Last time: Sasha and Viran set off to find help. And Sasha heard a voice.
Now: They meet Kyr.
Enjoy!
Chapter 3- Kyr'prudii
Tonalea, according to the navicomputer, was a small remote desert planet in the far outer rim. It was also at least a ten hour flight through hyperspace. Sasha had decided to rest in the bunk room while Viran hung out in the cockpit. However, sleep was just not coming to her. The nightmare plagued her mind yet again when she did get any more than an hour of sleep. With a groan, Sasha pushed herself off of the bunk and leaned forward with her head in her hands.
Sasha, can you hear me?
Startled, Sasha looked around. There was that voice again. Was it really Oppie? Sasha wasn't going to let the voice get away from her this time. Shoving off the bunk, Sasha moved to a criss cross position on the floor. Taking a deep breath, Sasha reached out in the Force to the source of the voice.
Oppie, she thought. Is that you?
Nothing. No response. So Sasha tried harder to hear the voice.
Sasha, I need your help. Please. I need to hear your voice.
Voice? Sasha considered that for a moment. She then cleared her throat.
"Oppie, is that you?" Sasha asked out loud but in a soft whisper.
Sasha! I can't hear you, but I sense you are there. Please find a way to reach me… please.
"Oppie!" Sasha called out as if that would help.
But no response came back to her. Opening her eyes, Sasha felt her body shake from joy and sadness and confusion and like so many other emotions. That was his voice. He really must be alive after all. But she still couldn't sense him in the force. His life Force was still gone when she tried to reach out for it. Was he reaching out to her from the afterlife? But there was no such thing… or was there? Sasha had a million and one questions, but no answers. At least not yet.
She heard Viran rush into the bunk room. She glanced up to see him hustling to her side in a panicked state.
"Sash! Are you okay?" Viran asked worriedly. "Was it the nightmare again?
Sasha shook her head as a small smile pulled at her lips. "No. Vir… I heard the voice again. I heard Oppie's voice."
"How can you be sure that it's him and not your mind trying to play tricks on you?" Viran asked carefully.
Sasha stared at him with a serious gaze. "Because I know it's him, Vir. I just don't know how I am hearing his voice. All I do know is that he is trying to communicate with me."
Viran sighed and ran a hand over his face. "If you truly believe it's him, do everything you can to reach out to him. But please be cautious. It might be a trap."
"I will," Sasha said with a nod.
With that, Viran left her alone with her thoughts. For the remainder of their flight to Tonalea, Sasha did everything in her power that she knew to try and reach for Oppie. It was met with no success. She didn't want to believe it was all in her head. She wanted to believe he was still out there. But after hours of trying, Sasha gave up for the time being. She was mentally exhausted and they had just arrived at the planet where they would have to find a Mandalorian. With a heavy sigh, Sasha prepared herself to deal with what was to come and leave the mental search for Oppie for a later time.
There were forty-seven of them, herding him up the hill. He had caught some of their number in the valley last night and killed twelve before he had had to break off the engagement, making his way across the foothills to this hill that dominated the landscape. He was about ten kilometers from the settlement the marauders had been raiding for the past three seasons. The hill itself was nothing special, but it was mostly exposed boulders and provided lots of cover, which the rest of the landscape didn't really offer. He also had a clear line of sight downhill as the marauders tried to make their way up and kill him.
They were amateurs, mostly untrained thugs that barely knew which way to point the blaster. They were also bullies, which Kyr didn't like. Sniping them off from uphill as they tried to inch their way up the few clear footpaths was not terribly difficult, though they spooked easily so he tried to let them keep coming to him.
It was early evening and the sun was going down, a couple hours earlier he noticed that they had stopped trying to make their way up the trail and just stayed in cover, taking pot shots at him whenever he peeked over the boulders to try to figure out what the heck they were doing. That probably meant they had split up, and some were going around the back of the hill to try to encircle him, trap him at the peak, and starve him out or just brute force attack him and take him down through sheer numbers. Took them all day to figure that one out.
So all was going according to plan. The guys down at the bottom looked like they were getting kind of uppity, so Kyr fired off a few rounds down hill. They dodged for cover, and returned fire, and then looked like they continued forward, bolting from cover to cover. Ah, they were pushing up.
"Tac", he said in his buy'ce, "you make any progress on hacking their comms?"
A shrill whistling and some rude sounds reproached him over the channel.
