I originally was going to do two or three chapters "buuuuuut", "it's just too much fun seeing Derrick going berserk in his broken state for me to stop at just that" "So, its going to be six or more chapters depending on how long it takes for him to calm down. "If he calms down", that is. Also, Deadpool is going to get involved in this chapter which if I'm being honest, I didn't mean to add him as a main character on the profile description, but I just decided to keep him in there since you guys give me over 50-70 views in a single day on the graph.
Also, I didn't know if three chapters would cut it, with all the marvel villains and heroes out there.

Chapter 22: The Trial of Derrick, The Next Ragnarök, "Is Here"

Thor's P.O.V. Yesterday
Death and destruction littered the landscape as Thor crawled away from the hulking behemoth who made the earth shake with every step it took, making the structures of buildings and wreckage shake for dozens of feet around it as it did. The creature was a mountain of muscle and spikes and bone with a feral side to its bulky frame as it walked forwards.
Thor himself was beaten to a bloody pulp with a sprained arm along with torn armor plates and clothes on his upper chest while his lower half was fairing only a little bit better.
In front of him was captain America's shield, which was completely shattered like glass. And in front of that was Juggernaut who had massive dents in his armor on various points of his body while he had a glazed over look in his eyes like he had been punched to near oblivion.
Even worse came after.
In the background was cosmic ghost rider who had his chains wrapped around him several dozen times while being held in place against a piece of rubble, while his helmet was cracked releasing hellfire into the air, but it was quickly fading on his fractured skull. Like his lifeforce was running out.
And further still was Eddie Brock A.K.A. Cosmic Venom who was groaning, while trying to stand up. Only to fall down again clenching his chest where the symbiote was screeching in pain from being in the same presence as the monster before them.
Then there was vision who had a look on his face as he was pinned through with a piece of rebar sticking out of his chest before muttering with a strained voice, "We can't beat this thing"! "It's impossible"!
Then, impossibly as it might sound, there was the being known as Galactus who was knocked out while being rammed through smashed buildings and was bleeding from a nasty gash on his side that pooled in the street, but was barely holding onto life.
Finally, there was the future hulk who came back in time from another timeline after he picked up a change in the timeline, Maestro, who was still trying to pick a fight with what looked like fear, caution and intrigue in his face at the behemoth before him not recognizing the like from the future as he did.
While he was still angry, he got the vibe that this was a destructive force of nature that could end his immortal existence an infinite number of times if he wasn't carful, so for now, he proceeded with caution.
Especially after a gamma charged blow like the one, he just delivered that devastated the cityscape and also, it only seemed to make him mad, or, was it rather, was it empowering him?
Thor Looked up behind him at the creature that popped its neck joints with a satisfying, "SNAP", before pleading, "Please, don't do this…. please, we were wrong".
The creature merely let out another mindless roar through jagged bone teeth on its jaws, that shook the ground as it did.
"RRRRRAAAAAAARRRRHHHHHHH"!
One thought went through Thor's mind then, "He wasn't coming back…".
Then, it charged at the future hulk, "Maestro", who met him halfway with his own charge so he could defend himself.

King Thor shot awake from his second vision while in the halls of Asguard with the lady Siph sitting next to him, while he still had a few more days left to heal he knew he needed to put a stop to what he saw before it comes to pass. So, with some strained effort he sat up gaining the attention of Siph who was half asleep with how long she was sitting by his side.
"Thor, you shouldn't be up, your still healing".
Thor merely clenched his side having broken ribs on the left and a black eye with a healed gash on his head.
"I have no choice". He spoke. "Time is running out, to avert the eternal Ragnarök spanning all of existence".
This definitely got Siph's attention as she thought back to what he said when he fought that strange mortal on midguard.
"An eternal Ragnarök", she gasped. A normal Ragnarök was bad enough but an eternal Ragnarök was overkill! Especially if it spanned all of existence.
Siph's eyes narrowed. "You saw the mortal in your vision"? She asked.
Thor merely nodded thinking back to how that mortal fought. It was unnatural, every move he made was too fast, too strong, too perfect, and more than that, his teeth were like a monster from a nightmare and the strength he displayed as well as destroying Mjolnir was no easy feat.
He was a son of Odin, yet he couldn't fathom how he lost that fight. That being was definitely a mortal, though he had this darkness inside of him, like a berserker only worse. And then there's the fact that he grew some tendrils on his leg before he kicked him with black armor that encased such. Thor didn't know what that was, period.
Finally, there was the fact that he stopped Mjolnir with his bare hand!
In fact, ….
He was starting to doubt that mortal was even a well, "a mortal", given all he displayed during their fight.
"Thor what did you see in your vision"? Siph asked with worry in her voice.
Thor turned to her then let out a sigh, prepare yourself Siph, this is going to be a while, then he started to explain his horrible vision to her.

