Chapter 28 Gear Up for the Final Exam

That night I had way to much on my mind and couldn't sleep. All For One…the bastard responsible for what happened to me, was still out there, biding his time as the leader of the League of Villains, gods it was going to be one hell of a battle.

As I crept downstairs making sure not to wake up anyone I got myself a sparkling black cherry water and sat down to watch some TV. It was simple interview between Mount Lady and Midnight about whether or not it was okay for heroes to dress sexily. The whole interview turned into a smack talk between the two that I honestly found quite hilarious.

In class the next day I had to walk to school with Mina and Gabby because Hydra's engine needed repairs, and Apollo still didn't trust me with a new car. Luckily though I had coffee to warm me up on the way to school so I was happy..ish.

With a sigh I said, "damn it, why of all days does this have to happen"

"because Luck just isn't on your side" Gabby chuckled.

Mina giggled and said, "well at least we get to hangout more!"

We saw Mineta who started to laugh at us.

"whats wrong Jango, having car trouble guess you cant run me over this time you bitch!" Mineta laughed.

Gabby then pulled him over and I said, "you know, I was going to show you mercy and not murder you but you had to hurt my feelings by calling me a bitch"

I then gave him a wedgie and yeeted him into the ground and stomped on him a bunch of times.

I as we approached the campus I saw Tokoyami in a tree with some crows and Sero below him.

"come on dude! Get down from there!" Sero groaned.

Tokoyami growled and said, "I am one with my Kind now!"

Gabby sighed and said, "whats going on"

Sero looked at us and said, "There were birds in the tree and I told Tokoyami that he should go say hi to his brothers, so he climbed up the tree to spite me but now he won't get down"

Tokoyami flipped us off and said, "I will never come down! I'm where I belong! Caw Caw Bitch!"

I sighed and flicked my arm activating my blade and started to cut the tree causing Tokoyami to fall ontop of Sero

"okay lets go" I chuckled heading into class.

Aizawa told us there's only one week left before our final exams. I will admit I was a little off guard but seeing as I was the 2nd best student behind Yamomo I wasn't worried, I just needed to study some more. However, Aizawa did tell us the written exam is only one part of it, which means we'll be fighting as well, what fun!

Mina and Kaminari, the students at the bottom the class shouted, "I've barely taken notes this semester!"

While Mina was Laughing about it and was acting like the cute Airhead that she is Kaminari was panicking shouting, "And with the sports festival and internship, I didn't have time to read the textbook"

Tokoyami sighed and said, "it's true that we haven't had very much free time lately"

Sato said, "we've barely learned anything when we took our midterms so they didn't seem all that hard, but I'm kinda worried about these, we've been through a lot, and they probably won't pull any punches when it comes to testing us"

Mineta put on a shit eating grin and said, "as someone ranked in the top ten, I'm not that concerned"

Kaminari and Mina then charged at Mineta and said, "what!? You were ninth in the midterms!?"

Mina growled saying, "aw, man, and here I thought you were one of us!"

"Don't you know weirdo little creeps like you are only likable if they're kind of stupid?!, who's going to love you now!?" Kaminari said.

Mineta smugly said, "everyone. Trust me"

Midoriya then approached the three of them and said, "Ashido, Kaminari! We've still got time to study! That way, we'll all get to go to the training camp together!"

Iida then chimed in saying, "as class rep, I have high hopes that we'll make U.A. proud!"

Todoroki then chimmed in and said, "It's pretty hard to fail if you just pay attention in class isn't it?"

Gabby, who was ranked 8 in the class chuckled and said, "well…you two have been goofing off a lot so I mean…there really is no chance of you passing the written portion so maybe focus on the practical part of it"

Mina growled and said, "heyyyy your supposed to be supporting us!"

Gabby shrugged and said, "meh I just call it as I see it"

Kaminari grabbed his chest and said, "why you gotta cut me down like that…?"

Yamomo chuckled and said, "Hey, don't worry about it, you two, I can catch you up to speed on the important topics, if you want"

Kaminari and Mina looked at Yamomo with tears in their eyes and said, "You're the best, Yao-momo"

Yamomo then looked bummed out when she said, "I'm afraid I won't be any help when it comes to the practical, though"

I smirked and said, "I'll help whip you guys into shape for it"

Yamomo's face glistened a bit as she said, "really jango your willing to do that!"

I nodded and said, "you have my word you all will be ready for whatever the practical throws at us"

Soon the study group turned into Me, Yamomo, Sero, Ojiro, Kaminari, Mina, Jiro and Gabby.

Yamomo started to sparkle some more as she said, "This is wonderful! Yes, Let's do it!"

