how to kill, infiltrate and collapse governments and heroes…I was the only survivor, after training my first assignment was to kill a hero who went sour on the dark legion…this was when All Might gave me his ultimatum, become a hero, or run away for the rest of your life"

This took Gabby back, the sheer amount of info was…well it was probably a lot to process since it meant that I was the son of a family thought to be dead.

Gabby looked at me surprised and said, "well, that…that's a lot to take in, does anyone else know?"

I nodded my head, "the faculty as well as Sir Nighteye"

Gabby leaned back and said, "that explains the therapy…however it doesn't explain why you are here…your training clashes with being a hero"

"I wanted to honor my parents…even if I'm not sure if I am truly honoring them" I sighed.

Suddenly the alarms sounded and I looked around. It wasn't an earthquake siren nor was it a fire alarm. That's when I realized it was probably a security alarm. Looking over the edge I saw hundreds of reporters at the front gate.

"looks like they somehow found a way through the barrier" I muttered.

"but how, that's a solid steel barrier!" Gabby said shockingly.

"everyone else is probably mobbing in the hallways" I said.

Gabby chuckled and said, "good thing we're up here"

Soon the police showed up and forcibly escorted the press off of campus ending our lunch break.

Once we were back to class, Midoriya and Yamomo walked to the front of the class and with a sigh Yamomo said, "Its time class rep lets begin"

Midoriya looked like he was about to freak out but holding onto his nerves he said, "Um, Okay so we need to figure out who the other class officers will be but first there's something I wanna say"

This seemed to get everyone's attention.

"I've thought a lot about this and I think Tenya Iida should be our class rep!" Midoriya shouted.

Okay now I was invested in why the hell tight ass should be the class rep.

With a smile on his face and his confidence boosted alit Midoriya said, "he was able to capture everyone's attention and get us in line. So I believe that he should be the one leading our class from now on!"

Kirishima chuckled and said, "yeah, you know what, if Midoriya vouches for him, I'm good, plus he was a big help and he totally manned up and took charge, right?"

Kaminari chuckled and said, "yep, oh did you notice he looked like the dude on the emergency exit signs when he was on the wall earlier?"

Aizawa finally woke up from his nap and said, "this is a waste of time, I don't care who the rep is, just hurry up" before going back to sleep.

God that man is just a hobo.

Iida then stood up and said, "If Midoriya is nominating me for this job….then I humbly accept it, I pledge to carry out the duties of class rep to the best of my abilities"

I looked over to Yamomo who looked PISSED that she wasn't class rep.

After class I decided to go out to the roof and eat some Soba before going home it was a calm day, perfect soba weather plus I was still hungry. As soon as I heated up the water I got a call on my phone.

"hello?" I asked curiously.

"ahh Jango, just the man I was looking for, it's me Adbul!"

"ahh Abdul what can I do for you" I laughed.

Abdul laughed and said, "no, no, no its what I can do for you, I managed to find out about your fight with Atalanta, and would like to train you some more in the arts of stealth combat, I know the dark legion probably drilled it in from a mercenary point of view, but you'll be learning this from an assassin who knows his shit!"

I chuckled and said, "lets wait till the weekend when I actually have time, okay ill see you later Abdul" before hanging up.

As soon as I hung up I heard someone cough and when I turned around I was surrounded by Aizawa, Midnight, Nezu, Hound dog and Ectoplasm.

"wants some soba?" I asked offering a bowl, only for it to be slapped away by Hound dog.

"is this about what I did to Atalanta?" I asked curiously.

"how the hell did you destroy the barrier" Midnight looked at me.

"um say what?" I asked.

Hound dog then grabbed me by the collar and started to bark and rave at me like a mad man.

"I have no idea what the hell your saying!" I growled pushing hound dog away.

Principal Nezu then said, "we checked every security camera and couldn't find you anywhere, so we assume that you're the one who destroyed the UA barrier that let the press in"

"Principal Nezu, I was upstairs eating with Gabby, I didn't do jack shit!" I growled.

Aizawa, "we know you did Jango so fess up or else there will be consequences"

I growled again and said, "I was up here!"

Aizawa sighed and said, "if we find out your lying we will have you expelled and arrested" before they all left.

Fucking assholes.

The next day was an interesting one, getting out of bed I poured myself a cup of coffee, and also got ready for class, however I decided today would be a good day to walk to school, and what a good idea that was because when I went to get into Dark Charon which was parked outside I noticed a note where it should have been from Aizawa.

The note said I got tired while walking to school so I took Dark Charon, hope you don't mind. God damn it Aizawa stop stealing my car! On the way to school I ran into Mina who decided to tag along just to chat about classes, and if I have any crushes, I kept that info private and far away from this gossip hungry girl.

"come on Jango who do you have a crush on!" Mina said hitting my arms.

"its classified information" I chuckled as Mina continued to stare me down.

"what about Gabby?" she said smiling.