Deadpool's P.O.V. This Morning
Deadpool was having a crazy two days, then again what day wasn't a crazy day for Deadpool?
First day, he killed some A.I.M. soldiers who were trying to extort some asshole politician so they could gain some files from a secure server about some mutant that apparently popped up on the morning news while he was enjoying a hotdog in his apartment complex with his pet dog Dogg-pool and second day, while he was enjoying lunch, he received a pager from the X-Force stating that there was a situation on kroako.
Now most times he would ignore it given his history along with the mutant nation, but today was different as the pager had been going off with messages all morning since he got out of bed and made decaf coffee, which was irritating if he was being honest.
When it paged him for the umpteenth time, he finally turned it off to get some peace and quiet.
Then after a few moments his phone rang, causing him to twitch an eye as it did.
He set his hot dog down muttering something about how they sometimes tick him off at every turn, while he stomped over to the phone resisting the urge to pick it up and throw it across the room as he did before he composed himself.
"Hello, this is the guest lobby". Deadpool had to let out a snicker at that one. Which he did.
"JUST SHUT UP AND GET TO KROAKO, NOW"! Abigail Brand shouted over the line making Deadpool wince as he did. Before he heard a, SMASH, on the other side cutting off the line.
Deadpool looked at the phone for a moment before shrugging, "I suppose I could go see what's so bad that the director of S.W.O.R.D. would contact me personally", before he pressed the button on his belt teleporting him to kroako.

Earlier on Kroako
The thing that was Derrick smashed through the wall of the quiet council chambers like a battering ram, sending splinters of wood and root everywhere as it made the island shake from the impact crater it made in the trees. But, if anyone were to watch close, they would see there was no hesitation, no recoil, like it couldn't even feel it as its body flopped into the trees. Or was it that it couldn't get hurt to begin with.
By now Logan, Kurt, Polaris, Wanda, Scott, and finally Laura who snaped out of her stupor and followed. Along with those who witnessed his monstrous transformation knew that they needed to calm him down before he causes more destruction so they followed with Mystique, Rogue, Kitty Pride and Emma frost not far behind them.
Once they got far enough past the wall the trees suddenly exploded as the front ones toppled forwards splitting down the middle of the tree line as derrick hauled himself up with one hand on a broken stump with strength that Logan noticed betrayed his size.
"Derrick, please, don't do this, not here, please"! Kurt begged the creature who let out another screeching, bellowing roar obviously not understanding them as it did.
"RRRRRAAAARRRRRGGGHHHH"!
"Derrick please"! Kurt cried out in response with a pleading look on his face.
At this, Logan noticed the savagery on Derricks features.
"I don't think he's going to listen or stop bub"! Logan shouted at the others who didn't know how to reach him as realization crossed their faces.
"We have no choice then"! Emma shouted as Rogue, kitty, charged at derrick while Mystique pulled out her gun and started shooting at him with energy rounds, which only bounced off his abbs infuriating him all the more!
Seeing no other option to calm him down Logan pulled out his claws and charged while Polaris manipulated some metal on the ground throwing it at him, while Wanda used her energy blasts to try and push him back. Along with Rogue who picked up a tree trunk and tossed it at his chest where it shattered into splinters.
As soon as Wolverine got close, he slashed at his massive hind leg making barely any progress as he did before it healed up, though, was it slightly crackling with black electricity like energy as he did? Also, the energy blasts just absorbed into his skin making red vein patterns in his chest as it did, before he swatted the metal away hitting Logan making a "SMACK" on his head tearing skin from bone that splatted him into the ground.
Mystique fired some more shots at Derricks eye's that had little to no effect as he blinked then looked at where she was standing.
Then he grabbed Logan like a rag doll then pulled on his arm making a tearing noise as flesh was ripped from bone, skinning the arm of muscle as he did. Fortunately, though he still had the bloody ligaments and some muscle on the bones in tact so it didn't fall apart.
"AAAAAAHHHHH"!
Which of course made logan scream in agony before Derrick tossed him at Mystique like a baseball!
Mystique did a roll as Logan smacked face first into the rubble of the wall breaking the flesh on his face as he did.
Scott unleashed a laser blast that was also absorbed by his skin in the same manner as scarlet witch's blasts, leaving a stunned Scott who realized the truth, "EVERYTHING WE DO TO HIM MAKES HIM STRONGER"! He shouted out to his comrade's while Mystique was still shooting at him with every gun on her with no effect whatsoever now, and Wanda who was throwing energy blasts at him with the same effect.
Just then Kitty Pride phased through the ground before pulling derrick down with her before making him fall into the nightclub bellow while letting out another, "RRRRROOOOAAGGGGRRRR". While she pulled herself up, only for Derrick to burst through the ground in a jump moments later. It was so powerful in fact that he rose several stories before stopping then falling back down lifting up his arms as he did. Slamming the ground causing a shockwave that made the ground unstable making them retreat a little way behind the rubble and wall that he emerged from till the ground collapsed under his feet so to speak. Making him fall once more into the underground nightclub.
"That's it", "I'm shutting down his mind right now"! Emma yelled before focusing.
Off to the side Laura screamed something that went unheeded before the inevitable happened.
Blood trickled down Emma Frosts nose as her eye's rolled upwards while clenching her skull with both hands and letting out a pained scream that disturbed every one of her comrades before she hunched over on her knees and heaved in breaths. Including the recovered wolverine who shouted out behind her, "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU EXPECT"?! "YOU'RE THE ONES WHO F#!%&D HIM UP IN THE HEAD, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK HE'LL LET YOU IN HIS HEAD NOW"?!
Wolverine was getting ticked off just about this whole mess as much as he felt bad for the kid, so, he was going to do something a little different.
"KURT"! He shouted out, startling Kurt in the process. And gaining the attention of the others.
"WHEN HE COMES BACK UP, ME AND SCOTT DESTRACT HIM WHILE YOU GUYS GET AS MANY CITIZENS AND RUN, THIS ISLAND IS NO LONGER SAFE"!
"Where"?! Kurt replied.
"I DON'T KNOW, ANYWHERE THAT'S BETTER THAN HERE"!
"THEN WHAT"! Kurt demanded, "WE CAN'T KEEP THIS UP FOREVER"!
"Yeah, everything we throw at him just ticks him off more"! Kitty shouted in response.
"I KNOW THAT, BUT IF WE STAY HERE THERE WON'T BE MUCH ISLAND LEFT"! Logan shouted back.
Just then the ground started to rumble and shake.
"HERE HE COMES"! Rogue shouted out.
The behemoth shattered the ground once more sending shrapnel everywhere, wait, was he glowing with black electricity dancing around his body?
Sure enough, as they starred at his hulking form, there was energy dancing around him in front of their verry eye's crackling as it continued to grow, while the creature held its head while leaning over almost like it was getting, …. More powerful! Then it shot it's head up suddenly over their heads.
"RRRRAAAAAGGHHHRRRRRRRRRHHHRRRRRRRRRRRR"!
Its eyes and compound eyes released a focused blast of what looked like black energy in the form of a laser beam that threatened to destroy everything in sight while turning his head erratically from side to side, apparently not seeing what's in front of him as he did. "HOW THE HELL ARE LASERS BLACK"?!
Everyone had to duck as the lasers zoomed over their heads destroying the walls and ceiling as it went threatening to destroy everything in sight as it was not being stopped. Causing the tree life and structures to crumble and fall!