"Well it looks like they're making their push anyway, maybe they just set a timer or something." He said in response. "I'm pulling back to CP Cresh, send the fire package on my call."
A rude warbling sound responded, as Kyr displaced from cover and started backing up the path he was using. His movement triggered a veritable hailstorm of blaster bolts in his general direction. Kyr rolled his eyes as none of them even got within a meter of him.
"No ON my signal, I don't trust your judgement." Kyr said with an annoyed tone. As he was moving up trail he spied a ship coming into the settlement. Then it looked like it made a turn for his little hill. His visor quickly read the transponder signal and highlighted it for him. "Lousy time for tourists - wait. Tac see if you can get a comm line to that ship." He said, shouting over the din of blaster bolts and fragmenting boulders from the withering fire. "Don't shoot it down." He added.
A binary raspberry was all he got for a reply before the com line opened, "Su cuy'gar Op - Didn't expect to see you so soon." He said calmly over the din of the firestorm. He turned around and fired a few rounds down range, thought about throwing a grenade down there and decided it was better to save them. He brushed off some dust that was collecting on his coppery beskar and was glad these guys would be dead soon.
"Sasha, you should come see this," Viran called back as he pulled the ship into the atmosphere.
He heard her footsteps behind him as he guided them down toward the surface. The valley of the planet was made of varying reds, browns, yellows, and small touches of green. For a desert planet, the coloring made the planet look so beautiful and serene. Viran had the vague thought in the back of his head that he could get used to living on a planet like that. He turned his gaze to Sasha who was also staring at the planet. Her eyebrows then knitted together as she pointed out into the valley.
"What's that?" Sasha asked.
Viran turned his attention back to the valley below. Below, a fire fight came into view. It looked like a large squad of marauders were facing off against… nothing? Actually, scratch that. There was something. Something shining in the rocks from up above. Viran smirked as he recognized Kyr's armor. The Mando was blending in so well with his surroundings that it literally took him a moment to truly spot him at all.
"Is that Kyr?" Sasha asked. "It looks like he is about to be over run down there. We should see if we can give him a hand."
"I'll look for someplace to land," Viran said with a nod in agreement.
Suddenly, they were being hailed on the comms. A surprisingly calm voice filled their ears as they answered the call.
"Su cuy'gar Op - Didn't expect to see you so soon." He said calmly.
Sasha and Viran exchanged a sadden glance. Viran turned his attention back to the comms.
"Kyr, it's Viran," He said but didn't answer the obvious problem with the question. "Are you doing alright down there? It looks like you are about to be overrun."
"Oh hey Sport." They heard the muffled sounds of blaster fire over the open line "Nah I'm good, thanks though. You might want to back up a bit. Oh! Hey can you peek over the other side of the hill? Should be like twenty or thirty guys?"
Viran and Sasha glanced over the hill.
"Yeah, looks like there are at least twenty more headed your way," Viran replied.
"Great! Thanks, Sport. My droid couldn't see them." Over the comlink a very angry chirping followed by a warbling scolded them. "Yeah, well whose fault is it that it was broken eh beskar'ad?"
The two young Jedi exchanged a glance, both with a raised eyebrow. Sasha also mouthed "Sport" to Viran as if to figure out the origin of the nickname. Viran rolled his eyes at it as he shrugged. He then turned his attention back to the comm.
"Kyr. We are still on the comm," Viran butted in.
"Yeah, I know Tac is kind of a people person. I'm almost at the top of the hill, you wanna back off a bit?"
"Uh, yeah. Hold on," Viran said as he pulled the controls on the ship and maneuvered it away from the hilltop. Once he was far enough away but still had the battle in sight, he parked the ship in hover mode.
Reaching the peak of the hill Kyr shut off the comm line, and looked over the other side. Yep, twenty of them coming up to say hi. He pulled the detonator out of his pouch and opened his line to Tac "Okay, I've reached CP Cresh - send firepackage." He got an approving warble over the line and in the distance, his light enhanced visitor lit up as three rockets shot off from where he had his ship landed, flying off to a hillside some kilometers away. As the fire on his position intensified he took some shelter behind the few boulders up here and enjoyed the light show of all the blaster bolts flying wildly up the hill to try and keep him pinned down. He wished he had a snack bar or something, he was feeling peckish.
Then he pressed the detonator.
