The Resistance's battle against Vision's army was fierce. Bucky and Steve were striking blows in tandem, while his team withstood the hordes of attacks. He was having difficulty leading the team in Zemo's absence but came up with several plans to resist the waves of robotic enemies.
Daredevil and Nat escaped from the cell with their deft moves. They followed their path to the engine room, sneaking around and avoiding as many robots as possible.
Matt had to leave to get his sword, as he saw a robot take it to the kitchen. When Natasha was a few feet from the engine room, a silver flash knocked her down, knocking her unconscious.
The USB Flash Drive to destroy Ultron was left lying on the floor, right between Pietro (who was defending the entrance to the Computer room) AND Daredevil (Who had just arrived with his Samurai sword).
Wanda had a fierce battle against the android she once loved. But when Wanda rebelled, she understood that this was not him. It was a more aggressive, strong and merciless Vision.
Daredevil managed to take down Pietro by listening to his rapid heartbeat. At that moment, Matt took the opportunity to place the USB Flash Drive in the computer. Pietro got up and knocked Daredevil down with a whiplash.
But it was too late, Jarvis 2.0 began to act and the robots were slowly dismantled. The resistance took advantage and entered the castle.
The true voice and appearance of the android Vision was revealed: Ultron. The operating system in the computers began to fail. There was a cybernetic fight between Ultron and Jarvis, as Vision's true mind tried to take control of his body.
The building was collapsing. Debris, columns and the roof were falling. The Resistance managed to enter the castle. Bucky and Steve decided to look for Natasha.
Pietro apologized to Matt for what happened. He was sorry for all the things he had done because of Ultron's manipulation. The twin decides to help Daredevil escape and he agrees. When they head to find the unconscious Natasha, she was no longer there.
Steve and Bucky split up. Steve goes to look for Black Widow and Bucky for his teammates. Suddenly, a metal beam falls on Steve, who was battling some guards. As the beam was about to fall, a figure tackles him and pulls him away from danger: Natasha. Steve is glad to see her but realized that the beam managed to fall on his leg. Natasha carries him on her shoulder and together they escape from the place.
Vision was kneeling in front of Wanda in the center of the room. He explained to her how years ago, Ultron destroyed him, along with the Mind Stone. Ultron impersonated him, destroying cities and wiping out humanity. Two weeks ago, a new Mind Stone was found by the evil android and built a new body of Vision and revived him.
As Pietro was carrying Daredevil at full speed to the big room, a body runs across in front of them and all three of them fall down knocked down. Bucky got up in confusion. The guys told him they had to move fast to rescue Wanda.
After saying goodbye to Wanda for the last time, Vision vows to have Wanda take her Stone from him. He doesn't want to suffer anymore and the only way for Ultron to die is to destroy Vision's body. Wanda doesn't want to do it again but it's necessary.
Vision told her it was beautiful to see her again, Wanda shared the sentiment. Finally, Wanda extracted the Stone from his forehead. With pale skin tone and a look of cold disdain, Vision fell to the floor.
A couple of tears fell on the Mind Stone in Wanda's palm. But she wiped them away and closed her fist, guarding the Stone. Suddenly, a debris fell on her but she managed to stop it. The building was crumbling to pieces.
At full speed, Bucky, Matt and Pietro run through the door. They take Wanda by the hand and head for the nearest exit.
It's all over now. Wanda, Bucky and Daredevil exit the Castle collapsing in time. Fortunately, Wanda had the Mind Stone in her hand. All the members of the Resistance congratulated them.
Zemo wakes up and is shocked to see all the chaos in front of him. Steve and Natasha reunite and kiss, as they had an estranged relationship because of the plan. The Resistance burst with excitement to see that after so long, the plan worked.
The Maximoff twins say goodbye and Wanda forgives Pietro everything since he was being controlled by Ultron. Pietro decides to surrender to the Resistance and be imprisoned. Bucky is reunited with Steve and Steve tells him that he is proud of how he led the team.
Captain America decided to give his shield to Bucky. Bucky looked at it longingly but turned it down. He's not ready to be the great leader of the Avengers like Steve was. Besides, he won't need to because when this is all over, Captain America will be back. Steve is proud of this decision and they say goodbye.
Bucky and Daredevil take a few seconds to look at the destroyed Castle along with Wanda. Not because they care about Vision's death, but because of how much it means to her. The guys ask her if she's ready to go. She nods her head confidently.
The boys leave with the obtained Mind Stone.
At the same time but in another Universe, Sam had arrived in a vast hot desert. Nothing to be seen or heard. He rubbed his eyes by the immense sunlight. He saw around him Spidy and Quill, who were to accompany him on his quest for the Power Stone.
