Chapter 23 season 2 time to pick some names, rise of Deimos Bladesman

That Night I couldn't sleep so I went down to the labs to finally redo Taratrus and make it resemble a mix of my Greek heritage while also keeping its futuristic Vibe and adding elements of my new title of Hassan of the Deimos blade. Firstly, I redid the helmet, taking the plume off of the helmet I customized it so the top of the helmet wasn't glass, and had it combined with my mask so that with a shout it can switch from what I dubbed assassin mode, where just the skull mask was visible in front of the dommed helmet, to warrior mode where the spartan warrior helmet was active. The next thing I did was upgrade my right arm so it didn't tear through the armor every time I used Zabaniya…and last but not least gave the entire armor the ability to switch from a hulking piece of metal to a more streamline version with the plates covering broad areas instead of covering that and the joints as well, which made the armor incredibly lightweight and not so noisy. Lastly I designed a cloak to go over it mimicking the one Cursed Arm wears most of the time, giving me that extra aura of mystery, just the way I liked it.

The next day we saw on the news what happened to Ingenium.

"God poor Iida…I hope he's okay" Gabby said.

Mina nodded and said, "same here…maybe we'll see him in class?"

Atalanta nodded and said, "well…I should mention that I succeeded in blackmailing Nezu so I'll be driving with you guys"

Mina then raised her fist and shouted, "To the Blademobile!"

I looked at her as she then spun a card with "my hero academia" written on it in a strange way.

"what the heck was that?" I asked

Mina looked defeated and said, "a transition…"

I sighed and said, "this isn't some shitty anime Mina, this is real life" before walking out and getting into the car.

As soon as we got to classes we said farewell to Atalanta and headed straight to class.

As we went to class Todoroki stopped us and said, "Jango…I have a question for you"

I looked at him and said, "shoot"

"was it you who took my dad's eye?" Todoroki said.

I started to materialize a knife ready to defend myself, "yes"

Todoroki smiled and said, "good, but you should have cleaved his head clean off"

I chuckled and said, "next time I'll aim for the head"

Once in class Mina said, "it's so weird that people recognize us from TV, everyone wanted to talk to me on my way here"

Both me and Gabby looked at her with the, "no they didn't you drove here with us" face.

Kirishima chuckled and said, "same here!"

Toru said, "people on the street were staring at me, it was kind of embarrassing!"

Oujiro chuckled and said, "Sure, but isn't that pretty normal for you?"

Sero sighed and said, "you wont believe was a couple of elementary school brats yelled at me!"

We all just looked at Sero and shouted, "Nice Try!"

Sero Groaned in humiliation.

Kaminari laughed and said, "All it takes is one sports festival and suddenly we're like celebrities"

Gabby groaned and said, "Great, as if I needed more attention, first it's because of my parents now the sports festival!"

I laughed and said, "hey it could be worse, your auntie could be a vigilante, and your parents could always be the number 1 hero"

Gabby sarcastically laughed and said, "Thank god im staying with you and Atalanta"

Mineta chuckled and said, "this school really is amazing!"

Aizawa walked in and said, "Morning"

Before anything else could be said Mineta, the snitch that he is stood up and said, "Mr Aizawa did you know Jango is an assassin, and was designed to kill heroes!"

I looked the little brat in the face and said, "your dead!"

Mineta immediately regretted the choice he made because the entire class stared him down. I then got up and started to strangle Mineta

"so…Jango you finally told them?" Aizawa said

I sighed and let go of Mineta and said, "Yes…its only fair they know what I am…"

Aizawa chuckled and said, "so what did the Hassan of the cursed arm want to talk about?"

I grinned and said, "Well I am the 20th wielder of the Zabaniya, and the 20th hassan I sabbah"

Aizawa nodded and said, "Mineta, detention for the next two weeks, I already knew but seeing as you decided to snitch after Jango trusted you with such a secret it is only fair you get punished"

Aizawa then walked to the podium.

Asui then said, "Ribbit, Mr. Aizawa, you don't have bandages anymore, that's good news"

Yet he still looks like a trash panda.

Aizawa sighed and said, "The old lady went a little overboard in her treatment. Anyway. We have a big class today on Hero Informatics"

Informatics? You mean like a pop quiz?

