Chapter 18: Thunder vs Darkness (Aftermath)

The lady Siph and Loki just barely had enough time to arrive behind the downed Thor and look at the devastation around them for several city blocks, with a crazed looking Derrick on top of him who had a bit of madness in his eyes. Like he was having a field day so to speak as he continued to pummel the mighty Thor with every hit.

Every time he struck though the ground shook, and every time the ground shook Thor's head swung from side to side with every hit, before it smacked down on the cracked pavement and sidewalk.

Lady Siph bared her sword as Loki redyed his daggers while in a slight rage that this was happening, knowing that if this kept up Derrick would kill him.

Lady Siph was getting ready to charged, ready to stab Derrick through, when surprisingly Derrick stopped what he was doing with a bit of recognition in his eyes. Before standing up while looking down at his hands with what looked like, "regret", in his eyes as he looked down at his bloodied hands and Thor who was literally knocked unconscious.

Derrick noticed that Thor probably had enough anyway. And more than that he nearly went too far in his feral instincts. Like something about Thor's scent sent him over the edge which only got worse when he was smacked in the face with his hammer.

Then Derrick muttered, "…. I'm sorry….".

Off to the side was movement other than the pair of Norse God's.

Standing there was a shocked looking Kurt, Pixie, Xavier, and Logan who had a look on his face that was a mix between shock and neutral in logans case as they starred at Derrick who had a god's blood on his shaking hands.

But no one could match Jean Grey's who had both hands over her mouth at the devastation he caused. And who knew that he wasn't alright in the head and he probably never would be, especially after this.

Then Derrick muttered something without looking up while in a brief moment of clarity.

And that was.

"I destroy everything I touch….".

That earned some curious looks from Siph and Loki who didn't know what changed his composure all of a sudden.

But Logan had seen that look before, a look he had on his face all too often.

The look of a someone who was dead inside.

Derrick then spoke again, but this time it was directed towards Jean Grey.

"Please…. Take me back to my room". He asked with tears in his eyes realizing what he had done.

With that he let the shaky Jean and Kurt lead him back towards the portal to Kroako.

Siph wanted to stop him, but right now they needed to get Thor back to Asguard so he could heal.

So, for now, they let him go.

One thing was sure though. There would be a reckoning for this. On earth and Asguard.

Especially since it showed up on the morning and evening news. Which made a killing with all the Media that was recorded.

I'm going to get this off my chest, this character is completely broken on the inside. Not just genetically but also emotionally and mentally. He's a complete wreck.

And the way things are going, he's going to get worse before he gets better.

Makes you wonder how he's going to react when he encounters his mom?