All around him the entire hillside in every direction simply exploded, leaving the peak untouched except for a hailstorm of flying debris from the rocks and, probably, the marauders too. He'd spent his first night here littering the sides of the hill with explosives so he could pull the main body of their forces into the trap. About now, the rockets should be hitting their encampment where he expected the leaders of the marauders, or at least most of them, to be tactically distancing themselves from the battle on the hill.
As the screams subsided and the echoes from the explosions faded, the debris rained down around him, but he heard no blaster fire. He re-opened the comline to Op's ship. "Okay, that should be it, I got a campsite about three klicks towards the settlement in the river bed if you guys want to set down."
"Okay, we will meet you there," Sport's voice chimed in.
Kyr switched over to Tac's line. "We have guests coming in, don't destroy them." He got a questioning burble of sounds. "Yes, actual guests, and I DO mean don't destroy them." He said with a sigh. Over the line Tac sent back a happily excited whistle. He really was a people person.
Sasha sat and watched as Viran pulled the ship over to where Kyr had indicated. As they approached they could make the set of his campsite. Viran maneuvered the ship to land next to Kyr's where it was close enough to the campsite, but still far enough away that it didn't blow everything over. Once the ship touched down, Viran switched everything off. Sasha glanced over to Viran. She had this nervous pit in her stomach. She was never nervous meeting people, but something about meeting a Mandalorian who was close to Oppie was making her uneasy.
"Don't worry about him," Viran said reading her mind. "He will help us."
"That's not what I'm worried about," Sasha said plainly. "I've just got this strange feeling is all."
"Okay, let me know if it gets worse," Viran commented with a frown.
Sasha nodded. Together, the two of them disembarked the ship and made their way over to the campsite. There was no sign of Kyr just yet or the droid they heard him talk to.
"Hey guys." Kyr said from the darkness to their right. Viran and Sasha released a yelp as Kyr suddenly appeared. "I was just about to light the fire."
Sasha glanced up at the copper plated Mando as he made his way over to the fire pit as the sun was getting lower and lower with each passing moment. She had never met a Mandalorian face to face before. So it was interesting to meet one that Oppie knew and that just took down all those marauders, but he somehow seemed so down to earth. Whatever that feeling was before was gone. However it was replaced with a different feeling. Almost a familiar one.
"Make yourselves at home." He said with a glance at them as he bent down to ignite the campfire. As the fire roared to life he looked back towards their ship. "Where's Op?"
Sasha shuddered for a moment at the mention of his name before following Viran over to the logs that were set up around the fire for sitting upon. Viran sat down and folded his arms across his chest.
"That's actually why we are here," Viran started as he glanced up at Sasha. She sat down on the boulder next to him, but kept her gaze low. "Something has happened."
"What?" Kyr said, his voice grave as he paused what he was doing. "Did he get captured?"
"No…" Viran trailed off before saying what had to be said. "Oppie's dead."
Sasha slammed her eyes closed as she tried to bite back the tears.
Kyr was silent for a time, his helmet fell a little towards his chest as he looked downward. "Oh." He said simply, numbly. Then he looked up at them sharply. "How did he die?" Kyr asked with an edge to his voice, sitting down heavily.
Viran recounted the story, what happened with the battle with the Sith Lord, Darth Dracul, and his acolytes, and how Oppie got them away just in time.
"And before we knew it, we were aboard the ship and the holocron exploded," Viran finished. "He didn't make it. He was right in the middle of the explosion."
Sasha was clenching her fists. Despite the nightmares, Sasha hadn't truly talked about that day out loud to anyone. Not even Viran. So hearing it happen again made her heart throb as the hole was still there. She glanced up at Kyr to see what his reaction would be.
Kyr sat silent for a moment without saying a word, looking into the fire. "I met Op for the first time face to face five years ago, I wanted him to help me avenge my family's death." He paused for a moment considering. "He refused, he had to look after you two. When you guys came to Artemis last month, I understood. Actually meeting you guys I knew why he couldn't abandon you to go after those who murdered my family. The people I cared so deeply about, to avenge the death of the woman who loved him so much." He paused, Sasha and Viran not sure what to say, Kyr filled the void, not really speaking to them. "One of the last things I told him was to make sure we didn't have to avenge you two. Feirfeck Op," he said in exasperation "I didn't think I needed to say the same applied to you."
Oppie had never told them about this. Neither Sasha nor Viran knew of this interaction with Kyr or who the mystery woman that loved Oppie was. Sasha wondered if she would have been upset that he didn't tell them, but at this moment, just learning more about Oppie almost seemed to help with healing.
