Roland and Miranda were waiting frantically in the waiting room as the doctor and nurse worked on Sofia, they had been so shocked and scared when they saw Sofia suddenly collapse to the floor, unconscious and unresponsive to their shouts or shakes as she laid limp in her mother's arms, while Roland called for help, leaving the children with Miranda's Uncle while they followed the paramedics to the hospital.
For what seemed like an eternity, the doctor finally came out and asked "Your Majesties?"
Both Roland and Miranda quickly stood up when the doctor came over to them.
"How is she?" Roland asks as he wraps his arms around Miranda in hopes of comforting her.
Dr. Ashley quickly looks at her clipboard and said "Well she is fine physically, no clots, bleeds, or trauma to her head and her heart rhythm is normal, from what you told me about what happened it sounds like Sofia had a severe panic attack, causing her blood pressure to rise and drop suddenly which caused her to faint, but for the most part she appears stable just try to keep her calm for now."
"When can we take her home?" Miranda asked as they followed the doctor to where their daughter laid asleep.
Dr. Ashley sighs "If she doesn't have another fainting spell for the next 2 hours, you may take her home, but call me if anything changes or she faints again."
"Yes ma'am," Roland said as he sat down beside Sofia while Miranda took the other side.
It was about an hour later that Sofia finally came around.
When Sofia woke up the first thing she notices was that she was in an unfamiliar room and she could the faint beeping of machines beside her and the itchy feeling of a needle in her hand as she tried to force her eyes open, but only able to open them slightly, then when she tried to talk that when she let out a weak cough as her throat was dry, but thankfully she was given some water to sip by her Dad, then after she was done she asked. "What happened?"
Miranda comes to sit on the edge of Sofia's bed as she gently takes the hand that didn't have the IV in it.
"You had a severe Panic Attack, which caused you to faint, sweetheart, how are you feeling right now? Are you in any pain?" Miranda asked, concerned as she let Roland go get Dr. Ashley.
Sofia just looks at her mother through half-lidded eyes, saying "I feel like my head is stuffed with cotton and I am really tired, but no pain."
Before Miranda could say any more Dr. Ashley walks into the room with Roland not too far behind her.
"How are you, my dear?" She asks gently as she takes out a penlight and shines it into Sofia's eyes and then checks her heart, lungs, and pulse.
"I am just really tired and I want to go home," Sofia said as she patiently let the doctor do her exam.
"And home you shall go, my dear." Dr. Ashley states as she quickly talks with the parents and leaves to go get the discharge paper for the young princess.
Miranda gets up and says "I have to tell Baileywick to pick the others at the restaurant and then I will have to let my Uncle know so that he will let Baileywick straight in."
Roland nods as Miranda leaves the room, she quickly goes to the phone booth and dials the number of her home, she doesn't have to wait long as the phone was quickly answered by Baileywick.
"Hello, this is Enchancia Castle to whom may I ask if I am speaking too?" Baileywick said politely.
"Baileywick, it's Miranda." Miranda states.
"My Queen, are you alright?" Baileywick asked, his voice filled with concern.
"Yes I am fine, Sofia collapsed, she is fine now, listen I need you to go pick the children up at the restaurant, the Lily Anna de La Rosa my Uncle runs and owns the place, I will let him know of your arrival so that he can show you into the apartment," Miranda explained.
"As you wish my Queen, shall I cancel the session with Dr. Kevin?" He asked
"No, just tell him that we will be a bit late coming home," Miranda said.
"Very well, see you soon your majesty, goodbye."
"Goodbye," Miranda says as she quickly hangs up the phone and picks it up again to call her Uncle's number at the restaurant and after telling him of Baileywick's coming over to pick up the children, she says her goodbyes, hangs up, and quickly rejoins her Husband and youngest daughter.
Meanwhile back at Regulus's apartment, he hangs up the phone after his quick chat with Miranda, he turns back to the children who are busy playing a few board games.
"Kids, I just got off the phone with your Mama, she told me that your butler Baileywick is on his way to pick you up and bring you home, you can play these games anytime when you come over again."
They all nodded as they quickly put the games away and sat down on the couch to wait for Baileywick's arrival.
"Any news on Sofia?" James asked
Roderigo. shakes his head, "No, but I am sure that you'll no more when you get home."
James was a bit disappointed but he said "Okay."
Rodrigo nods as he goes to stand outside the entrance of his business to spot Baileywick.
Meanwhile back at the castle Baileywick quickly puts on a coat and his cap and gloves before grabbing the phone of the cradle and quickly speed dials, Dr. Kevin.
"This is Dr. Kevin of the Psychology Department of Enchancia Medical Center, how may I help you today?"
"Dr. Kevin, this Baileywick I was just calling to let you know that Queen Miranda informed me that the children will be a bit late in meeting with you."
