Chapter 2
Jennifer paused outside her wife's hospital room to put away her cell phone. She looked through the door at Emily, her face still swollen. Taking a deep breath she walked through the door and sat down next to her wife, taking her hand carefully she placed a kiss to the back of her hand.
"Emily,…..I should've just disobey Hotch, and gotten into the damn ambulance! ….[sniff]…..never again. We will go home once the doctors clears you to fly. I have told your Mother, she is furious, I didn't realise Elizabeth knew so many profanity's." Sniffed JJ
JJ held her wife's hand and just watched her sleeping, hoping that the swelling would soon reduce without the need for further surgery.
JJ's nightmare
"Emily is in here JJ." Laughed Hotch and Morgan
JJ ran to the treatment area to find Emilys whole body swollen. She was secured to the floor by her left ankle. Watching in horror Emily continued to swell, floating like a helium FBI agent shaped ballon.
The doctor approached and just pulled out a large pin, smirking he popped Emily, she exploded everywhere.
"Emily!" Screamed JJ
Hotch, Morgan, Rossi, Reid and Garcia laughed.
"Whoops! Sorry Jennifer, I spilt coffee on her Proxy form, we missed her allergy, my bad." Hotch smirked
She was handed a brush and bucket to scoop up her wife's body bits. Starting to scoop up her mouth it started to move.
"You bitch, you let him kill me!"
End nightmare
JJ jolted awake, she looked at Emily to check she was still in her bed. Emily still looked peaceful, her swollen face returned almost to normal.
"How long was I asleep?" She asked out loud.
"About three hours, Mrs Prentiss." Someone answered making JJ jump. She turned around to see a uniformed security guard.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to scare you. Your Mother-in-law employed us to stand guard over Your wife and keep her safe. We have orders to keep these four people away from her room." He handed over a sheet with photographs of the BAU team. "My name is Owen Stanley."
"Thank you Owen, you can call me JJ." She smiled
"Hey Siri, what is the time?" She asked her Apple Watch
" it's 07:37" announced her watch

The BAU team remained in the hospital overnight hoping JJ would have calmed down. Hoping she would allow them to see Emily this morning. Hotch had rebuked himself all night, Jennifer was correct he had received pressure from the Mayor to have a quick press conference announcing
Alfred Thomas reign of terror was over. Whom better than the FBI to rubber stamp his own announcement.
"Hotch!" Morgan shook his knee to get his attention
He looked up In surprise and then smiled and took the offered coffee.
"What are we going to do, Man?" He asked his worried boss
"Let's hope she has calmed down and seen sense. In hind sight, Jennifer should have accompanied Emily here. The press conference,…I allowed the Mayor to pressure me into the quick press conference. He wanted to make sure his visitors felt safe and wouldn't leave in their droves. What's making things worse is not being able to see Emily." Sighed Hotch
"Emotions were running…." Derek is silenced by the appearance of JJ .
"I knew it!" JJ yelled at Hotch after overhearing his last conversation
A man stands next to JJ "SSA Aaron Hotchner BAU Unit Chief?" He asked
"Yes!" Hotch answered
He hands a yellow legal envelope over to him "you have been served. Please sign here." He was told
Hotch is shocked, he signed and pulled out the enclosed legal documents

SSA Derek Morgan
Dr. Spencer Reid
"You have all been served, please sign here." He retired after he had collected all his signatures.
At that exact moment in Quantico, Penelope Garcia received her very own yellow envelope.
Hotch looked at JJ "Restraining order? Really Jennifer" a confused and slightly angry Hotch asked his former friend
The restraining order, the whole team received forbid them from.
Approaching Mrs Emily and Jennifer Prentiss. They must remain 100m away at all times
Contact them by any means…..
Reid looked up from his document with tears in his eyes and just about turned and walked away from JJ
"Why JJ?" Morgan asked
"My wife is laying in the ICU, because of SSA Aaron Hotchner and his need to please the towns Mayor. Your just as guilty Derek Morgan, so don't give me that crap." JJ turned on her heels and walked off without uttering a single word
Watching their former team mate and friend walk away.
"What the hell!" Rossi vocalised for the whole team "I don't think we have heard the last of this Aaron, she looks super pissed." Rossi told his friend.
EJ
"She has walked past me to the restroom, move quickly." Announced the text Morgan just received from Garcia monitoring the hospitals CCTV cameras.
Morgan started walking towards his partners room, restraining order be dammed. He wanted to check in on her. He checked the corridor was clear after flashing his badge to the nurse at the desk. Before Morgan reached the door to Emily's room he was blocked off by Emily's security guard.
"Your 90m too close to Mrs Emily Prentiss, Supervisory Special Agent Morgan. Please remove yourself to the appropriate distance. If you fail to comply I will have no choice but to inform the police." Owen Stanley informed the speechless Agent.
Speechless Morgan turned around and walked away. Unfortunately for Morgan, JJ had just rounded the corner and watched her old work colleague walk away.

