Kento had more than enough. He knew there was no way he was going to get through to Sana this way. He turned his back on her and started to walk towards the front door.

Sana growled a bit as she glared at his back, "Where do you think you're going?" Her voice came off like ice.

Kento stopped but didn't look back, "Out. Do you have a problem?"

She walked towards Kento and past him as she then whirled around and faced him with an intense glare. "I do when my husband doesn't tell me where he's going."

"I don't have to tell you anything. Not where I'm going or when I'm getting back, or even who I may or may not meet. I'm not one of your subordinates." Kento shot back at her.

Sana raised a brow, "Really? On the contrary, you do. You gave your word to be a loyal and obedient husband. So it means you don't have free will."

Kento crossed his arms, "Give me a break! You can't stop me from leaving!"

A dangerous glint went off in her eyes, "I suppose you might be right. You could shove me out of the way and walk right out the door. But I don't think you will."

He uncrossed his arms and clenched his fists at his sides. "Then you don't know me very well, do you!"

Sana studied Kento's eyes. She could see his determination. He was going to challenge her authority at every turn. Sana pivoted to the side, "Fine, go out if you like."

Kento looked at her questionably. He was sure she was up to something. All Kento wanted to do was cool his temper and regain his thoughts. He couldn't do those things with her breathing down his neck. Kento walked past her and reached for the door. He stopped when he heard what she said.

"When you're away, I'll have a chat with your little Nephilim. Some girl time might do us some good." Sana said with a challenging tone. "I thought mentioning her would get your attention."

He spun around and narrowed his eyes at Sana, "Don't you dare go anywhere near her! You've done more than enough damage."

Sana laughed, "Oh please, Kento, you are delusional to believe you have any authority over me. I go where I want when I want, and there's nothing you can do. Plus, I'm not the only one who had brought pain to your dear Nephilim. Right, Kento?"

The orange Ronin closed his eyes tight as he looked away from her. He knew Sana could see the guilt he carried. Kento could tell she was enjoying this. But what else could he do? Could he risk Kaye if he went out and told his friends and parents everything? He couldn't allow Sana to keep her hold over him for much longer. He opened his eyes and glared at her. "Fine, I need somewhere to go to let out my frustrations and clear my head."

"Why not go to the third floor and work out there? You'll have more than enough room to cut loose. I'll even allow you to be up there all alone with no distractions." Sana offered as she continued to watch him.

"How generous," Kento shot back as he walked from the front door and to the stairs. He started to climb, and then when he was halfway up. He stopped and looked down. Furthermore, he saw she was gone. Frowning, he scanned the room, 'Where did she go? Does she still plan to go to Kaye's room? Damn! Sana, you better not hurt her, I swear. But what can I do? Sana never told me where she has Kaye. Sana must be keeping Kaye on the property somewhere.' Kento resumed his climb to the third-floor training room. Sana did deliver on one thing. He was alone. Kento walked onto the floor and saw he had more than enough room to tear things up.

Kaye turned her attention to the door as it whooshed open. She frowned as she started to rise to her feet. Kaye shifted into a fighting stance. She tried to be ready for whoever would come through the doorway.

"There's no need for you to go on the defensive," Ammon stated as he walked through and the door whooshed shut behind him. He stayed where he was and waited for Kaye to relax from her fighting stance. Ammon could see she didn't trust him. He couldn't blame her for how she felt. He'd more likely feel the same way if the roles reversed. "I see you finished your meal."

Kaye wasn't sure what to think of this kid. Yes, he was the son of the woman who took the man she loved from her. But she couldn't blame him for what his mother did. He did give her a meal and bandaged her wounds. Then again, in the past, people she ran up against played a similar card too. Kaye always had a hard time trusting people in the past when she was on her own. But ever since she met up with the Ronin Warriors, her life changed. They became friends. She found her brother, as well as the man she grew to love. Sure, having mystical armor had its drawbacks, but in the end, it was worth it. At least, she had to believe it did. Kaye closed her eyes and sighed as she felt her body relax while she pulled out of her fighting stance.

Ammon studied Kaye close. He felt a tinge of familiarity with her regarding not wanting to be a prisoner. He was one in his way, ever since his mother took his father's life and forced him to stay with her.

"Yes, I guess I should thank you. But I think you can understand how I feel right now." Kaye replied as she kept her eyes on him.

Ammon nodded, "I can."

"Then why not let me go? You can. So why don't you?"

Ammon frowned as he looked down and away, "Because my mother will punish me for allowing you to be free. I can't afford to have you leave." He whipped his head towards her, "Why can't you understand the position I'm in?"

Kaye blinked a bit in surprise but then frowned, "I think you're afraid of your mother. It isn't right for Sana to make you afraid of her. She should love you unconditionally."

"Of course I'm afraid of my mother! She is the leader of the Jade Thorns. The most ruthless clan of assassins you've ever faced. Sana has no room for love. A killer with her nature finds pleasure in giving nothing but pain and misery. She craves power. It is the only thing Sana cares for and nothing else." Ammon shot back as he felt his hands shake. He hid them behind his back, so Kaye wouldn't see.

Kaye could hear the years of anger and resentment towards Sana. His mother must have done something unforgivable towards him for Ammon to feel such a way to her. Kaye's eyes became soft as she felt her heart go out to him. "Ammon..."

He narrowed his eyes, "Don't! Don't even feel bad for me! I don't need your sympathy. You're still trying to get to me, so I'd free you. Well, it won't work! I won't fall for it!"

