THIS IS THE SECOND CHAPTER I'M POSTING TODAY. DON'T MISS THE FIRST ONE

Chapter Six:

Fifty Years Later:

When she'd first come across the tower, it had been accompanied by a surge of pain in her chest that rendered her useless for a week, spending the time on the floor staring at the dark ceiling as she lay among piles of shattered glass. Now, she used the space as a conduit for the voices and visions that plagued her head.

When she could pull herself out of the ball on the floor and pick up a brush with trembling, she drew armies descending on helpless villages, mothers sobbing as their children were hauled away into battle, and flashes of her own memories.

She felt others pain - that had become clear after a few years - but the memories were her own. She even painted them differently (before she ripped them to shreds with her nails). Those pictures were full of brightness and hope.

She tore her eyes away from the muddied image towards the window, where a crack in the crude curtain let a stream of sunlight cut through. Just looking at it made her eyes burn. She was briefly reminded of another memory, but it was cut off by a loud sound - almost like cracking ice - and screams. Within the minutes, her limbs had started to go numb as she felt an entire village be frozen in place, the frostbite setting in as it carved icy burns up their bodies.

She seized again, and went back to shaking on the ground.

Jack couldn't really remember what the village had done to him. What misdoing had happened, what had warranted his revenge. Either way, he didn't really care.

Swinging his staff lazily and sending blasts of ice in random directions as he stormed down main street, Jack couldn't help but smile as more people screamed.

"THIS IS MY TERRITORY NOW!" He yelled. The crowd nodded furiously, terrified as both snow monsters and fearlings corralled them together. Jack scanned over the villager. Most were skinny from the harsh winter - a result of his bad mood - and almost none would make good spies or foot soldiers. Jack rolled his eyes, huffed angrily. A few new icicles started forming on his shoulders.

"The Frost King!" A hushed whisper cut through the tension, and Jack almost smiled.

"Release them," Jack finally said, waving a hand to dismiss the fearlings. Conjuring a burst of wind, Jack launched himself into the air and onto the top of the town's highest building. The villagers looked at him nervously, but the spirit waved his hand again.

"Go about your business," He muttered, reclining back and balancing the staff on his knees. "If you have any to do,"

This town - Felderwyn - was tiny. It was built at the edge of the mountains that led into Dunbroch, and was probably part of the kingdom. But to Jack, it was the edge of his mortal enemies territory. He didn't want, didn't need, the town. He had no use for it. Jack just wanted to destroy the Bear Queen and have his full run of the kingdoms.

In the fifty years since he'd left that mysterious, magically hidden glade, Jack had only gotten colder. His eyes stayed a permanent dead looking shade of golden yellow, the only life behind them anger when his plans were interfered with. His hair might have been unruly once, but now, it warped into deadly looking grey spikes - crusted with frost and ice. He wore an elegant suit and cloak, although it did nothing against the cold, but despite the frostbite that appeared on his pale fingers, he felt no chill. The cloak itself was almost frozen in shape, with stalagmites of ice that covered his shoulders with icy pauldrons.

The Fearlings reacted to his touch, following and whispering in their weird sandy ways. Jack tolerated them, but also enjoyed freezing them from the inside and watching from above. He'd discovered he loved the sound of panicked screams as someone slipped on unexpected ice, or when snow rotted their crops. He might have been a fan of pranks before, but he absolutely enjoyed this murderous mischief more.

"Milady, there are peasants outside,"

"Wot do they want?" The Bear Queen muttered, not turning away from her maps.

Hiccup paused for a moment, his golden eyes - muddled like distorted dreamsand - rolling as he watched the Queen. With his dark dark dragon scale armor, he was almost invisible.

"Merida."

"Do. Not. Call. Me. That." The Queen muttered, eye snapping to him as she stood up.

Eye.

When he'd first seen her, Merida - the Bear Queen - had curly black locks and golden eyes like him. She'd been a beautiful girl - and then she'd taken on a massive demon bear in Dunbroch. Of course she'd come out of the encounter as the victor, but her left eye had been clawed out, leaving it a milky white with a series of long scars among her dark, chin length curls.

"I apologise, my queen," Hiccup corrected. "But the peasants are outside,"

"Do ah look like ah care?" She replied, flipping back to the tomes and scrolls.

"Shall I send the dragons out?" Hiccup asked. It had been a while since he'd commanded the lizards that crawled the castle to do something for him. He figured they were probably getting restless.

"Do what you will," Merida grumbled, squinting at the books. "Ah've got other things to do."

"Yes Milady," Hiccup said, pulling a small dragon out of a pocket in his armor and letting it climb between his fingers. The Arsenic Adderworm species was small and wormlike, but carried one of the deadliest poisons. He turned to head down to the dungeons and dispatch the others, letting the Adderworm crawl up to his head like a deadly, breathing crown.

"Oh, and Hiccup?" Merida said, causing her lieutenant to stop. "Remind them tha' ah still control Mordu?"

Hiccup smiled evilly, letting the dragon glow as its frills fluttered.

"Of course,"

Authors Note: Today has been a day.

I have a week before I leave for college, so I have to plan out and do all the packing wildness. I also had a endoscopy to find if I have celiac disease or not (spoiler alert - I do). Since I was put under and had all the medicine pumped into my system for the scope, I just feel crummy and icky. I've been trying to finish up Omega Project (almost there!), but its going a little slow.

I hope I won't have to skip next weeks upload, but theres a chance I might. If I do, don't worry - this story is done. In fact, everything I post is always finished.

Hope you've all enjoyed this weeks chapters! Reviews make me happy, so don't hold back if you want to theorize or chat!
