Chapter three: a short or not so short demonstration of godly power

Mr. sinister was a scientist, a researcher, a pioneer and a visionary.
He was a patient man a man who knew how to push boundaries. And he was having a field day.
He eyed Derrick the moment that his side got gashed in the moment Scott punched him and broke his hand, and the moment that he grew adamantium claws, an indestructible metal from his own body.
He knew he and hank McCoy aka beast would have to study it. Well maybe more than hank but that might be just him as he watched with some excitement.
Perhaps some friends in SWORD would be willing to help.

"So, are you going to keep fighting or what"? Derrick asked Laura.
Laura just genuinely stood there baffled at what she had just witnessed happen when she stabbed him with her claws. Just feeling it gave her the willies.
What were the implications of his anatomy? What was he made of?
"Come on Laura, think, there must be a way to beat him"! She screamed in her head.
Tick, tock, tick, tock noises were being heard from derricks end with his tongue.
Kitty pride glared at his attitude on the sidelines along with several others.
"Just have to find a weak point"! She thought.
"I guess I just have to keep cutting then".
"Okay look", derrick said as he put his left hand over his eyes.
That really ticked everyone off especially logan and Scott.
Then he put his right hand behind his back.
That pissed professor Xavier off.
Then he turned around.
That was the final straw!
With a scream of frustration Laura ran forward with both claws outstretched. Nearly losing it.
Only this time he stood still.
The left claws slashed at his back while the ones on the right were lodged into his neck, sticking out the other side.
Same thing happened as before.
She slashed with both clawed hands at his lower side.
Same effect.
She slashed down his legs down to his ankles.
Same damn thing!
This continued into 10 minutes until she had enough.
She slashed with all her might on his neck, one last time.
His head fell off landing on the ground.
Everyone froze, while Kurt held his cross in hand while pixie felt like puking, even legion found all his personalities were bamboozled by this.
…
"Wow you made great progress" … derricks head said as his body picked up the appendage and positioned it back onto his neck where it healed a second later.
"What to soon"?
Once again there was silence then derrick said. "My turn gorgeous "Just so we're clear I'm going to hold back!
He lowered his arm down before punching her in the gut, and man was it a punch. It was so strong that it sent x-23 through the roof of the room and through the next one then finally the next one. Once she was able to look down, she noticed that she was a good 20 or 30 feet off of the roof of the building that was supported by plant life and headed towards the water on the edge of their island nation.
Then it struck her almost as hard as the punch did, "he was going easy on me…this whole time he was holding back…"
Then she was caught by none other than the veteran member of the x men storm in mid flight who proceeded to set her down gently on the grass.
"Holy shit", "Are you alright Laura"! Storm practically screamed.
Laura was coughing and wheezing for a moment until her healing factor kicked in.
"I just got punched several stories how do you think I feel". She gasped out as she looked up at nightcrawler and pixie who teleported towards her as she heard screaming from logan or Scott in the building behind them. Obviously, they were giving derrick a mouthful.
"Wait, did he call me gorgeous"? She asked no one in particular. As she looked up at storm.
"Yeah, I think he did". Pixie replied.

Later in with the quiet council
…
"FIRST F(&!#G DAY"! Logan practically screamed at the quiet council as they argued with him and each other.
"Logan, we didn't know it would escalate so quickly". Emma frost replied with some irritation of her own voice at what transpired.
"You know that's not enough"! "He's clearly an unstable bub and unhinged with reality"!
"For once I agree", Scott said. As he didn't like the way derrick insulted and humiliated him in front of the council.
"He's been put in a room for the time being but what would you have us do"." We've already moved him here. And we still don't know that much about him. Emma responded".
"Well one thing is for sure", Kurt said as he entered the picture. we haven't been very forthcoming to him, treating him like a freak"! He raised his voice in frustration. Finally, Charles slammed his fists down on the table startling everyone.
"Enough"! "I understand something needs to be done and its his first day here"! "So, if you have any opinions, I'm open to them".
"…anyone…"? Xavier asked again.
"Well, I could talk to him". Jean grey responded on the side, "put him in counselling sessions". And ask for his permission to enter his mind to see how we can help him".
Everyone thought about that for a moment, "those in favor". Xavier asked.
Everyone slowly raised their hands except for logan who didn't have a real say in the matter but this could work if they play their cards carefully.
"It's decided then". "We will put him in counselling with jean grey as his physiatrist".