Back in the counsel chambers while hiding under a piece of rubble, Abigail Brand was in panic mode, calling someone she never would have thought of contacting before, "DAMN IT WADE, PICK UP THE PHONE"!

Just then Wolverine and Cyclops, who released another laser blast to derricks face which only aggravated him further as the black lasers from his eyes died down, while the monster shook it off.
Once Logan got too close, he was punched by Derrick that sent him flying like a cruise missile off the island and into the water as he did while letting out a pained scream.
Derrick swung his fist forwards, then stopped suddenly mere inches from the face of who was in front of him. The person in front of him clicked something inside of him after he noticed her standing there for the first time, like a distant memory. Only flickering in the dark.
Standing there was Laura with her hands up in a non-threatening manner as she looked him in the eyes with a pained expression on her face, for a moment Derrick was still shaking slightly, like he was fighting his inner instincts, before she reached forwards and lightly held his massive armored hand with both of her own.
"LAURA"?! "WHAT ARE YOU DOING"?! Rogue and Emma shouted as Rogue helped her up. "He'll KILL YOU"!
Laura didn't respond as she starred in his glowing eyes for a moment with a pleading look on her face as she did. "I'm sorry Derrick". "I'm sorry I didn't understand before, but I sure do now". She said in a quiet voice.
Everyone starred as Derrick seemed to relax a bit at this, realizing that she was reaching him through the monster he became.
"You've been alone for so long, please let me share your burdens for once". Laura pleaded as she continued holding his hand.
Then, Derricks eyes looked like he had a bit of pain in them as they looked normal.
Then Laura reached forwards and kissed his hand affectionately. Making him slump to his knees on the ground before slumping his other arm to the side.
Then she took the initiative and hugged him.
His dam broke, and his mind came back in an instant, as his form shifted back to his original state as tears were on his cheeks before wrapping his arms around her in a hug. While she did the same.
Everyone and I mean everyone were putting two and two together now as Laura sat there holding derrick in her arms before reaching forwards and kissing his forehead.
Leaving a stunned silence as everyone thought, "Laura and Derrick"? They definitely didn't see that coming.
