Two Months before the 'Kururi' incident

Awakusu-Kai Headquarters, a meeting is taking place, between the high-ranking executives of the Awakusu. Aozaki, Kazamoto and Mikado Ryuugamine, Akabayashi didn't attend the gathering due to Mikado. The new information broker of Ikeburkro, they were discussing Izaya Orihara and about dealing with him after his disappearance. As the conversation was going with tension was building up as they talk, Aozaki said:

"Ryuugamine,"

"Why did make us leave our turfs to meet up with you?!"

An increasingly angry Aozaki told Mikado in their first meeting together with each other on the topic of Izaya. As Mikado listens to Aozaki requests to leave the building, Mikado brings the discussion back to Izaya.

"Now, there's no need to to get all defensive,"

"Mr. Aozaki, I'm here only to discuss and ask all of you something…"

"Since, I do dealings with the Awakusu and make the transporter do jobs on behalf of the Awakusu and me"

"I'm asking you to take out someone for me on my behalf" Mikado smugly said.

Mikado pulled out a photo of Kururi and Mairu out of his pocket of his suit and placed it on the table in front of Aozaki and Kazamoto, looking at each other in confusion and looking back at Mikado.

"Hahahahaha" Kazamoto laughed.

"Tell them, they're in trouble or something," Kazamoto said, chuckling.

"What do you want us to do…."

"Kill them? Or capture them to interrogate for something important to you?" Aozaki asked.

Mikado began to smiled arrogantly and replied:

"Either one works, whatever is more efficient and quick for the job I'm asking of you "

"I want you two to send a subordinate of yours to their apartment in downtown Ikebukuro,"

"And kill or in this case severely hurt her to the point of death but then I want one of your competent low-level henchmen to bring her to my office apartment in Shinjuku for some personal business I want to tell her personally," Mikado said, as his smile grows weider.

Aozaki nodded in agreement at Mikado's personal request to take out one of the Orihara sisters' but Kazamoto stayed silent while he looked at the photo of Kururi and Mairu.

"Ah, I see, do you have a personal vendetta against them or someone they're related to by blood?" Kazamoto asked.

"You could say that," Mikado seriously replied.

Mikado stood up from the sofa, and grabbed his phone from the meeting table.

"By the way, spare Kururi's little sister Mairu and maybe just knock her out unconscious," Mikado said somberly, as he stood up from the sofa.

Then Mikado walked out of the office meeting room with the two awakusu executives.

"Aozaki, thoughts?" Kazamoto asked.

"Keep this between us and that little shit, Mikado," Aozaki replied, having a pissed off look on his face.

Aozaki and Kazamoto both got up and exited the office to head back to their respective home territories controlled by the Awakusu.

As Mikado is walking outside of Awakusu HQ, down the streets of Ikeburkro and heading to back his new apartment/office, and then he says to himself:

"Soon, Izaya, you will be back and I'll be alongside you ruling this city," Mikado said walking, crushing the picture of Mairu and Kururi in one of his hands.

Present Day

In Raira General Hospital, Mairu is seating down by Kururi's hospital bedside (Kururi hooked up to the life support). She is holding Kururi's hand tightly, Mairu feeling depressed, guilty and hasn't spoken in the weeks after taking Kururi to the Hospital to save her, Mairu said alone to herself:

"I'm sorry, sis,"

"I wasn't able to save you from whoever did this to you…."

"I wasn't even there for you to save you and stand by your side when you're in danger," Mairu said, about to cry.

Mairu began crying, due to a sense of survivor's guilt and after, wiping the tears off her face, calming down and waiting for what few friends she had to come and comfort her, Kuon and Aoba came through the door of Kururi's hospital room as the situation begin to sinking in Aoba was pissed off at the situation same for Kuon.

"So, what's Kururi's current condition and diagnosis from this Doctor?" Kuon Asked.

Mairu sighed.

"The Doctor said she's going to be in a few months long coma for a while. The nurses and the doctor did the best they could to try to save my sister" Mairu said.

Kuon walked to sit right next to Mairu next to Kururi's hospital bedside, hugging and wrapping his arms around Mairu to comfort her.

"Kururi is in good hands, Mai,'' Kuon, assureding Mairu.

Mairu embraces Kuon.

"Mairu, do you have an idea or clue who did this to your sister?" Aoba asked.

"Unfortunately, no," Mairu said, wiping tears off her face.

"It's probably someone who has a vendetta against your brother but since he disappeared, they targeted one of you instead," Kuon exclaimed.

"Yeah, that makes sense I guess," Mairu depressingly said.

"Just get out and leave me be, I'll be alright" Mairu said, clenched her fists in anger.

Aoba and Kuon lefted the room to let Mairu calm down. Mairu wiped away more of her tears and stood up from the chair, Mairu caressed Kururi's cheek and opened the door to leave the hospital room to let Kururi recover and search for the person or organization that hurt her, and take revenge on whatever person who did this.

Meanwhile

Later, It's night in Ikebukuro Mikado atop the rooftop of Tokyo Hands.

"Aw, Ikebukuro what a beautiful and calm city at night" Mikado said, grinning sadistically looking upon the residences of Ikeburkro.

Mikado standing with one foot on the edge of the building looking over the city with a grin and cold emotionless expression, watching the civilians below with his phone in hand, Horada walked over to Mikado near the ledge and kneels before Mikado reporting on the Mairu situation that's going after the incident with Kururi he instigate, Horada felt nervous and smug at the same time kneeling before Mikado on the rooftop.

"Okay, Boss I got rid of Orihara's sisters but what about the younger one?"

"She may become a problem later knowing how apple doesn't fall far from the tree for Izaya's sisters after all," Horada said.

Mikado turns to face Horada.

"Horada, don't worry about her. I'll deal with Mairu personally and more of her personal connections but you have to play your part as well for our plans to work," Mikado replied.

There was a brief silence for a second.

Mikado walked to and put his hand on Horada's shoulder to give him more orders on Mairu, and how to deal with her.

"Now I want you to confront and get rid of my younger sister now, kill her if necessary," Mikado ordered, Horada to do with a serious expression on him.

"Remember our deal," Mikado said.

Mikado walks away and leaves Horada atop the Tokyo Hands. When Horada was alone on the roof his true intentions, arrogance and sadism showed itself with Mikado leaving him to his devices on the Tokyo hands building.

"I do remember our deal, Boss with me ruling the city and the Tokyo Underworld without you in the equation" Horada said to himself with a smug grin.

AN: Sorry for not adding any author notes in the first chapter. I just wanted to see the first impressions of my series, and also Ryohgo Narita's other series like Etsuse Brirge, Vamp!, Baccano! many of the Baccano! characters from that series (since it's in the same universe, basically Durarara! and Baccano!) will appear in their own related story arcs to the main storyline and involvement with many of the Durarara characters good or evil in the many story arcs to come

Sorry in advance, I didn't make this crossover fic in the first place, I don't want to go back to change it right now and anyways this is better this way.

Also the "Kururi" incident refers to the end of the first chapter when she got brutally hurt.
