Author's note: Hey y'all here's a chapter. Regular trigger warnings and y'know... some night mare stuff. Also, what is motivation? I don't have any. ? Anyway, read on.

Oh...

Sans felt disoriented, where was he?

...

It was so dark...

"You failed again."

Wha- He jumped to his feet, why was everything so heavy? It was as if someone had turned his soul blue.

He peered around, then squinted and could see a pair of glowing red eyes watching him.

He scrambled away from the sight, "y-you! no! you can't hurt me, this is just a dream!"

"Would you even care if I COULD hurt you?" The voice asked, "You did just fail in killing yourself, like with everything else."

"who are you?" Sans demanded, his bones rattled despite him trying to hide it, "what do you gain from messing with me?"

"That's not the questions you should be asking," they giggled, "Am I even real? Or are you just losing your mind?"

"i'm- i'm not-"

"SANS?" He whipped around, and there was Papyrus, looking lost.

"b-bro?"

Sans reached out for him. But it was like Papyrus couldn't see him, no, Papyrus really COULDN'T see him.

"SANS, WHY DID YOU JUMP?" The tall skeleton's voice sounded dull, "WAS I NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU?"

"no! bro, please, don't think that! don't-"

"YOU'RE USELESS," his voice turned cold, and his hands clenched into fists, "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE MY OLDER BROTHER, BUT YOU WERE TOO WEAK WEREN'T YOU?"

"i'm sorry-" Sans's knees buckled beneath him and he collapsed, "bro, i'm sorry. i know- i know it's-"

Papyrus looked straight at him, "SO, WHY HAVEN'T YOU CHANGED? AM I NOT WORTH IT?"

"no! no, pap, you're better than me!" Sans choked, "i'm too weak to change, just- i'm sorry! please..."

Papyrus looked down at him with disdain, "YOU CAN'T EVEN GIVE ME A GOOD REASON," he started to turn away.

"wait, pap, please-"

"Lets see how useless you are at saving your brother," the voice hissed right next to him, "When you have a direct warning."

"no! no, i can't, i can't see!" Sans sobbed desperately, he tried to summon his Blasters, tried to summon bones, anything, but he couldn't.

"help!" He screamed, "please, help my brother!"

But nobody came.

With a loud slicing sound, Papyrus was decapitated, his body and head turning to dust before he even hit the ground.

"no, nonono," Sans panted, clutching at his head, "he's not dead. he can't be dead."

"But he is," the voice was back, "And you didn't even try to save him."

"i tried!" He snapped, his hands shook so hard, why was he shaking, "i tried, i swear i did! but- but i couldn't..."

"And does that make you any better?" The retort came quickly, "You failed, again. You failed at killing yourself. You failed your brother again. What else are you gonna screw up? Sansy, face it, you're nothing."

He stared into the red eyes, trembling as he tried to hold back sobs.

"You're useless, worthless, and just a burden," an eerie glowing red smile appeared, "Though I suppose I couldn't expect any more than that. Just look at you. Killing you would be a mercy, not just for you, but for everyone around you that you hurt by staying."

"then- then kill me," Sans broke, his voice quivering, "just kill me!"

"Now that wouldn't be any fun would it?" A giggle, "Because that's exactly what you want, how about instead, we kill everyone else Underground, while you watch me, too selfish to stop me? Oh wait," the grin widened, "You've already done that. I guess you enjoyed my Genocide."

"please..." He begged, not even caring that he was crying now, "just kill me..."

."If you say so, Mr. Comedian," they somehow snatched his soul out of his chest, gripping it tight in a fist, "I suppose I owe you a favor for letting me kill your brother."

For a moment, he could just feel his soul being strangled, then there was a sharp stab and his soul broke.