Emily slowly opened her eyes and immediately smiled as she could sees the blonde hair of her wife splayed over her leg. Emily tried to speak but found she couldn't produce a single sound. JJ sensed the movement resting against her wife's leg and lifted her head and sensed her panic.
Squeezing her wife's hand "don't panic sweetheart you have a tracheotomy tube in your throat you can't speak at the moment, slow your breathing down….that's a good girl. In and out." JJ coached her wife to help her slow her breathing as she pressed the call button.
The doctor walked in with the nurse to check on the now awake Emily. After examining Emily he was pleased her allergic reaction had finished, All the bandage fragments had successfully been removed.
"Emily, I am Dr Bright, I have been treating you while you've been her in the I.C.U. I am happy to take your tracheotomy tube out. I will keep you up here for a further 24 hrs under observation. Your anaphylactic attack is over, just remember next time to let the ER doctors know. Next time we might not be able to save you. You were vey lucky it actually happened in the E.R" Dr Brights warned.
Watching the doctor deflate the ballon holding the tube in place JJ felt a little uneasy seeing the hole in her wife's throat. Placing an airtight dressing over the hole he smiled and walked out
She stood up and placed a loving kiss on her lips thankful she was alive. The tears started to trickle down her face.
"I was so frightened, I was losing you." JJ whispered, her tears now streaming down her cheeks.
"What happened?" Asked Emily
Emily had her eyes locked onto the blue orbs of her wife. She noticed utter hate behind them. She looked so tense Emily was now very concerned.
"Hotch ordered me to conduct a press conference so he asked Morgan to accompany you to the hospital. During your surgery they used the coagulation pads your allergic to, you had a severe anaphylactic attack. Your face and neck swelled up. You had a respiratory arrest on the table. That's why you had your." JJ laughed and pointed to her throat dressing.
JJ gathered her thoughts and calmed her anger. She smiled at Emily knowing she would see through it. She took a deep breath and continued.
"I was furious with Hotch, the press conference was just to rubber stamp the Mayors announcement. I kind of blew my top….." JJ pauses trying to reign in her emotions. "I resigned when I spoke with Strauss and just threw my credentials at Hotch."
Emily looked at JJ to continue
"He nearly killed you with….his cavalier attitude. The guys didn't back me up, they just stood like his gang of submissive's. I spoke with Elizabeth, she is furious and helped me with the restraining orders. He had the nerve to remind me how we promised not to let our marriage affect our jobs. That was the final straw." JJ told Emily with sheer fury in her voice.
Emily watched her very angry wife trying to control her internal battle
"Thank you sweetheart. Come and lay down with me." Emily slid across to give her wife some space.
" I will arrange for a medical flight home in the morning" JJ told her wife
EJ
"I just want to grab that naughty blonde girl and toss her over my knee and give her a good spanking." Garcia told the BAU men over the phone.
"Join the queue baby girl." Morgan answered her
"Emily and JJ are booked onto a private charted medical flight at 10:15 tomorrow to the Prentiss mansion in the Hamptons. She is going to leave without telling us." Sniffed Garcia "we don't even know how Emily….." Garcia is too upset to continue
"Jennifer will come to her senses eventually, Penelope." Rossi told the upset woman
"I don't think so Dave." Hotch told him after reading his latest text. "Jennifer has made it official, she raised a complaint with Strauss about the handling of SSA Prentiss emergency medical care and her removal as her NOK. She has brought into doubt about the ethicality of his order to deliver the press conference after the Mayor pressured him. She has also made a complaint about you Derek. We are both to report to her office once we land." He told the shocked group