Payback time.

"she has a crush on Bakugou, hell it should be obvious that she loves him" I chuckled.

Mina squealed happily and said, "I fucking knew it!"

Soon we made it too school to see a bus parked right in front with the other members of Class 1A scattered everywhere.

The trash panda of teacher Aizawa then walked over to us and said, "Today's training will be a little different today, you'll have three instructors, Me, All Might, and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you"

Sero then raised his hand and said, "sir what kina training is this?"

Aizawa then pulled out a card and said, "rescue, you'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks stuff like that"

Well, this should be…interesting. how Ironic my armor was designed to deal with tanking damage, but now ill be putting it to use in rescues scenarios…I hope Tartarus can be reconfigured on the fly for this situation.

Aizawa groaned and said, "guys I'm not finished yet, what you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know you're excited about costumes but keep in mind that you haven't used to them and they might limit your abilities"

Aizawa then pressed a button activating releasing all of our costumes. I then went on my phone and connected to the Bluetooth device on Dark Charon and had it deploy to me.

Aizawa then said, "this special training's at an off-campus facility, so everyone but Jango will be taking a bus there, Jango you'll follow behind us in Dark Charon" before throwing me my car keys.

I Gave a thumbs up and grabbed the keys, "oh Aizawa, if I see you trying to take Dark Charon again I'll kill you".

Aizawa laughed and said, "I make no promises, the seats are nice and soft, and the fact Athena can drive the car means I can sleep inside of it while its driving".

Aizawa then dismissed the class and I activated Tartarus.

"Tartarus online" Tartarus growled to life.

Gabby then walked over to me and said, "Mind if I tag along and carpool with you?"

I nodded my head and we walked over to my car and started to drive over there, while watching Iida yell at the other members of class 1A. as soon as we were on the road I followed the bus all the way to a domed facility where we met a hero that I wasn't all too familiar with personally, however I did know how her quirk worked and how dangerous she was.

Thirteen.

Laughing a little Thirteen said, "Hello everyone, I've been waiting for you!".

Midoriya started to geek out on the marshmallow looking hero by saying, "it's the space Hero Thirteen, the chivalrous pro who's rescued a ton of people from disasters across the world!"

Uraraka seemed pumped as well saying, "woo-hoo, thirteen is one of my favorite heroes!"

Thirteen then led to the domed building saying, "I cant wait to show you what's inside".

As soon as we walked inside I was in awe of the huge building, multiple areas were spread out around the place ranging from smaller domes with red and blue paint, to a water area with a boat, a small city, and even some mountains. This was the ultimate simulation room.

Thirteen smiled and said, "a shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a windstorm, et cetera, I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters, I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, but you can call it USJ!".

Strange the initials of USJ sounds more like Universal Studios Japan.

Aizawa then walked up and said, "hey shouldn't All Might be here already, lemme guess he booked an interview instead?"

Thirteen then walked up and held three fingers while saying, "Actually its something else, apparently he did too much hero work on the way to school this morning and used up all his power, He's resting in the teacher's lounge"

Aizawa groaned while saying, "that man is the height of irresponsibility, the clock's ticking we should get started"

Thirteen smiled and we all started to head down the steps

Thirteen laughed a bit and said, "excellent before we get started I just want to say one thing, Well maybe two things. Possibly three four or five"

We get it thirteen!

Thirteen then held up her hand and said, "Listen carefully I'm sure you're aware that I have a powerful Quirk, it's called Black hole, and I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust"

It's a powerful quirk Unfortunately because…well I don't think thirteen has any blood, I haven't been able to make a quirk blade out of her power.

Midoriya nodded and said, "yeah you've used blackhole to save people from all kinds of disasters before, haven't you?"

Thirteen nodded and said, "that's true but my Quirk could also very easily be used to kill"

I rolled my eyes and activated my helmets Spotify just drown out her hero talk with house of the rising sun.

Suddenly warning sirens went of inside of Tartarus, "warning multiple villains are being warped into the facility, all power and comms have been jammed brace for ambush"

Looking around I noticed the lights slowly flicker and the fountain even stop for a moment. That's when I saw it, a warp gate I haven't seen for a long time. It was the villain with the warp quirk that tried to recruit me to the league of villains.

Mr Aizawa noticed this and said, "stay together and don't move, Jango if everything goes to shit you have my permission to use your quirk blades, Thirteen protect the students!"

I nodded my head and released the will of Leonidas off my back and got it into assault rifle configuration.

Kirishima confusingly said, "whoa what is that thing!"

From the warp gate came Tenko Shimura….and an army of thugs.

Kirishima then said, "wait has the training started already? I thought we were rescuing people"

Aizawa then shouted, "stay back this is real those are villains!"

That's when I saw it, the creature from the test tube I saw all those months ago. The creature that was practically the basis for the dark legion's Perfected Assassin project. A nomu
