The next day after a long night of repairs and the quiet council was briefed on Derrick and Logans fight. And what he showed Jean Grey during his counseling session.
"To the first issue and why we are all here". "…We need to have a serious talk about what to do with Derrick and his behavior, given recent events". Emma Frost said aloud in the quiet council chamber with some others who were present during his previous rage and the fight he had with Laura, who was also in the room next to a somewhat calmer logan.
Which he had to admit that he had a damaged sense of pride since he couldn't even fight back against derrick in the least and was tossed around like a rag doll and made it look easy while doing it. However, he couldn't help but admit that someone got the better of him and that impressed him…or it just creeped him out. "…Or its both". He admitted in his head, which made him respect that individual a bit more if not completely.
Jean had an irritated look on her face as she stood in front of the quiet council since this was coming up again. Especially after what she saw in his head. Xavier had a similar look, heck he's the one who found him in the first place so he felt he bared some of the responsibility for recent events.
"First off it bears me some pain to admit that he's not interested in socializing with anyone, which puts the possibility of a compromise out the window and it's probably best we avoid him if he's not looking for a fight for the time being to avoid further conflict". She stated.
Jean felt herself getting angry at this. As well as Kurt who was hurt by her words since Derrick was open with him when he first met the veteran member of the X-men. "Crazy, but open, and honest". He thought to himself as he remembered the last meeting they had where he stood up for Derrick.
Ones like Wanda, Polaris, and surprisingly Scott and Laura given what they recently learned were feeling slightly ashamed of their recent behavior since the last time they met. Especially Laura who actively tried to fight him which only seemed to make the situation worse, and Scott for punching him and then not showing up to the arena when he probably should have. Scott rubbed his freshly healed hand realizing that Derrick was the one with the most self-control out of both of them.
Regardless, they didn't respond for the time being as Emma continued to speak.
"Furthermore, it was only his third day here and already we have had three separate incidents, one of which happened in this very room"! She said with some authority in her voice while looking at Scott, who met her stare with his own while having a neutral expression on his face.
Pixie was looking uncomfortable with the whole situation as she shifted next to Kurt.
Rogue and Kitty Pride were having neutral expressions on their faces as they listened, not knowing what the correct answer was. So, they stayed quiet for now.
"While I admit there has been some progress made between Jean and Derricks counseling session considering you are the only one who he's opened up to so far which is a good sign". Emma said as she looked over at Jean Grey who was downright angry now! "Mabey it's time we gained a fresh perspective, so if you wish to speak lets here it".
"I thought you would never ask". Mr. sinister spoke up.
Everyone who knew him flinched except for Emma who kept a calm composer. Especially Logan, Laura, Kitty, Rogue, Charles, Kurt, Polaris and finally Jean who was getting more enraged by the moment.
"I have been watching this, subject, for quite some time, and its truly fascinating". Emphasizing the subject part as he did. Which ticked the former ones off even more.
"Please tell me he's not going to say what I think he's going to say"! Jean shouted in her mind.
"That being said it wouldn't be in our best interests to be unprepared so why don't we see about getting a sample of one of those tendrils that are inside of him and see how it works". Mr. sinister said leaving stunned silence from almost all of them.
After a moment Emma spoke. "I can see the logic in that". "All those who are in favor".
Everyone but Xavier lifted their hands including the shadow king, and the other various official members of the council.
"Then its decided". Emma said with a sigh of relief," tomorrow Jean Grey will ask Derrick for a sample of his, she hesitated, trying to find the right word, appendages". She finished making it as least awkward as possible.
It was then Jean finally had to say something.
"I can't believe this"! Jean snapped at Emma Frost and Mr. sinister which startled everyone except for Charles who was glaring at Mr. Sinister as well who had a smile on his face.
Emma met an ice-cold glare of jean grey with her own.
"Believe it". Emma Frost replied simply, "as much as it pains me to admit this is the council's final decision". "The Votes have been cast". "And quite frankly", she continued, "he has had three days to turn his attitude around and he hasn't". "Also, you are not part of the quiet council". Leaving Jean Grey in stunned silence with a bit of a sting.
"If it makes you feel any better", Mr. Sinister said. "We can always bring him back if he needs to be put down". "If we vote yes that is".
At this Jean turned around and stormed out, followed by Kurt, Pixie, Polaris, Scott and Surprisingly Laura who felt a ping of regret in her for being so mean to him.
While Storm who voted yes couldn't help but feel the damage she just caused as she looked down in slight regret. And logan just turned around and headed to the bar while mumbling something like, "bastards", while shaking his head in sorrow thinking how they ever hoped to control something like "him", as he remembered the pounding that Derrick gave him yesterday.
Kitty and Rogue looked at each other wondering how this was all going to end and hoping Derrick would listen to Jean tomorrow.