Aizawa then said, "you need codenames, time to pick your hero identities"

The entire class started to cheer. Well...everyone minus Aizawa who looked very pissed.

Aizawa then said, "This is related to the pro hero draft picks that I mentioned the last time we were in class together, normally students don't have to worry about the draft yet, not until their second or third year actually, but your class is different. In fact, by extending offers to first-years like you pros are essentially investing in your potential, any offers can be rescinded in their interest in you dies down before graduation, though".

Toru then said, "so what you're saying is, we'll still have to prove ourselves after we've gotten recruited"

Aizawa nodded and said, "Correct. Now here are the totals for those of you who got offers, Jango there we thousands for you, however most of those we got rid of because looking at the hero in question we realized that they were mainly after your skill as an assassin not as a hero"

"did endeavor leave an offer for me?" I smirked

Aizawa nodded and said, "Principal Nezu has banned Endeavor from requesting you because we all know its because you took his eye"

Everyone just turned to me and gave me a look of, what-the-fuck-is-wrong-with-you.

"wait that was you!" Iida yelled in surprise.

"damn right it was, and I am not sorry for it, after hearing what he did to Shoto Endeavor deserved it!" I grinned

I then looked at the board and realized I had 6,666 total requests.

Aizawa then said, "in past years its been more spread out, but there's a pretty big gap this time"

Everyone was freaking out over their results, hell even Gabby who got 5,562 Requests.

Aizawa then said, "Despite these results, you'll all be interning with pros. Got it? Even those of you who didn't get any offers, and Jango yours have already been picked, you and Gabby will be interning with Best Jeanist and Ryukyu"

Gabby looked shocked and said, "wait why!"

Aizawa pointed and said, "while Mina will be interning with someone else, Someone has got to keep an eye on Jango, so Ryukyu and Best Jeanist will be your mentors and Gabby will be going to make sure nothing stupid happens"

Midoriya then said, "Oh so we're all interning?"

Aizawa nodded and said, "Yes, you already got to experience combat with real villains during the attack on the USJ facility. But it'll still be helpful to see pros at work up close and personal, in the field. Firsthand."

That explains why we need hero names.

Aizawa said, "these hero names will likely be temporary, but take them seriously or…"

The door then swung open and in walked Midnight and my Aunt Atalanta in her old hero costume, a light blue skin tight suit covered by a bronze chestplate, bronze lion guantlets, bronze sandels, and a silver winged helmet.

Midnight chuckled and said, "You'll have hell to pay later!"

Atalanta laughed, "wouldn't want to go around with a dumbass hero name like the Immortal Dageshi!"

I stood up and said, "Heeey that's my father your talking about!"

Atalanta laughed and said, "and my brother, so sit down young nephew"

Mineta started to drool and said, "that sexy woman is your aunt? Is she still single?"

Atalanta heard this and said, "young man, how would you like a private session, right now"

Mineta zoomed out to meet her, before being thrown through the solid wall.

"How dare you say something so perverted you worthless scumbag!" Atalanta yelled before walking back in.

Midnight chuckled and said, "What you pick today could be your codename for life you better be careful, or you'll be stuck with something utterly indecent"

Aizawa sighed and said, "Yeah they both have good points, Atalanta and Midnight will have the final approval over your names, its not my forte"

Atalanta looked at him and said, "is anything really your forte?"

Aizawa pulled out his sleeping bag and said, "sadly only sleeping and some parts of hero work really are my forte, everything else is a drag"

Aizawa sighed and said, "the name you choose is important, it helps reinforce your image and shows what kind of hero you wanna be in the future, a codename tells people exactly what you represent take "All Might" for example"

Atalanta then said, "or the Immortal Dageshi, don't hesitate to have your hero name be in another Language"

Midnight nodded and Aizawa said, "Oh and Jango, you are not allowed to use the title of Hassan I sabbah as your hero name, that is your assassin name, and I doubt the other Hassans would appreciate it"

Everyone was then handed a whiteboard and a marker to come up with hero names.

Midnight then said, "Now students who among you is ready to share?"

Wait these are being shared with the class!

