Kento awoke to the smell of Cye's cooking. He grinned when he could detect the scent of bacon and pancakes. Kento was eager to get out of bed and charge into the kitchen. But he thought he'd better wait until Kaye woke up first. He looked down at her when he heard Kaye stir. "Morning."

Kaye looked up towards him with tired eyes, "Morning, what time is it?"

Kento glanced at the clock and back at her, "Nine. Cye has breakfast already made. I can smell it from here."

She closed her eyes and smiled a bit when she picked up on the scent of breakfast. Kaye opened her eyes and moved off of him. "If you want to go ahead, then it's alright."

He studied her. Kento could tell she was still bothered by what Talia told Kaye in her dream last night. He looked at her in concern, "Are you sure? I can wait."

Kaye gave him a small smile, "I'm sure. I'm going to change anyway, and I. Um..." She felt herself blush a bit.

Kento chuckled as he got the hint, "Right, I'm going to change too, then I'll go down. See you in the kitchen." He climbed out of her bed and waved as he shut her door behind him. Kento hurried to his room and changed. It didn't take long for him to make his way downstairs. "Hey! You guys save me any?"

Cye glanced up when he saw Kento enter the kitchen. "Yes, we saved you and Kaye some. Where is my sister anyway?"

Kento got his plate and gathered what he wanted, and sat down. "Kaye said she'll be down in a bit. She's changing."

Cye nodded and turned his attention towards a window as he and stared towards the backyard.

Sage looked over at Kento, "We were talking about the talisman and Talia. We're trying to figure out how everything ties together."

Kento kept his sight on the food in front of him, but he slowed down a bit. A frown creased his brow as he sat back in his chair.

"Kento? What's wrong," Ryo inquired as he looked over at him.

Cye heard Ryo addressing Kento and turned his attention towards them. 'Did Kaye talk to him about what happened in her dream last night?'

Sage and Rowen glanced at one another in slight confusion. They turned their attention towards him. "Kento?"

The orange Ronin put his silverware down, "It isn't my place to say. But what I can tell you is Kaye had something revealed to her in her dream last night."

"Is she alright," Cye asked in concern.

Kento looked up, "She's a bit shaken by what she found out. But I think she'll be ok with time."

Cye bit his lip when he was in deep thought, 'How much time do we even have before Damiana takes me over completely? How long will it take for Kaye to regenerate her wings if she gives Talia her consent?'

Upstairs, Kaye stood in front of her mirror and studied the scars on her shoulder blades. Yes, it would have been a bit awkward for them to be in the same room together when they'd be changing. They weren't so far into their bond to hit what goes with being together until later in their relationship. They agreed to wait. Plus, she wasn't ready to have Kento or anyone else witness her scars. 'Maybe I should allow Talia to regenerate my wings. But with my mental blocker, they put in my head, would I want to know what my old life was before I met the guys? I don't know. I'm having a hard enough time dealing with what we've been through already.' Kaye sighed and finished changing. She collected herself and headed down the stairs. On the way down, she could hear them talking.

"Morning," Kaye greeted as she entered the kitchen.

The guys looked over towards her, "Morning, are you hungry?" Ryo asked when he watched her stand between Cye and Kento.

Kaye saw Kento starting to stand as she laid her hand on his forearm, "I can get it," She lifted her hand and picked up her plate. Kaye picked out what she wanted and joined them at the table. She started to eat, but tension continue to build in the room. The Nephilim glanced at Kento and sighed a bit, "You told them?"

Kento shook his head," Not all of it, only you had something told you in your dream. I swear."

"It's true, Kaye. Kento didn't tell us much about what happened in your dream." Cye vouched for him.

Kaye waited a bit and nodded, "Alright, Talia visited me in my dream last night. She asked me if I would give her consent about what she needed to do to regenerate my wings. I told her I haven't made up my mind yet. Then she explained why I don't have my memories of what happened in my life before meeting you guys. She and the council put a memory blocker in my head. It's the reason why I don't remember anything. Talia was vague on their reasons for why they implanted it."

Kento reached over and grabbed her hand. He squeezed it for support.

