"We are laughing at Amelia" Carina finally answered when she had stopped laughing and calmed down enough to talk again.
"What has she done this time then?" Teddy asked as she sat down at the table, already expecting this to be funny.
"This isn't going to go well for me is it?" said Amelia as she started to get comfortable knowing already that she was about to get ripped into.
"No it is not" Stated Carina before she thought about how best to tell this latest Amelia gaff to Teddy.
"This sounds like it's going to be fun, and I thought that this day was going to be boring" now Teddy really needed to know what happened.
"Amelia, our friend here asked out Maya" Carina might even have been smiling when she told Teddy. How was she smiling right now? Shouldn't the Italian be pissed off right about now with Amelia?
"HEY, HEY, HEY. That's not fair" exclaimed Amelia. Why was she sticking around for this story again? Oh yeah she wanted food and she did just admit to that.
"Sorry Amelia ACCIDENTALLY asked Maya out"
"Thank you, you have to at least tell it right to our fellow doctors" the last thing that Amelia wanted was for rumor to go round that she was trying to steal the OBGYNs girl, she already had too many rumors go round about her over the years.
"How did you ACCIDENTALLY as you put it Amelia; ask out Maya?" Teddy asked as she herself started to eat her food before she got called back to a patient.
"That is what I said" Exclaimed Carina, she was enjoying winding Amelia up and definitely enjoyed brining Teddy in as well.
"So how did this come about and you do know Amelia that your still with Link right. Or do you have something to tell us?" Teddy had seen on Carinas face that she wouldn't mind this topic. And knowing Amelia this story was going to be around the hospital for years to come.
"Also do you even like women in that way?" Teddy asked having never heard Amelia talking about woman in that way.
"Why, it doesn't matter right now if I like women or not I didn't actually ask Maya out. And just for your information I have been with women" why suddenly was everyone asking that?
"Wait do you know what that means then. We're a table of women that love both women and men" Teddy stated after Amelia had finished.
"Wait you've never told me you've been with women before?" stated Amelia. How did she not know this?
"Yes I've been in love with a woman. But that's a story for another time right now you two are meant to be telling me about how you tried to get with Maya"
moving them off of herself. She loved Allison but right now was really not the time for that. She still struggled to think about her and not cry and crying in the middle of the canteen was the last thing Teddy wanted to do.
"Look on I'll tell you want happened otherwise you'll never stop bugging me, will you?" Why did she ever tell Carina to start off with, she will never know.
"We will never stop bugging you anyway" Carina answered with a smirk really, she was never going to forget to wind Amelia up about this.
"FINE, you win. OK so the scan room was blocked OK so I asked the fiery fire captain if they could help. And they did. her and her team of three other fire fighters moved the other machine and boxes before I could even think and such, I believe I said I should buy you a drink. OK I just meant it as a thank you. But she took it the wrong way and thought I meant it as a date. Which she told me. She had a girlfriend and I said the girlfriend was lucky and I had a boyfriend too before I literally ran to the canteen. OK. You now know the story and with that I'm going"
and just as fast as she had come into the canteen Amelia had gone again how had she said that many words in that many seconds. Wow.
"Wow. OK, that was a lot, but also that was definitely an Amelia story, are you really OK with Amelia basically asking out your girlfriend?" she had never seen the other woman act so calm about her girlfriend before.
"I mean if Maya had said yes then we would be having words. But she did not, and it is Amelia. Anyway, I need you to check on a patient". Remembering now that she was going to look for the surgeon when she had finished her coffee.
"Well, I'm free now and I've just finished my food so lead the way" Teddy state as she got out of her seat following the fellow doctor out of the canteen.

The case had been a simple one of checking the patient over; seeing no immediate worry. She set up a monitor and a resident to watch the patient and ensure the heart didn't change.
Which now left the doctor walking back to the other side of the hospital.
Cutting through the atrium saving the doctor five minutes as she was making it back to the cardiovascular ward.
Making her way up the stair she spotted the woman of the hour at the top.
"So, I hear that you were propositioned by the head of neuro" stated Teddy with a grin on her face as she took the last step of the stairs to be standing at the top facing one Maya Bishop.
"So, you've already heard about that then?" why was Maya even questioning it, gossip seemed to get around this building faster than the doctors did.