Aoyama went to the front of the class and said, "Hold your breath, the Shining Hero, My name is "I can not stop Twinkling!" mona mis. You can't deny my sparkle"

Atalanta then took the board and said, "it'll be better this way. Take out the "I" and shorten the "cannot" to "can't" "

Ayoyama nodded and said, "It's stunning, mademoiselle"

Mina grinned skipping up and saying, "Okie dokie, lemme go next"

I bet its gossip girl.

Mina grinned and said, "My code name: Alien Queen!"

Midnight shuttered and said, "Hold on like that horrible monster with acidic blood!?"

Atalanta shook her head side to side and said, "that sounds good to me"

Midnight turned rigid and said, "I don't think so"

Mina sighed and said, "Dang it"

Asui then raised her hand and said, "Ribbit, I think I've got one, okay if I go next?"

Midnight chuckled and said, "Come on up!"

Asui came up and said, "I've had this name in mind since grade school, Rainy season Hero: Froppy"

It was actually kind of cute, and it fit perfectly with Asui's child friendly appearance.

Atalanta and Midnight both gushed about the name.

Atalanta said, "oh god that name gave me cavities is so sweet so pure!"

Midnight clapped her hands together and said, "That's delightful it makes you sound approachable"

Atalanta nodded and said, "what a great example of a name everyone will love!"

We all started to chant Froppy.

Kirishima walked up and said, "I've got mine, too. The sturdy Hero. My name is Red Riot!"

Midnight chuckled and said, "Red Riot? Interesting. You're paying homage to the chivalrous hero, Crimson Riot, who if I am not mistaken was taken down by Atalanta"

Atalanta looked like she wanted disappear.

Kirishima chuckled and said, "That's right, he may be kind of old school, but someday I wanna be just like he was, Crimson is my idol, you know before Jango's aunt killed him"

I then shouted, "Never gonna let that go are you Kiri?'

Kirishima laughed and said, "Nope!"

Midnight chuckled and said, "Hm. If you're bearing the name of someone you admire, you have that much more to live up to."

Kirishima smirked and said, "I accept the challenge!"

Gabby then went up and said, "The Mentalist hero, I shall be called Miss Chief!" (pronounced like Mischief)

Midnight chuckled and said, "I love it!"

I then walked up and said, "The Mercenary hero, I am 9292"

Atalanata looked at me with a "really you idiot?" look and said, "I will not let my Nephew's hero named be his I.D from a PMC, go pick another name"

I went down with a sigh.

Kaminari sighed and said, "I still haven't been able to think of anything that's cool enough"

Jirou then tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Hey, I've got one. How does "Jamming-yay" sound to you?"

Kaminari chuckled and said, "Ha! Oh, it's like Hemmingway who wrote A farewell to arms, right? Real clever. I like it!"

Jirou laughed and said, "No it's because even though you're powerful, you always Jam your brain"

As Jirou rushed up to reveal her hero name Kaminari yelled, "Oh come on, Jirou Quit messing with me!"

Jirou smirked and said, "the hearing hero, I'm earphone jack!"

Other students ran up to give their hero names.

Such as Shoji the tentacle Hero, Tentacole.

Midnight chuckled and said, "Oh I like what you're doing with that!"

Atalanta looked confused.

Midnight chuckled again and said, "It's a Japanese thing sweetie"

Mina walked up again and shouted, "Gossip Girl!"

Atalanata said, "no kiddo there is already a gossip girl and no one likes her, so pick a new name"

Sero then walked up and said, "the taping Hero, Cellophane"

Atalanta said, "That's on the nose. Good work!"

Oujiro walked up and said, "Martial arts hero: Tailman!"

I chimmed in and said, "wouldn't it be Mar-tail arts" trying to be funny.

Oujiro quickly changed it and said, "Jango I hate that what you said works, but fuck it I like it!"

I gave him a thumbs up but he flipped me off as he went to his seat.

Sato grinned and said, "I'm the sweets Hero, Sugardaddy!"

We all collectively cringed and Atalanta said, "now kiddo please think how that would sound if a kid said that"

Sato looked at his name and said, "fair point" before changing it to SugarMan.

Mina growled and shouted, "Pinky!"

Midnight and Atalanta pumped their fists and Midnight shouted, "Make those looks work for you, girl!"

Kaminari walked up and said, "Stun Gun Hero: I am chargebolt! Electric, doncha think?"

Midnight chuckled and said, "Makes me all tingly!"