Kaye gave a small smile to him and squeezed his hand back.

Cye bit his lip as he wrestled with his decision. He glanced around the table, 'Here goes.'

Rowen frowned a bit when he noticed Cye was about to say something.

"Last night, Rowen, I'm sorry, but I lied to you for the reason I yelled in the bathroom. For a while now, I've been feeling different. I wasn't sure about it. Then something happened. I have a demon queen's energy growing inside me. I don't know how or when it happened. But she confessed to me everything. It was hard to believe what she said to be true. But then I summoned Talia, and she confirmed what this demon queen told me. The entire thing with the Jade Thorns, Kento, Kaye, us. I didn't want to believe it, but I could see all of it is true." Cye started to explain as he looked down at the table.

The guys and Kaye were trying to wrap their heads around what Cye told them. It was too crazy not to be true. With everything happening so far, it made sense. They turned their attention back to him.

Kento frowned as he remembered when he saw Cye's eyes turn red for a short time. 'Makes sense now.'

"There's more. Talia told me Damiana wanted Sana to cut off Kaye's wings. Because when she's in her entire Nephilim form, Kaye can keep Damiana's powers at bay. It's why Talia is in such a hurry for you to make your decision Kaye to save me from Damiana having total control over me."

Kaye looked at Cye in concern, "I'll give Talia my consent."

Cye looked at his sister with a slight frown, "Are you sure? You've suffered enough already. You don't need to give Talia your consent. We can find another way..."

"You're my brother Cye. There's no need for me to think anything over. I'll let Talia regenerate my wings." Kaye responded.

"But..." Cye started to object.

Kaye shook her head, "I'm not going to lose my brother to some demon. You and the others would do the same thing for me if the roles reversed. I'd do anything for any of you."

"What about this memory blocker Talia and the council put in your head," Ryo asked in concern.

Kaye turned her attention towards him, "I don't know."

"Talia said the blocker if broken, would either bring all of your memories flooding back to you, and it would overwhelm you. Or, you might remember bits and pieces. It's hard to tell for sure which way."

"I see," Kaye replied with a quiet tone.

Cye could see his sister was a little upset by what he said, "But Kaye, Talia also said she might not have to deal with the memory blocker at all. She'll be able to leave it in place."

Kento frowned a bit when he looked at him, "Talia told you way more than your sister last night, Cye. Why was she so open with you? But vague with Kaye? Especially since she's also a Nephilim."

He shook his head, "I have no idea Kento."

Sage studied the room. He could feel the tension kicking in a bit more, "Here's an idea. Why don't we summon Talia right now? Then we'll get our questions answered when we're all together."

Rowen nodded, "Sounds like a plan to me."

"Cye, do you still have the talisman," Ryo asked when he looked over towards him.

Cye stood and reached into his pocket as he pulled it out. His eyes phased red as he clutched his head when he felt it starting to pound again. "She's. Trying to stop. Ahhhh!"

"Cye," Kaye exclaimed as she faced her brother directly. She tried to lock her eyes with his. When she did, Kaye could see Damiana's eyes locking in with hers.

"Nephilim,' Damiana hissed using Cye's voice. "You should have died."

Kaye paled when she coiled back from her brother, "Cye. Please."

Kento got a hold of Kaye and pulled her away from him as he glared at his best friend, "Why have you chosen Cye to take over?"

His eyes stayed red, the sheer face of Damiana shadowed over Cye's face, "I needed someone with power and a pure heart. I couldn't take over the Nephilim. We are mortal enemies. If whoever I inhabit invokes my full power before the Nephilim, then I will be able to weaken her. But if she can power up as a full Nephilim before I, then she will be able to cripple me. So I can not allow the Nephilim to regenerate her wings." Cye grabbed the amulet with both hands and started to make it crack. "I won't permit you to summon Talia!"

Ryo rose to his feet and dove across the table. He tackled Cye to the ground as he knocked the amulet loose from his hands. "Get the talisman!" Ryo and Cye continued to grapple around on the floor.

Rowen barreled to his feet and scooped up the talisman. He shoved it into his pocket and whirled around as he faced the two on the ground.