Kyr ran his hands across the eye slits of his visor as if rubbing his forehead, and then stopped, like he realized he was still wearing the helmet. He lifted his buy'ce off of his head and placed it beside him on the ground, pinching the bridge of his nose with his left hand, and then looked up as he wiped his hand down his face. Sasha and Viran were staring at him in shock. "Oh, yeah it's only certain clans that are really strict about keeping the buy'ce on. That surprises a lot of people when we take the helmets off around them," he said distractedly.
Viran couldn't believe his eyes. His face was frozen with shock. Sasha's reaction was completely different. Hands shaking, Sasha brought them up to her mouth, covering it. Her breathing became ragged as she couldn't believe the sight before her very eyes. She felt tears brim, tears she thought she had run out of.
He looked exactly like Oppie. Practically identical to their lost friend and brother. Was this some kind of cruel joke or was this the real deal?
"No way…" Viran breathed with a shake in his voice.
"What?" Kyr asked confused. He then put two and two together just by looking at their reactions. Sighing audibly, Kyr shook his head. "He never told you that I was his identical twin, did he?" They shook their heads. "Feirfeck. I'm sorry you had to find out this way."
Sasha felt her chest tighten. She also felt like she was going to be sick.
"Excuse me, I… I need a moment," Sasha uttered her voice barely above a whisper.
Moving from her seated position, Sasha took off toward the tree line with a hustled step. When she got to the trees, she braced herself against one with her arms wrapped around her body as if to stop the shaking. Her breathing was still erratic as she tried to calm down, but her body wouldn't let her unless she allowed herself to break down. Sasha couldn't do that here and now. She tried to keep it together, but how could anyone keep it together after a bombshell like that?
Oppie never told them about Kyr. Never told them about his twin. From the nightmares, to hearing Oppie's voice, to this?! It almost seemed like fate was trying to make her miserable. But a small fraction of her told herself that there just might be a connection to all of this and why it was all happening now. However, right now was not the time to figure that out. Now was the time to try and control her own emotions at which she was failing at.
Kyr and Viran watched Sasha move off to the tree line worriedly but said nothing, respecting her desire to have a moment in private. Kyr was the first to speak; "I guess that's a hard topic to broach; 'hey guys sorry I'm late, I ran into my twin brother and he wanted me to go kill a bunch of imps to avenge the family I never knew I had.'" Kyr said, his features made the words ring strangely.
"He kept a lot from us, I'm not sure he ever moved past seeing us as younglings he had to protect." Viran said, still worried about Sasha and keeping a watch on her, before turning back to gaze into the fire.
Kyr wasn't sure how to respond, he hadn't known the man well enough to say a lot. "Yeah, or maybe just as his brother and sister he had to protect." He said, thinking about that encounter five years ago.
"That's possible," Viran said leaning forward with his chin resting on his fist. "I don't know though. You would think after fifteen years with someone that you would know everything about them, but I guess I am just mad that we are finding out about all this now and he is not here to explain himself either. I just wish I knew his reasons."
"Maybe it's genetic." Kyr said, "all the other mandos I know are the same way, saying few words and keeping it all to themselves." He picked up a stray stick and started poking the fire.
"Well Jedi aren't exactly open books either," Viran added. "I never knew much about the younglings I was in a group with. I knew their species, their names, their home planets, but not a whole lot else. I guess with Op being both Jedi and Mandalorian he was more likely to be a closed book then the rest of us."
"Yeah." Kyr said, still absently poking the fire. "Still, I thought he would'a mentioned me though." He said with an annoyed sniff.
"Yeah," Viran said, staring into the flames. He then took a deep breath. He then glanced back at the tree line to see Sasha's back to them. Viran then glanced back at Kyr. "Are you alright? I know this news is hard for anyone who knew him, but I just thought I'd check."
Kyr was silent for a moment, gazing into the fire before he spoke. "Before last month I only met him the one time five years ago. Kitsu and I would check on you guys every now and then, but just in passing… I hardly knew him." He sighed. "Hell, I didn't know him at all." He said, still speaking into the fire. "It's hard to miss someone you never knew, but… it's hard being the last one left, too. Just me and Kitsu and a few other, distant cousins. But, " he paused, "death is a part of the way." He absently placed his hand over the trapezoidal heart piece over the center of his chest, "Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la." He glanced up at Viran; "'Not gone, merely marching far away.'" He translated, since he figured the two Jedi had never learned mando'a.
