"…. Son…". The woman known as death gasped out suddenly while ignoring everyone else in the universe for that moment in time. Even as the various x-men and other mutants in the hellfire gala were staring at the cosmic death entity that arrived through the portal, then back at the still slightly taken aback Derrick, then back at Death with horrified and shocked expressions. But none were as horrified as Jean and Laura who knew instantly that this was going to be bad as they both starred at Death then Derrick then back at Death.
Even the likes of Emma Frost were starring in horror at the little interaction between the two.
This was going to be bad period!
If Death had picked up on this, she didn't show it, which she probably didn't anyway.
Too many things were going through her head at that moment.
And she wasn't the only one.
Derrick muttered, "Mother"!? While taking a step back in shock.
