"Jesus Christ."
Bruce Wayne sat back in his chair, taking in what he had just discovered. If all his research was correct… then this could spell complete doom for two universes, one his own. There was no way- but however much he checked, there was one undeniable spelled-out fact in front of him.
Two universes were colliding.
As he surveyed the Bat-Computer, the AI system he built known as Brother Eye flashed a hacking alert across the screen.
"Victor, if this is another one of your pranks, I swear-"
"Worry not, Mr. Wayne. This is not a 'prank'. Doom is here to inform you of something I'm sure the World's Greatest Detective already knows." The voice was smooth yet robotic, as if a piece of metal was placed over the person's mouth.
"Hmph… just who the hell are you?" Bruce huffed, as static violently assaulted his screen, before dispersing to reveal a man in a green cloak and hood, wearing silver armor underneath. His eyes were mostly shrouded by shadows cast by his hood, though two glowing lime green eyes glinted through.
"Sovereign of Latveria. Victor Von Doom, though you may call me Doom."
"And why are you contacting me?"
"Doom knows of these universes merging and Doom wishes to put a stop to it… for it would greatly harm Latveria."
"Uh-huh."
"I am contacting you from one of the universes that will collide. I understand yours is the other." Doom said.
"How?" Bruce was confused. If he was, indeed from another universe- then he shouldn't be contacting him.
"Hmm. It would seem that the universes are closer to merging than you thought. Expect my arrival in your universe within a month." Doom stood up and approached the camera, before switching it off, leaving Bruce with too many questions.
But he knew someone who could answer them all.
Pulling out a small device, the screen flashed with a yellow lightning bolt on a red background.