Viran nodded. "Well that's why we came looking for you, because we knew that he trusted you and that you could help us. With Oppie gone, we admittedly don't know what to do or where to go that will be safe for us. Like I said, fifteen years with someone who has been telling us where to go and what to do," he paused, "to suddenly not having them around anymore making those decisions is a big change. It's strange, now, having to make those decisions on our own. Plus…" He looked back to Sasha, "she has been taking this really hard. It's gotten to the point now where it's no longer just the nightmares, but now she claims to be hearing Oppie's voice calling out to her. I want to believe her, but she and I both saw what happened. We both felt what happened."
Kyr nodded, "Yeah explosions have a way of being pretty… final." He said, thinking back to the hill an hour earlier. "Is that even a thing with the Force though... You know" he put his hands up and wiggled his fingers, invoking signs of mystical power. "The dead talking to you?"
Viran didn't know to respond. He tried forming the words then sat their pondering for a moment. He then slowly shook his head. "I don't… think so. I mean I have never heard of something like it before. But after Sasha's interaction with that Sith woman, I could believe anything is possible with the Force if it's with a living being. Of course, the Force is unpredictable as the old masters would always say. So it could be possible, but it's still really hard to believe when it's not happening to you."
"Yeah. I admit though, in quiet moments I speak to my family and sometimes they talk back, I think it's just that I knew them well enough to know what they'd say." He picked up the stick again and absently poked the fire some more.
"This almost seems different just based on her reactions to it," Viran said with furrowed brows. "She could explain it better than I could."
Kyr paused poking the fire. "Wait, does she actually think it's more than just hearing his voice?"
"I think she does," Viran said unsure. "Like I said before, she can explain it better. However, it may be awhile before she comes back over here unless one of us goes to talk to her."
The stick had caught fire while he was paused so Kyr tossed it into the fire. "Should I put my bucket back on?"
Viran shook his head. "No, I think you're fine with it off. I mean it was startling at first, but I've already gotten used to it. It's just that she needs to get used to seeing you as you, not as Op. I can't quite say what's going through her mind right now, but once she gets used to you she will be fine." Viran stood from his seat. "I'm going to go check on her."
Sasha had calmed down a while ago. She could still easily overhear the two of them talking about Oppie and her. Finally feeling like she could go back and join them, Sasha pushed herself off of the tree and started making her way back. As she walked back, she nearly ran into Viran.
"Hey I just came to check on you," Viran stated, worried. "Are you okay?"
Sasha nodded. "I'm better."
Viran nodded as she stepped past him. She paused for a moment and glanced at him. She leaned in and placed a kiss on his cheek.
"Thanks for your concern," She said sweetly as she then continued back toward Kyr and the fire as she unknowingly left Viran to his own thoughts for a moment. When she got back over, she bowed slightly at Kyr. "I'm sorry about before. I just… need to get my thoughts in order was all. It was a lot to take in."
"No worries." Kyr said looking at her, he glanced over at Viran who looked like he was taken aback for a moment, before continuing. "I thought you two knew, I'm sorry."
"Well then I think it's time for proper introductions," Sasha said as she held her hand out to him. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Kyr." She hesitated on his name for a moment as he really did look just like Oppie, but she wasn't going to let her feelings cloud her judgement. This was a different man with a different life, but only the same face.
"A pleasure to meet you too ma'm," he said, grasping her hand and firmly shaking it.
Sasha shook his hand firmly in return before releasing it. She then resumed her seat across from him in front of the fire. Viran had returned to his seat too. Sasha then looked back at Kyr.
"You mentioned that something happened to your family that," She paused, considering her words, "that Oppie declined your call to help with," Sasha started. "I remember him acting strangely five years ago, but what happened?"
Kyr's features fell again as he looked into the fire, avoiding their gaze. "Did you ever hear about The Duchess?" he asked.
"You mean the Duchess of Mandalore? The one who was killed during the Clone Wars?" Sasha asked as she exchanged a confused glance with Viran. "I thought she was a pacifist?"
