An hour before
Car rental service
"Paige where are you? I've been trying to get hold of you for hours" Slyvester asked annoyed "The Harmon bid is today, we need you there" Paige huffed as she paced back and forth outside the rental car she was about to get in
"I'm not coming you're going to have to do it without me" she said. "Is this about the other day? Paige I said I was sorry but you need to stop being selfish- Centipede needs you." That got Paige's back up immediately "Selfish? Unbelievable! you know what Sly Fuck you- you're the most selfish one of the lot! I couldn't come if I wanted to anyway I'm in Ireland"
Slyvester's face went red with anger "So you're abandoning us to go running off after that woman stealer?!" He shouted "Yes!" Cried Paige "Because he didn't actually do anything wrong! He's not the one who got angry thinking Florence owed it to him to sleep with him because he's a 'nice guy' you pig! He's not the one who started a company to compete against us out of spite! And dispite what I thought at the time he never actually cheated on me! Now he's really sick- and it's looking like MS. I need to be there- my son needs to be there! Fuck Centipede! I quit!"
Allie looked at Cabe who nodded and got out the car- wrapping his arms around a now weeping Paige.
Centipede Offices
Slyvester didn't know how long he'd been sat on the ground staring at his phone. It could've been 20 minutes- it could've been an hour.
He'd ruined everything. Megan would've been so angry with him. He'd destroyed his relationship with his brother and parents-in-law, torn apart Scorpion and messed with Walter and Paige's relationship then to top it off started a company with the others to compete against Walter. All because he couldn't stand that Florence didn't want to be with him.
Now his Brother, The man that saved his life, gave him a home and practically raised him from a teenager, who gave him friends, the man who was the reason for him meeting and Marrying the love of his life, could die- the same horrible way his sister had and thanks to his lies if Walter hadn't have gone to Ireland he could've faced it all without his family.
He threw up all over himself with the stress but he hadn't noticed. Still staring at his phone, wondering how he screwed it all up so badly.
He didn't notice when Happy and Toby walked through the door complaining about having to handle the Harmon meeting alone.
Hospital- Present time
Paige gasped as she saw her former beau. The shock of seeing him so unwell hitting her hard. Ralph tearily pushed past her and dispite her objections curled onto the bed with Walter, who opened his eyes slowly. "Hey you" he whispered kissing the top of Ralph's head.
"Hey handsome" Paige whispered to Walter before kissing the top of his head.
He leaned into her kiss, almost embarrassed at how starved he was for her touch. Paige smiled sadly as she sat down beside him and held onto his hand rubbing the top of it slightly. "I've missed you" she whispered before kissing his hand, frowning slightly as he let out a disbelieving chuckle.
Paige understood of course, she had broken his heart in the worst of ways. She sniffed slightly trying to hold bad tears. She only hoped he could forgive her.
Cabe came away from his place by Walter's parents with Allie. He tried hard not to show how upset he was, he knew Walter didn't like people crying for him. "Anyone would be thinking you're going for a record with all these hospital visits" he joked squeezing his shoulder. Walter smiled in return "You know me. I like to win" he replied.
Allie couldn't hold back any more and kissed the whole of his face before throwing her arms around his neck in a tight hug. Earning a nervous laugh from Walter, who wasn't used to all this attention