We all shouted, All Right, and Yamomo got to planning the study session.

Yamomo grinned and said, "we can hold the written portion study group at my residence, Jango do you know any facilities we can use for training? We can split it up Saturday will be for writing and Sunday will be combat training"

I nodded my head and said, "the dark legion facility Agoge is perfect for combat scenario training"

Mina grinned and said, "seriously Yao-mom!? I cant wait to see your fancy digs!"

Yamomo grinned and said, "oh! I must call Mother and have her prepare the great hall for us to set up; it'll be the perfect spot. What kind of tea does everyone like? I'll have her make sure we're stocked"

Gabs grinned and said, "gold tips imperial!"

I chuckled and said, "I'm more of a coffee person if that's okay with you"

Yamomo nodded and said, "we'll have the finest ground up coffee beans ready for you!"

Yamomo then grinned and said, "in my family we always drink Harrods or Wedgwood, so if you have any other preferences, let me know! When we're finished you'll all be model students! I'll make it my personal duty to push you forward!"

Everyone else was just going along with it meanwhile I was making preparations at the Agoge for Saturday.

Finally it was Lunch time and we were all hyping each other up. I was laughing and just about to take a bite of my Pork bowl when someone hit me in the back of my head.

"do you have a death wish punk!" I shouted turning around.

Why am I not surprised it was Monoma, the only person I hated more than Mineta.

Monoma smugly said, "Oh sorry, You're head's so big that it's hard to miss. I heard you brought in the Hero Killer, tch whats with you 1A punks and the limelight, first the USJ incident then you bring in Atalanta, and now the hero killer Stain? Just like in the sports festival, Class 1-A isn't happy unless they're the center of attention. But you do realize you're not in the spotlight because people think you're good heroes, right? It's just that you keep getting into so much trouble. Here's food for thought: someday, the rest of us might get caught up in your mess, and then we'll all become unwitting victims as well. What kind of horrible villains will you bring down upon us? What demon-"

Monoma was then knocked out By Kendo just as I was about to turning my fork into a stiletto and slice his throat open.

Kendo gave Monoma a stern look and said, "That's not funny, Monoma you heard what happened to Iida! Chill out!"

I smiled and said, "good thing you showed up I was about ready to cut his throat open"

Kendo chuckled and said, "I apologize for him, I'm pretty sure there's a hole where his heart should be, oh also I was listening…I know you're all worried about what's going to be on the big final practical. I heard it's gonna be combat against robots, like the entrance exam."

Perfect.

Gabby raised her eyebrow and said, "how do you know?"

Kendo chuckled and said, "One of my friends who's a few grades up filled me in. I know. Cheating. But oh, well."

Monoma started to regain consciousness and said, "what kind of idiot are you, Kendo? You just gave away our whole strategic advantage! This was our chance to finally pull ahead of that class full of idiots"

I then gave him a quick kick to the jaw and he was down for the count allowing Kendo to drag his ass away. After class I just started to get my gear together, I want to also rely on the new features of Tartarus, including the ability to work autonomously. I sent a message to Jeanist and Ryukyu telling them about the idea I had, and sent them specks for Tartarus to see if they could make Ronin work around the design. While I was doing this Bakugou was raging like a damn rabid Pomeranian.

The next two days were beyond tough for everyone, Yamomo's studying on written material was actually extremely helpful and combine that with my physical training everyone was ready for whatever the teachers put us through.

That night I received the final version of Ronin and combined it with Tartarus with ease and the next day was easy. The written final was easier than I expected.

Aizawa then shouted, "All right, put your pencils down. The last person in each row, bring the answer sheets to me."

I sat back in my seat and took a deep breath in, now it was time to let loose on the robots. We were led out to the center plaza for the practical exam, seriously how fucking big is this campus! As we arrived we saw every single teacher outside waiting for us.

Aizawa walked up and said, "Now then….Let's begin the last test, remember It's possible to fail this final. If you wanna go to camp, then don't make any stupid mistakes."

Jirou raised her eyebrow and said, "uh. Why are all the teachers here?"

Aizawa responded by saying, "I expected many of you have gathered information and believe you have some idea of what you'll be faced with today"

Kaminari snapped his fingers and said, "we're fighting those big ol' metal robots!"

Mina pumped her fist and said, "fireworks! S'mores! Here we come, camp!"

Aizawa's scarf started to move revealing Nezu was rolled up in it as he said, "Actually, this year's tests…will be completely different, for various reasons!"

Yamomo looked shocked and said, "you changed things!"

Thank god I had them train against high level security drones instead of metal robots…those soldiers were more human like.