Toru then walked up and said, "the stealth hero: Invisible Girl!"

Midnight smiled and said, "Now come on, who's gonna step up next!"

Yamomo walked up and said, "I hope that I can live up to this name. the everything Hero: I'm creati!"

Atalanta nodded and said, "creative!"

Everyone else went and when it got to Mineta I shouted, "you should be called the perverted hero grape juice!"

Which got a laugh out of everyone.

And then Bakugou came up and said, "King Explosion Murder"

…

…

God damn it Bakugou.

Atalanta said, "I'm gonna say that one's a little too violent"

Midnight said, "agreed it is way too violent!"

Bakugou growled and said, "and the assassin hero is okay!"

Atalanta said, "it brings fear to villains, not to everyone"

Kirishima then said, "why don't you be explosion boy!"

Bakugou growled and said, "You shut up, weird hair!"

Gabby laughed and said, "Dynamight!"

Bakugou said, "that is sort of good but my quirk is all about murder so it has to be part of my name!"

Uraraka then went up and said, "this is the name I thought of: Uravity!"

Atalanta looked up at the clock and said, "to be honest choosing names is going by faster than I thought it would! All we have left is young Bakugou, who needs to rethink his, Iida, and Jango oh, yes, and Midoriya too!"

Iida then went up and revealed his Hero name would simply be "Tenya", yeah I kinda figured he would be boring…maybe it was more out of respect for his brother….

Midnight said, "You're using your real name, too?"

Midnight then looked at Midoriya and said, "well Midoriya are you ready?"

Midoriya stuttered and said, "Oh, yes!" before walking up.

As he revealed his board I realized I would have a better name for him than Calling him Midoriya all the time.

Mineta said, "really Midoriya?"

Kaminari shrugged and said, "You sure about that?"

Kirishima nodded and said, "yeah man remember, that could be your name forever"

Midoriya nodded and said, "right, I used to hate it. But then, something changed, I guess….someone taught me that it could have a different meaning. And that had a huge impact on how I felt. So now I really like it, Deku. That has to be my codename.

Bakugou then went up and said, "LORD EXPLOSION MURDER"

And he calls me the edgelord.

Midnight looked at him and said, "That's basically the same thing…"

Midnight looked at me and said, "Jango…have you come up with one?"

I wanted something to embody the noble path of the warriors of ancient Greece, but something to tell people who I truly was. A swordsman no….a Bladesman. Yes that would be my title, the Assassin Hero Bladesman! But…something felt off about it, like it needed some extra Pizzazz. With a smirk I realized what I shall call myself.

I nodded my head and walked up and said, "The Assassin Hero, I am Deimos Bladesman!"

Atalanta looked at the clock and said, "well now that this is over…I have to head over to class 1B and start helping Vlad, have fun everyone!"

Aizawa finally woke up and said, "finally, now that everyone's decided on their hero names, we can go back to talking about your upcoming internships, they'll last for two week, as for who you'll be working with: those of you who were on the board will choose from among your offers, minus Jango and Gabby, you two will be doing this for two weeks, one week for Jeanist, one week for Ryukyu "

I felt cheated because I really wanted to intern with someone like The Mercenary Hero: Black ops, I remembered hearing about how he was a retired Marine, he would have made an excellent Mentor.

Aizawa then said, "everyone else will have a different list, you have a lot to think about, there are about 40 agencies across the country who've agreed to take on interns from your class, each agency has a different specialty that its heroes focus on. Keep that in mind."

Midnight nodded and said, "Imagine that you were Thirteen, you'd want to choose a place that focuses on rescuing people, not fighting villains. Understand?"

Aizawa then said, "think carefully before you decide"

Me and Gabby groaned. Two weeks with a damn denim freak and an overgrown dragon lady. Both of which don't specialize in assassination.

I then overheard Uraraka picked Gunhead and thought, "damn it why couldn't I have been place with him, he is an epic hero and I could actually beat him up!"

Uraraka then said, "The stronger I am, the more possibilities I'll have. Plus, learning from a battle hero will give me a different perspective. Right?"

I turned around and said, "if you wanted someone to teach you fighting, I could have trained you"

Gabby raised her eyebrow and said, "she wants to become stronger, not learn how to kill people!"

With a chuckle we continued on with our day till finally it was time to head home.