Ryo struggled to keep his hold on Cye, "All of you! Get out of here now! I'll hold him as long as I can!"

"Ryo," Sage shouted at him.

"Go! Now," Ryo shouted back.

"Cye! Please, fight back," Kaye called out to her brother.

Rowen studied Ryo's eyes. He nodded and then turned to the others, "Ryo's right. We need to go right now!" Rowen whirled around and raced out the back door. He glanced back and saw followed right behind him. Rowen then saw Kento as he pulled Kaye with him. As soon as the last of them were outside, all the doors and windows had barriers around them.

Ryo let go of Cye and rose to his feet. He kept his eyes on him. "Leave my friend, demon."

Damiana laughed, "You have no power over me, mortal. True, you may have mystical armor, but still, your armor does not affect me. But I can hurt you since water and fire are opposites." Cye's eyes intensified as he willed the water in the manor to start filling. "With the two of us sealed inside, who do you think will last longer? Me or you?"

Ryo narrowed his eyes as he noticed the water rose higher at a faster rate. "Come on, Cye! You're stronger than this two-bit demon! Don't you dare let her win!"

Cye was struggling against the hold Damiana had over him. 'No! I don't want to hurt Ryo! Stop it now! He's my friend!'

'Friends? Family? They're nothing but a disappointment. All they do is let you down when you need them the most. He's turning on you. Why can't you see it? The others will turn on you too. So will your sister.'

Cye shook his head as he continued to clutch it, 'You're wrong! They won't turn on me! You're the one who is trying to hurt Ryo, not me!'

Damiana laughed, 'It isn't my power filling this place. It's yours. I'm only providing the extra boost you need to get the job done. Allow me to give you more power!'

'No! I refuse!' Cye's eyes phased between red and blue as he continued to fight for control.

"We need to do something," Kento exclaimed as he held Kaye to him to keep her from charging the manor.

Rowen reached in and pulled the talisman out of his pocket. He handed it to her, "Kaye, summon Talia. It's the only way we can help Cye and Ryo."

Kaye took the amulet. She looked towards the manor and saw the water was halfway up already. If Kaye didn't do this, Ryo was going to be in extreme trouble. She fixed her concentration on the amulet, "Talia! Please! Come to us!"

Within moments, Talia showed herself to them. She looked towards the manor and was surprised, "Oh, my, "Talia turned around and faced Kaye. "Do you?"

"I give my consent! Regenerate my wings, hurry," Kaye pleaded as she looked at her.

Talia nodded. She looked at Kento, "Have her turn around and face you. I need to have access to her back. Then I can apply the angelic runes."

Kaye turned around as she faced Kento. She closed her eyes tight as she laid her head upon his chest. Kaye felt his arms go around her.

Talia moved the back of Kaye's shirt up and over, so the wounds on her shoulder blades would be visible. "This will be painful," She saw a nod and then proceeded as she reached forward and started to trace the rune for angel directly upon both scars.

Kaye felt the burning sensation through her shoulder blades. The pain is as intense as when she had her wings severed. Kaye tried her best to hold back her screams of pain. As Talia went farther and quicker with both runes, the more pain radiated through, and she screamed.

Talia finished and backed away from the two of them, "The application is complete. Kaye will be in the process of regenerating her wings. It will take time before they are at their entire capacity. But she can now have access to her Nephilim powers. The angelic runes on her shoulder blades for eternity will be engraved. To the average person, the runes will look like regular tattoos."

Sage frowned as he turned his attention to Talia, "What about Ryo and Cye?"

Talia turned around and saw the water starting to go away. "It seems your friend Cye is putting up a good fight on his own. But also the regenerating of Kaye's wings was done in time."

Kento was consoling Kaye as he continued to hold her in his arms.

Rowen glanced at them, and then he looked inside the manor. He saw Talia was right, Cye was putting up a fight, and the water was draining. He saw the barrier vanish when Cye dropped to the ground from exhaustion.

Ryo raced to Cye's side and knelt next to him. The red Ronin checked to see how he's recuperating from the short-term possession.