Nezu then used Aizawa's scarf to get down and say, "the tests now have a new focus. There will be Hero work, of course. But also, teamwork and combat between actual people! So, what does that mean for you? You students will be working together in pairs and your opponents will be one of our esteemed U.A teachers! Isn't that fabulous!"

Uraraka stuttered and said, "we're fighting the teachers?"

Aizawa then said, "Additionally, your partners and your opponents have already been chosen. They were determined at my discretion based on various factors, including fighting style, grades, and interpersonal relationships. however, Jango and Gabby's opponents had to be decided by the entire faculty given their skills and powers. First, Yaoyorozu and Todoroki are a team Against me, then we have Midoriya paired with Bakugou and there opponent is"

All Might then leapt from the sky and landed right in front of us and said, "I am here to fight!"

Midoriya and Bakugou looked petrified as they said, "we're going up against All Might!"

All Might looked down at them and said, "You're going to have to work together, boys, if you want to win!"

I smirked as I looked at my Aunt and said, "oi ready for the rematch Auntie?"

Atalanata smirked and hit her spear against her shield and said, "oh I wont be your only Opponent"

I raised my eyebrow and said, "what do you mean?"

Nezu said, "Jango since you are paired up with Ms. Olson you will be facing three opponents, given your skill sets we have all agreed three opponents seems fair, considering two of your opponent's you've faced off against and won easily, and one of them you could easily overpower with Ms. Olson's quirk"

I looked at the teachers and said, "so it will be Present Mic, All Might and Atalanta then seems easy enough"

Nezu waved his paw and said, "2 out of 3 right, you wont be facing Present Mic"

"but he's the only teacher here that I have taken down with ease" I said.

"no you rotten sack of shit, I will be your third opponent!" a voice cackled.

I looked behind me to see Endeavor walking up to join the others.

I grinned and said, "let me guess, Pay back for when I took your eye?"

Endeavor gave an evil grin and said, "oh you best prepare your ass because I want blood and will gladly burn you two alive!"

I grinned and said, "oh I will not hesitate to take your other eye you over grown dumpster fire!".

Nezu then said, "to complete the exam you have 30 minutes. In order to win, your objective is to put these handcuffs on your teacher! Or you can win if one of you manages to escape from the combat stage"

Kaminari thought about it and said, , "so we've either got to capture the teacher or run away…or in Jango's case knock them unconscious, it's basically like the combat training"

Mina then said, "yeah, but is it really okay to just jet?"

Nezu gave the thumbs up and said, "yup!"

Mic smirked and said, "it's going to be much different than the combat training you all went through earlier. After all, you're going up against people way better than you!"

Jirou smugly said, "Better? Really? Wait, aren't you just the announcer who got his vocal chords frozen by Jango"

Mic looked defeated and said, "hey Watch your mouth little lady, my chords are healing fine and have some respect!"

I chuckled and said, "I could always refreeze them if you'd like"

Mic simply flipped me off and ignored me.

Thirteen then chimed in and said, "This time, your exam will be very similar to a real battle. As strange as it is, please think of us as villains"

And off goes the safety on my guns.

Snipe added in his two cents saying, "assuming you come across your enemy. If you think you can win against them, then fight! However,"

Aizawa finished Snipe's thought off by saying, "in instances where you're outmatched, it would be smarter to run away and find help."

He then turned his attention to Todoroki, Iida and Midoriya and called them out and said, "I'm sure the three of you understand"

All Might smirked and said, "it's a test of your decision-making skills! But with these rules, you're probably thinking your only real choice is to flee, or in Jango's mind go down fighting, that's why the support course made these super-clever accessories for us" before pulling out some leg and arm weights.

Mic shouted, "Behold! Ultra- compressed weights!"

All Might slapped them on and said, "these babies will add about half our body weight to our physiques, it's not much, but they will eat up our stamina and make it harder for us to move around, oh, shoot….these are heavier than I thought! We had a contest to come up with these designs, and young Hatsume ended up winning it"

We then were escorted to the viewing area to figure out some plan or in my case, sleep. Heavens know I need it, the constant narcolepsy was torture, hell not even Midnight's quirk could put me to sleep! Soon though it was near time for us to deal with our three opponents so I decided to talk Strategy with Gabby.

"had a nice nap, sleeping beauty?" Gabby laughed.

I chuckled and said, "yeah, I'm all rested up and ready to talk strategy"

Gabby grinned and said, "okay first off, whats Atalanta's quirk?"

"it's called Grace of Hermes, it makes her super light and fast, however there is a downside to it, she can overheat herself and needs to take a break beforehand" I said

"that's why she had a shield and spear… to keep her offense up and defense up as well, and the armor…its thin so its breathable" Gabby said pulling out pictures for each Teacher.

