CONGRATULATIONSJason00! Well, not all the time. He'd only run there if he really wanted to see Sue :)
NOTE: Again, have no idea what the FBI's doing in terms of how they're working (lots of stuff is really wishy washy now. I can't keep track anymore!). But I need it this way to work my story!
?-?
"Wow!" Carla exclaimed as she, Sue, Jack and his family walked into the area of the park that was being transformed into party area. "This is amazing!"
"You like it?" Mya asked, pausing in her work to assess it. "It does look pretty good."
"Pretty good? This is amazing!" Sue exclaimed.
"I had some amazing help." She replied, lovingly looking at her sister and fiancé.
"Some amazing help that didn't exactly want to help." Josh added.
She glared at him. "Admit it; it looks pretty good."
He nodded. "Yes, it does."
"Hello! Wow!" A voice said from behind Sue and the crew. Hearing the voice, everyone turned.
"Enrico! So great to see you!" Sue exclaimed, seeing who had arrived when she saw everyone was looking behind her.
"When you said it was going to be in a park, I never imagined a park could look so good!" He said, looking around.
"Thank you!" Mya replied. "Here, the food goes over there." She said, pointing to a table on the other end of the area.
"Is that," Connie whispered to her son.
"Enrico Cattalini? Yep." Jack replied, a satisfied smile on his face.
"How do you know him?" She asked in awe.
He shrugged. "We solved a case that involved him. When he heard that the caterers cancelled on us, he volunteered his services." He replied nonchalantly.
"Wow." She whispered, in awe.
Seeing Jack when he turned around to get another load from his truck, he mouthed a 'thank you', then continued on with his task.
"I feel like dancing beneath these lights!" Carla exclaimed as she pulled Bob onto the little makeshift dance floor that had little twinkly lights overhead.
"It's not even 4! It's still light out, you can't see the lights!" Bob complained as they danced. "Also, there's no music!"
She turned to Mya. "You can fix that problem, can't you?"
Mya laughed. "About the music, yes. The sun not so much. I think that is God's jurisdiction."
Everyone laughed as Mya turned on some romantic music for the couple to dance to.
"Come on Sunny and Barky, let's see what food we can steal!" Sue said as she led the two dogs on their leashes to the food table, particularly looking for something sweet. "Ooh! This looks good!" She exclaimed, picking a cake pop that was white chocolate and had pearl nonpareils on it. "This is almost too beautiful to eat!"
"It's bride and groom cake pops." Enrico explained to Sue's back. When he didn't get a response, he shook his head then touched her shoulder and repeated the sentence. "White chocolate are the brides, dark chocolate the grooms." He added.
"Ooh, a groom for me!" Mya exclaimed, hearing him and taking a dark chocolate groom.
Sue laughed, then the two brides took a bite out of the cake pop. Tasting how good they were, they both looked at each other with wide eyes.
"Thet ar anathing!" Mya exclaimed, food still in her mouth. "They taste so much better than my groom." She added when she swallowed.
"Hey!" Josh complained.
She smiled at him over her shoulder. "Sorry, hon, but I don't think you'd be very tasty if I took a bite out of you."
He frowned at her. "I don't know how I feel about that comment."
She chuckled , going back to her cake pop.
Enrico satisfactorily smiled, then went back to get more food.
"Hey," Mya said, waving for Sue's attention when they finished their cake pops. Sue raised her eyebrows in reply. "I heard a rumor that you guys are coming back to the building when we get back from our honeymoons."
Sue smiled widely, a bit of chocolate on her lips. "It's no rumor. That's why I've had so many in-person meetings lately. We're getting a room up on the 5th floor, but," she whispered, putting her index finger over her lips. "Don't tell anyone. I want it to be a surprise so it's our secret, OK?"
Mya smiled widely and nodded, pretending to zip up her lips and throw away the key.
Sue smiled as well. "THANK YOU."
The two brides and grooms and their families intermingled, had fun and enjoyed their time together as they finished setting up, but soon it was getting near 4, so all the party participants slowly started to arrive, the party really kicking into full gear. A little bit past 4, a woman ran into the party straight for Sue, screaming in excitement.
"Lucy!" Sue exclaimed, seeing the movement to find her friend.
"Isn't this amazing?" Lucy exclaimed, her family slowly following behind.
Sue smiled. "Yes, of course! And you being here is even more amazing!"
"Didn't you know I wouldn't miss this for the world?" She replied, shaking her head.
Sue smiled. "Yes, of course. Thank you so much for all the work you've put into this from home!"
She hugged her friend, then answered. "Anything for you and Jack. I've been waiting to do this for you for so long, I had this all planned so long ago!"
The two friends laughed. "Thank you just the same."
"Wow." Lucy said, looking around. "It did come out amazing." She said, then turned back to her friend. "Now, let's get this party stared!"