On the horizon in the distance, they saw a Colosseum of sorts and decided to move forward. As they got closer, the shouts from the audience intensified. The large, white, dilapidated Colosseum was several stories high and held about 40,000 spectators.
When they arrived, they shared a look of insecurity among the three of them. The facility was much larger than they had thought and the packed bleachers were shouting one word with euphoria: Hermendinger!
"What a show, Ladies and Gentlemen!" A male voice could be heard over the loudspeakers surrounding the battle arena "Beautiful evening at the Asgardian Battle Coliseum!"
- "Asgardian?" replied Star-Lord, "Are we in Asgard?
"Please, a round of applause for all our competitors on the bill... What a Show is coming! This is what they came for and so am I!" The audience applauds, excited.
"And now, without further ado... It's time for the main event!"
The applause doubled. The bleachers vociferated, and exulted.
"Making his sixth appearance, on a winning streak and winning the hearts of several ladies in the audience... I'll say no more... I present to you: Aloysius"
From the darkness of the doors came out a warrior. A simple warrior with a golden helmet covering his face, leather armor, his shiny metal sword in his right hand and a spiked shield in the other.
Decisively, he advanced to beyond the center of the stadium where he raised his sword fiercely toward the crowd of screaming fans.
From above, there stood the king of Asgard, emperor of the Norse people and the son of Odin: Loki, the god of Deception. Sitting on his throne and clapping contemptuously at the noble warrior. He had a leather garment with green and, predominantly, golden details. And a gaudy crown, cast in black gold by the burning of a star.
-He's just a simple warrior who came out of nowhere and the crowd is already cheering him as if he were one of them... Despicable," said Loki, referring to the warrior.
-Calm down, my king..." a female voice came out behind Loki: Gamora, in a white dress, with turquoise details- ...The commoners are fickle. In a month they will forget about him.
-No. Long before that... It is settled, my dear Gamora," said Loki, "The Hermendinger is ready... Asgard will tremble..." An expression of fear was seen on Gamora's face.
-My greatest cannot lose. Especially not in front of your father, Gamora," said Loki, as he waved to his father-in-law from the couch: Thanos.
Meanwhile, at the entrance of the Colosseum, the three heroes were debating.
-Hey, we can't stay here to watch a fight," said Spiderman to his companions.
-Well, according to the radar the Stone is a few meters away and... it's getting closer," said Star Lord, looking worried at his companions.
"Okay, that's it." Said the voice on the loudspeaker "Let's get ready to welcome your rival. He's a real beast, what can we say about him? Well, he's one of a kind. There's no one like him. "
The coliseum shook with a small tremor. Spotlights illuminated the door on the other side of the arena. A larger-than-normal door. The entire crowd rose to its feet. Palpable anticipation. The tremors getting louder and louder.
"He wants to defend his 5 year title..." BOOM! A loud knock on the door "He is the champion..." BOOM! "He is:..." KA-BOOM! The door shattered into a thousand pieces. "THE INCREDIBLE HERMENDINGER!"
The Hermendinger was a HULK... But a much larger gladiatorial beast. His skin was gray and his eyes were red with fury. He had a beard and battle braid. Despite having armored leather armor, he carried no weapons. With his powerful fists he could finish off any opponent.
From his armored shoulder pad came a purple glow: THE STONE OF POWER. The secret behind the true strength of the beast.
-It can't be..." said Spidy. They looked at each other. They know they must face him to get it.
The Hermendinger struck its chest and roared, further energizing an already frenzied crowd. Quickly, the creature lunged at the warrior Aloysius, who was able to effectively dodge the blow.
With extreme swiftness, Aloysius began to deliver crushing blows to the beast's torso and legs, though it seemed that its skin was impenetrable. The Hermendinger countered with a punch. The warrior was left lying on the ground; the beast had him served on a platter to finish him off.
A flurry of shots slammed into the Hermendinger's chest. The beast was forced to retreat and cover himself with his fists. Star Lord, Spider-Man and Nova entered the battle arena to deal blows to the beast.
The audience, and especially King Loki, wondered who these guys were. The wrath of the Asgardian god was not long in coming.
Sam lifted the fighter off the ground and pushed him away from danger with his Jetpack. He starts shooting at Hermendinger but missed almost every shot, the few he hits are tickling the beast.
Meanwhile, Quill and Peter fought the beast with great effort. Despite its great bulk, the Hermendinger was fast and delivered blows with unstoppable force. And all that strength was doubled by the Power Stone in his chest.
Defeating him would be a tremendously long and exhaustive task. But perhaps there is another way to obtain the Stone.