Kyr glanced up at them and pinched the bridge of his nose again. "Yeah," he started, his hands falling back to his lap as he let his gaze fall again. "I guess to most people when they think of The Duchess they think back to Satine." He said absently. "The Duchess was the name of a weapon, created by the dar'manda, Sabine Wren." he spat out the name as if it was a foul curse. "It was designed only to kill Mandalorians, those that follow the way. It targets the beskar." He softly pounded his fist against one of his chest plates. "The Empire commissioned it. My family were supporters of the Republic, mainly because we've had a few Jedi in our line. We spoke out against the Empire. The Sector Moff invited our family to a summit. I was off world on a job, but my mom, sister, most of the rest of the family went to attend, and to provide security in case the Empire tried anything. And they 'tested' The Duchess on them." He looked into the fire as though he was looking at something a mile off. "It killed them, cooked them alive in their armor and turned them to ash. That was six years ago, when that happened I went to go find Op."
"Whoa… I had no idea the Empire even had a weapon like that," Viran said shocked. "We've only heard about the stormtroopers and inquisitors, and what they have been doing to the galaxy as a whole. This is next level cruel."
Sasha nodded in agreement. She reached over and placed a gentle hand on Kyr's knee. "I know it was a while ago, but I am sorry for your loss. I wish Oppie would have told us, but that… that is something you don't talk about lightly. It probably drove him insane that he couldn't be there with you because of us. Actually I think it did. He seemed so off and out of it for a while after that." She then removed her hand.
"Oh yeah, I remember that," Viran nodded. "We thought he was mad at us based on the way he was acting." Viran had a small smile tug at his lips as he remembered. The smile then faded. "I guess knowing what we know now it makes sense. He was probably beating himself up over it. I know I would if I were in his shoes."
"Yeah, well…" Kyr said, obviously uncomfortable. "He and I had a good brawl, he thought I was just some bounty hunter that had tracked him down for the Jedi reward." He rolled his eyes. "Everyone always assumes a Mando is a bounty hunter. I went to go talk to him and he ambushed me, we nearly killed each other. It was a great fight." He added, as if reliving a fond memory. "But when I took off my buy'ce he was even more shocked than you two were, and to learn about his family. Both about his family and what had happened. But he refused to go on some revenge mission. Said he still had a family he needed to keep safe. I didn't talk to him again till he showed up on Artemis." He absently looked in the flames yet again. "Got a Star Destroyer out of it though," he said with a shrug. "Still floating out there, don't have any idea who would possibly buy it."
Sasha looked at him with an apologetic glance. She then gazed into the fire. She didn't know quite how to respond. Viran, however, did.
"I'm sorry, what?!" Viran asked, shocked. "How did you manage to get a Star Destroyer?!"
"Oh, it was pretty easy, just tedious." He said, perking up a bit, talking professionally. "Just had to sneak aboard when they dumped their garbage, plant some explosives to disable the secondary command decks. Took the main bridge and vented the atmosphere." He said. "Main problem was like twenty or so guys got into vac suits in time, so I had to spend like a week hunting them down. You never realize how big those things are until you have to start searching room by room. Got some nice Deathrooper gear too, the Moff had a squad as his personal guard."
"That's so cool!" Viran gawked.
Sasha glanced up from the flames to see Viran staring at him in awe. Somehow the looks on both of their faces and hearing of Kyr's dynamic adventures actually brought a smile to her face. For the first time in over a month, Sasha found herself smiling again. Viran glanced over to see it and it brought a smile to his face too.
"Yeah, the Empire is strong, but way too authoritative, so all you have to do is cut off the head and the body falls. Their ship systems are designed the same way." Kyr added with a hint of pride, "Probably what will do them in, eventually." He added absently.
"Yeah, eventually," Viran said distantly.
There was a silence as they continued to stare at the flames. A cold wind breezed through cooling down the desert. Sasha then glanced up at the stars above. They were all so clear in the night sky. She got lost in thought for a moment before looking back down to fire.
"It's been a really long day." Kyr said. "I think I'm going to call it a night, I'll think on a few good places that might be good for you guys to settle. Artemis might work out, if you like it. Kitsu might know some other places." He said standing, and faltered slightly, realizing he would need to tell Kitsu about what had happened to Op. He picked up his helmet from the ground. And stood to face Sasha and Viran "It was good finally talking with you guys after all these years." He finished.
Sasha and Viran stood as well, brushing off the dirt and dust. Sasha looked to Kyr.
"Same, it was good to finally meet you too," Sasha said with a pleasant nod.
With that, Kyr disappeared back towards his ship while Sasha and Viran returned aboard theirs. Once on board, Sasha and Viran got ready for the night and climbed into their respective bunks. Soon, they were fast asleep.
