Of Truth And Lies

Ofelia went out into the west hall where the emergency alarm was kept and pulled the handle up to turn it on.

Faragonda, Saladin, Griffin, and the other Alfea teachers and staff except Cordatorta ran up to Ofelia's location.

"What's going on, Ofelia?" Dufour asked.

"It is Tecna, Dufour! She has bolted for the school's forbidden archive!" Ofelia answered in terror.

"Tecna must be searching for answers about her past." Wizgiz observed.

"Oh no! We must keep her from the forbidden archive!" Griffin agreed.

"Tecna shouldn't be going where it's off limits for students to go," Faragonda exclaimed. "no matter how curious she is!"

"We should head Tecna off at the pass!" Palladiuim agreed.

"But, Palladium, Tecna is just too fast for us," Zarathustra observed. "I don't think we will ever be able to catch up with her."

"Just leave this mission to me." Palladium said to Zarathustra gently.

Meanwhile with Tecna, she had entered Alfea's forbidden archive.

Palladium caught up with Tecna in the room and saw the young entranced fairy looking at a light blue glowing book.

"No, Tecna," Palladium warned. "do not touch that book!"

Tecna picked up the book and asked it her question.

"Who am I?" Tecna asked the book while still locked within her trance.

"No!" Palladium screamed.

The book showed images of Zenithian warriors giving Tecna to a group of three wicked witches.

When the visions from the book had concluded, Tecna came out of her trance.

"Oh no! Professor Palladium," Tecna exclaimed, sobbing bitterly. "you have got to stay away from me!"

Palladium looked shocked by the student's sudden outburst.