-What's the plan now, Quill?" asked Parker, as he dodged the punches.
-Maybe with your sticky webs you'll be able to get the Stone out of him, spider.
- That's a good idea, if I reconfigure and increase the voltage of my web by 25%, I'll be able to generate pressure on the chest, resisting the Stone's energy.
-What the hell do you mean?" asked Quill, in a hurry.
-I need a distraction, I'll take care of the other thing," said Spider-Man, while swinging on the Hermendinger's back.
Star Lord ordered Sam to distract him, who was just flying in the heights shooting. Quill and Sam start fighting as Nova doesn't dare to approach the beast and distract him.
Can they put the discussion on hold until after they survive the fight," said Spidy.
-Do it, Nova," Quill ordered.
In an act of courage, Nova descended and began firing bursts of gunfire a little closer. The shots began to affect the beast and, at the same time, anger it more.
The Hermendinger grabbed Sam's leg. The boy could not run away and kept firing frantically in their face. The beast lifted him into the air and slammed him to the ground, destroying his Nova helmet.
Spider-man didn't have enough time and now they need another distraction. Parker tries to pull the Hermendinger away from the downed Sam. Star Lord must take it upon himself to distract the monster but he realized that brute force won't work against him.
Quill stood in front of the monster and, with gunfire, got its attention. As the Hermendinger was about to crush him with a stomp, the melody coming out of Star-Lord's mouth stopped him.
Star Lord distracted him with the Supreme Dance and Peter, with a tug of his web, the Power Stone came out of the Hermendinger's chest in a purple explosion.
Loki's eyes could not believe what they were seeing. Gamora tries to approach to comfort him but the king exploded with rage and madness. Quickly, he forced one of his minions in the room to summon Star Prince in a desperate measure. Gamora's face indicated that things would get worse.
To the cheers and applause of the audience, the three heroes victoriously reunite with the Power Stone. Sam saw the warrior Aloysius walking away from the battle arena, he knew things were going badly even though they had already beaten the Hermendinger.
Quill saw the Asgardian guards enter the arena and began to follow them. They could not open the portal because if they did so at that moment, the guards would also cross it. They had to escape from that place.
They began to run through the crowd, camouflaging themselves. The shouts and the commotion of the crowd made it impossible for the guards to find them, but not for Star Prince.
As they were about to reach the exit door and escape, Sam ran into a big, burly guy. He fell to the ground but the guys didn't notice and left him behind. When Sam got up, it was revealed to be a guy wearing a gray helmet, blue trench coat with red and gold accents, and hundreds of artifacts in his pockets. It was Star-Lord's suit but from this Universe.
Star Prince grabbed Sam by the neck and pulled him into the battle arena with his Jetpack. From there, he began to drag him by the hair while asking where the Power Stone was. Quill and Peter couldn't hear Sam's screams over the chaos.
To shut him up, the mercenary began punching him in the mouth. Sam decided to stop yelling at his friends to save him as it would put them in danger and they would not be able to return the Stone.
Already without strength, Sam stopped resisting and was dragged away by Star Prince. But at least his friends managed to escape with the Stone and will return to the Base.
Quill and Spidy manage to escape and hide behind some marble columns. The Asgardian guards lost sight of them. Now more relaxed, they come out of their hiding place. As they are about to leave, they realize that Sam was left behind. With the thermal vision of his helmet, Quill saw Sam being kidnapped by the mercenary.
Without hesitation, Quill decided to go back to look for Sam. But Parker didn't want to, he thought it was a trap and if they fail he's going to lose what little they have left.
Quill handed the Stone to Peter and ordered him to go back to the Base and return the Power Stone.
-What will you do?" asked Parker.
-I'm going to save Sam.
- What? Are you crazy? You'll be trapped here if you do. Both of them...
-Listen, because of me, the person I loved died and I'll never get her back. I don't want to have that on my conscience again... I don't want to make any more mistakes and this is my chance. -
-But, Quill...
-Hey, return the Stone and save our universe. I'll save Sam from this one. When you snap your fingers, come back and take us out. Not before - Star Lord sped off, leaving Peter alone with the Stone.
Peter will activate the device, opening the portal back even though it pains him to leave his companions. But something stopped him; a phrase kept echoing in his head:
"You don't get rid of fear... It's like nature, you don't overcome it, or run from it; but if you resist it, you'll know what you're capable of."
Peter realizes everything. He put the device in his pocket along with the Stone, sacrificing the mission. He puts on the mask and comes out of hiding. It's time for the Spectacular and Amazing Spider-Man to return and save his friends...