"I have access to 32 Quirk Blades, each one I can only use for 3 minutes at a time according to Nezu so I have to plan it out accordingly" I said.

Gabby then said, "what about Tartarus and Ronin, didn't you say you upgraded them to work in tandem?"

I nodded and said, "yeah I can split from Tartarus and let any one of the 12 A.i's the dark legion has to control it, I've opted to trust Athena for the control, she has the most tactics and will most likely be our aid, along with my Zabaniyas"

Gabby then pulled up a picture of our arena and said, "we'll be facing off on the roof tops of skyscrapers, if we fall off we loose as well, so that means we have that to worry about, have any ideas?"

I grinned evily and said, "oh Atalanta is at a disadvantage, she can't control her speed that well, so if we find a way to make her slip she'll carene off the side of the building and that's one down"

Gabby then pointed at the Bridges and said, "they seem wide enough to get through"

I shook my head and said, "they'll go after that first, so we need to clear as many gaps before they destroy all the bridges"

Gabby furrowed her brow and said, "but they'd be stuck to, why would they do something like that"

I looked at the notes Nezu gave us on the map and showed us we can go down 15 floors on each skyscraper, any lower and we fail.

"because, I would do something like that, and then have someone blow the towers to hell, trap them like rats and then let the fire drive them to insanity" I said looking at the map.

Gabby nodded and said, "well how about, how can we get around?"

I tapped my chin and said, "hmm maybe we can untilize the various Quirk blades for that, for example Boreas, Kamui woods, gaia, and Rocksteady all have Quirks that allow them to manipulate elements in ways to make bridges" before pulling out those daggers and stabbing them through the bridges.

Gabby smirked and said, "and we can use my Quirk to make bridges as well in case you cant use the quirk blades, that deals with that but what about All Might and Endeavor… they'll be tough opponents"

"well first off we need to take into consideration they can't fight in the air, they can all just glide in the air or hover for a little bit of time, though I am pretty sure Endeavor will find some way around that we'll get to that later, firstly lets consider All Might, he's strong, yes, but he does have a time limit, we could permanently take him out by using Chronos" I said before holding Up a Quirk Blade with an hour glass on it and stabbing it through a picture of All might.

Gabby looked at me and said, "you want to force him to change into his weakened form?"

I nodded my head and said, "I've done the math and calculations since my last battle with him all those months ago, and I know this will be the best option however I need to have unbroken concentration while doing it so we need to take care of Endeavor and Atalanta first, or get All Might into a place where you can use your Quirk to hold him down as I force him to turn back"

Gabby grinned and said, "we can also do a bit of gureilla warfare in the lower floors and cross through there as well"

I nodded and said, "they'll probably keep paths open for Atalanta as well or throw her at us, she is exceptional in hand to hand so I'll be counting on you to take her down"

Gabby nodded and said, "lastly the dumbster fire, how the hell did you kick his ass last time?"

"I froze him with Boreas and gouged out his eye with my claws, I doubt that strategy will work a second time" I said looking at his pictures.

"didn't you say you can take away the air to make blades?" Gabby said.

I nodded and said, "yeah so?"

"well, what if we just took away the air, and made thousands of smaller blades?" Gabby said.

I shook my head but that gave me an idea. Tartarus and my own arms have asphyxiant gas sticky darts if I manage to stick one on Endeavor it will kill his fire and cut off all Oxygen to his head, hell even if he adds more fire he will just feed the gas more and stop his breathing faster.

I shared my idea with Gabby and she gave me the thumbs up to the idea.

"and if push comes to shove, we can just rely on my Zabaniyas to kill them all" I chuckled.

Gabby slapped me and said, "no killing them!"

"I make no promises" I cackled.

Gabby looked at the full layout and said, "so where do you think the gate is?"

I shook my head and said, "I don't think it's a gate, more like an elevator" I pointed at the building in the center of the entire maze of Skyscrapers.

"this looks exactly like a perfect point to put the exit gate, however I will start the match by using this" I said, before pulling out a small drone designed to look like a flying spider.

"this is a small drone I made called Arachne, we'll use it to Recon the area and figure out where the exit gate is" I said,

Gabby smirked and said, "smart move Jango!"

I nodded and said, "in case shit hits the fan…Plan B will be me taking care of Endeavor and All Might while you rush to the gate, and pass"

"but that means you wont go to the training camp!" Gabby said.

I smirked and said, "well I'll just take up some assassin contracts and bulk up that way"

Soon as we had our plans, it was time for us to do our Practical, it was our time to fight.