"Ammon, you said you and your mother know about what we can do. Our armors and everything. You know we can help you. But you have to help me get out of here, so we can get to the others..."

Ammon shook his head, "You can stop right there! You're not going to persuade me! So stop trying!" He shot back as he cut her off and whirled around as he made his way to where the automatic door was. He started to tap on his device, but the door opened, and there stood Sana.

Sana glanced at her son and then passed him at Kaye. "Is there a problem?"

"No, mother. I was leaving," Ammon replied as he moved out of the way and walked past her.

Sana waited until he was gone, and then she entered Kaye's room. The automatic door whooshed shut behind her. "So, you were trying to persuade my son to help you escape?"

Kaye shifted back a bit to keep her distance, "What do you want, Sana?"

Sana smirked in slight amusement, "Do I detect resentment in your tone? Why I do believe so." She tisked with a shake of her head. "Now, not the best move to make, my little Nephilim. There is no possible way you could have persuaded my son to help you escape."

Kaye narrowed her eyes, "Can't blame me for trying."

"No, I suppose no, but I am curious about something. I have a good idea about your answer, so I'll ask anyway. How did it feel taking a life for the very first time? To have your blood innocence taken away from you?" Sana taunted with a dangerous glint in her eyes. She could see Kaye trying to keep herself from reliving the moment. Laughing, she continued to watch. "Come now, you can tell me. How did you feel when you slashed her stomach? With the blood exploding all over you. The adrenaline racing through your body. The fear gripped your mind like a vice. Your soul as it started to tear apart."

Kaye felt pale. Her body started to shake a bit as the memory of the fight flashed through her head. Her opponent's words echoed in her mind. She squeezed her eyes shut, "Shut up!" Kaye felt tears brimming from her eyes.

A twisted laugh erupted from Sana's throat, "There's the fear and anger I was looking for, now your blood innocence is gone. You are a killer, or at least on the road to being one. It only takes one time to feel the thrill of taking a life. So, why not submit? It'll be so much easier so, don't fight it. You won't win. When your brother and friends find out you took a life, they won't look at you the same. I know Kento doesn't."

Sana's last statement made Kaye snap her eyes open. Kaye shook her head in disbelief, "No, you lie. Kento, he still loves me. He saw you forced the fight. He knows I was defending myself."

Sana looked at her in amusement, "How sure are you about Kento still loving you after seeing what you've done? Do you honestly believe the love you two share and the bond you both have been strong enough for such forgiveness? Do you think he'll ever accept you after all of this?"

The words Sana was saying to Kaye hit her hard to the core. 'Sana has to be wrong. Kento...'

She watched Kaye and smiled cruelly. It was another part of the fun she enjoyed when someone took a life for the first time. Messing with their minds, making them believe the people they love won't accept or forgive them. To try and persuade them to embrace the darkness.

Kaye snapped her attention towards Sana. Her eyes shined with determination, "Kento and I, we have been through so much together. It will make our bond stronger once you and your clan are gone. We will be able to heal and come back from this."

Sana clenched her fists. Her eyes narrowed as she felt her rage racing within her body. Sana closed her eyes and willed her power to full strength. As soon as she felt her power reach capacity, she opened her eyes and chanted.

Kaye felt her body freeze in place as symbols appeared above her head and under her feet. Chains and shackles shot out from above first. The manacles secured themselves to Kaye's wrists and hoisted her up into the air. Then the second set of manacles shot out from the symbol on the floor and bound around Kaye's ankles. They tightened and secured Kaye in midair. Kaye winced when she felt them tighten around her. She looked down when she heard maniacal laughter coming from Sana.

"I've always had another reason why I had you captured other than to keep my husband in line. But I won't tell you yet. You will find out soon enough. I have some business to attend. I'll be back soon." Sana answered as she left Kaye's room.

Ammon watched from his room on the monitor which sat on his desk. He bit his lip when their conversation came back to him. 'Could they? Could they help bring down my mother? Is this my out? It has to be if I don't take it now, then I'll never be free of her.' Ammon thought to himself as he made it to his door and glanced around the floor. No one was around, so he knew this was his chance. Ammon took off from his room and went up to the third floor. He glanced around and spotted Kento taking his aggression out as he totaled the room. "Kento!"

The orange Ronin stopped when he heard his name, "Nani! Oh, Ammon, what do you want? I'm busy trashing the room in case you didn't notice."

"I noticed, but we need to leave now. We need to go and get your friends!"

Kento frowned at his words, "What are you saying? Why are you asking for my help now? What's the deal?"

"I can't get into it. There's no time! We need to leave!"

"Look, I tried, and your mother threatened me about leaving. So, why not leave me alone, and..."

"The gloves are off, Kento! Sana has started the next part of her plan."

Kento's eyes went wide when he heard this. He grabbed onto Ammon's arms and lifted him off the ground. "Take me to Kaye! Now!"

Ammon shook his head, "I'm sorry, I can't. Right now, Kaye is safe. Sana still needs her for whatever she has in mind. We need reinforcements."

The orange Ronin let go of him and growled, "Fine, so how do you propose we escape?"

Ammon smirked as he motioned up, "Well, we do have a helicopter on the roof."

Kento blinked in surprise and smirked with a nod, "Let's get going." He followed Ammon as they raced to the roof. Kento glanced around on their way up. He frowned a bit when no one was around. 'Where are the assassins? I don't like this feeling.'