"Does that mean that Carina already knows then?" not knowing if she would find it funny or not.
Starting to walk off to the side to be overlooking everything and to keep an eye on her team while talking to the doctor.
"Yes and Yes" Stated Teddy as she followed said fire captain to the side avoiding the people milling around the hospital.
"And before you ask Carina saw the humor in it, when she was told by Amelia herself"
"Amelia admitted to Carina to basically asking me out or asking me for drinking?" Needing to know if she needed to clarify anything to her girlfriend, the last thing she needed was a mad Italian on her hands.
"Both really, thinking about it" having fun now winding the other woman up.
"WHAT DOES THAT MEAN, DOES CARINA THINK THAT HER FRIEND ASKED ME OUT?" maybe she should just phone her girlfriend and ask her.
Teddy couldn't help herself and for the second time today she started to laugh at the same story which she was not meant to be telling.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh it was just your face there it was utter panic and Carina was laughing about it not twenty minutes ago".
Breathing out "Sorry Maya, also good afternoon; how is your firefighter doing now?" seeing the looking on her face "Oh, I'm Teddy, we never have actually been introduced" Teddy stuck out her hand, never forgetting her army training.
Taking the hand that was offered, giving it a quick shake before letting her hand go again, the last thing she needed would be more rumors spread about her; she knew what this hospital was like. And most likely by the end of the day the whole hospital would know about Amelia asking her out, she would be surprised if her fire fighters didn't already know.
"Teddy, its nice to see you again, at least I'm not begging this time. And we're still waiting for news on Roberts but apparently, he's stable" she had heard a lot about the woman that was in front of her, but most likely this woman had also heard a lot about her.
She should defiantly get to know this woman with how much they both knew about one another.
"You know it just hit me that we both know about the other from Carina" they should really see what the other woman knows about the other.
"So what your saying is: that we have to gang up on Carina or just get to know one another?" Stated Teddy needing to know where the other was going.
"Well getting to know each other would be good then I would have someone in this hospital that wouldn't hit on Carina and me". really it was insane how many people still hit on her girlfriend even though they now knew that she was taken.
"its almost like you don't like people flirting with Doctor orgasm or firefighter barbie" teddy stated with a smirk, still finding both nicknames for the women funny.
"God, I hate both of those nicknames, especially Carina's it just diminishes her work". It didn't bother her the names that people gave her, having had far too many people throw insults at her over her life. But Carina had worked hard to get to where she is today and didn't deserve it being turned into a joke.
"I take it that you don't like the Doctor orgasm name then? That makes three of us but the interns and residents make up names every year and think that we don't know about them". Said Teddy thinking of all the different names she had heard for all the different doctors over the years.
"And if I'm being honest most of them are very unimaginative" really, they did need to come up with some better ones.
"What so their boring names so you just let them go?" not understanding why they would just put up with that, she wouldn't in her fire house, then again they had to live with each other the doctors did not.
"I mean they already get all the worst jobs, and you know have too do everything we say, I think we can put up with a few names from them" finding that she really didn't mind what they called them.
"Anyway, that is enough about the interns, your right its weird talking to you, due to how much Carina has told me about you". Really Teddy had heard so much about this woman, after Carina had come to her after anything Jack had said or done. It felt that she was the other doctor's confidant by this point, meaning that she really didn't known wat to say to the other woman.
"Your right it kind of does". Maya said as she looked over the atrium where all the firefighters were still milling around, seeing that no one had killed anyone else she turned back to the doctor.
"Sorry, everything is a little tense, and they all seem to want to fight one another at any given moment, I'm surprised that Bailey hasn't kicked us all out"
"I'm surprised that Bailey hasn't killed you lot out two, Ive seen her throw out our own doctors". Really the best thing that anyone could do was run when they had pissed off Bailey.
"Nothing I heard about that woman surprises me anymore" smirking as she thought about the last time she saw said doctor.
"Anyway I have to get back to my patients, but me and you should get a drink sometime, to share story about Carina. You know as it would only be fair" As Teddy started to walk backwards away from the fire fighter.
Well aware that she needed to get back to her ward.
"Sounds like a plan, I'll get your number from Carina" Maya called back already knowing she needed to go check on her fire fighters again.
Started to move back off towards them when she bumped into Vic.
"Hey up Cap, being asked out by more doctors?" great her team already heard about it.