"Yes, I just got off the phone with my colleague, Dr. Ashley. She told me what happened with Sofia and her condition, but I insist that we go through with the session, then she can rest afterward. I promise that I will try to keep her calm as possible."
Baileywick sighs but he understands as he replies, "The King and Queen trust your judgment, so I will as well, even if I don't always agree with it."
"That is all I ask for sir, I shall let you go, see you later, goodbye."
Baileywick puts the phone back on the cradle and quickly makes a beeline for his car, which he only used if he had to as he put the key in starting the engine and soon he was off down the road and into the Lily Anna de La Rosa's parking lot.
When he got out he was greeted by a man around his age with long straight black hair and striking blue eyes.
Rodrigo, I presume?" Baileywick asked as he reached his hand to shake.
The man nodded, giving a firm handshake "Baileywick right?"
"Yes," Baileywick said as he followed the man into the now empty restaurant.
"The kids are upstairs waiting for you, come on."
They go through a locked door that leads up to the apartment, when Rodrigo opens the door, Baileywick is soon surrounded by all 4 remaining Royal children.
"I want all of you to wait in the car, I want to chat with Mr. Rodrigo for a moment." Baileywick states and watches as the children walk out towards the car.
Baileywick turns towards Rodrigo and gives the man a gentle smile "Thank you for watching them. I hope that they weren't too much trouble."
Rodrigo shakes head smiling sadly, "No trouble at all, they were angels, I had to close a bit earlier than is usual but no harm done, I had a fun time with them and I got to see my niece again and meet my great niece for the first time, I just wish it was under better circumstances."
Baileywick nods and after they say goodbye Baileywick quickly heads out towards his car where he sees all the children sitting and chatting as he gets in and starts heading for home.
About an hour later they were home at the castle, where Emily was waiting to greet them.
"Hey Amber, James, Bros, Mom&Dad are back with Sofia, she is with Dr. Kevin right now," Emily said.
They all nod and go inside with Emily and Baileywick taking up the rear, Baileywick went off to go check on the staff and to check in with the King and Queen, while Emily goes with the rest of the siblings to where they had their session with Dr. Kevin.
They all sat around waiting for their turn, outside the door, about an hour later an exhausted Sofia came out of the room, with Dr. Kevin not too far behind her as he calls for the next sibling, but Emily saw how exhausted and worn Sofia looked she knew that she had to say something so before the Doctor could say anything, she said.
"Dr. Kevin, can I talk with you for a moment alone?" Emily asked.
Dr. Kevin was a bit surprised but he nodded "Come in, James, I will be a few minutes, do you mind?"
James shook his head from his place next to Amber.
Emily follows the doctor into the small room and takes a seat.
"What do you need, Emily, are you alright?" Dr. Kevin asked
"I am alright Doctor, but I am more concerned about..." She trails off unsure at first if she should do this.
"About what? Emily, is there something you need to tell me? If you know about something, you can always tell me, everything I say will never leave this room, the only time I need to break my oath is if I fear that a client is in danger."
Emily sighs and then she just decided to say it, "It's Sofia, she has been having these horrible night terrors every night since we have come home, she comes into my bed and when I ask her about it she just cries and clings to me tightly until she falls asleep again, I am worried that she isn't coping and I fear that this collapse is a sign of something much worse, please help her doctor, she is my baby sister."
The doctor looks at the distraught teen in front of him, a little stunned by what she told about the youngest princess.
"Thank you for informing me of this, I shall keep this in mind when I talk with Sofia and her parents." Dr. Kevin said.
"You can't tell her I told you, she will get angry if she finds out." Emily pleaded.
Dr. Kevin sighs, "I will not tell them about who told me, but if they guess correctly, I will be out of my hands."
Emily sighs in defeat as she nods in reluctant acceptance. "I understand, thank you for hearing me out."
"Anytime and if you need to talk with me about more personal issues or problems I am here." Dr. Kevin leads Emily out of the room and calls for James while Emily goes on her way down the hall and towards her room to hang out until dinner.
"Have a nice chat?" Emily was startled and swirls around to see that it was Sofia, her eyes full of anger and hurt.
"Sofia listens-" Emily tried to explain only to be cut off by Sofia screaming, "NO! YOU BETRAYED ME, I THOUGHT I COULD TRUST YOU, BUT CLEARLY, THAT'S NOT THE CASE!"
Emily wolf was furious and growled as Emily said calmly, "You were crawling into my bed every night in tears, unable to keep your eyes open most of the day, have you look in a mirror lately, your eyes are black with exhaustion and the only reason I know is I caught you putting on Amber's concealer, I didn't say anything, because I figured that you were curious or something, but boy was I wrong, you are trying to hide the fact that you are barely sleeping at all and after I heard about you fainting I knew that I had to say something, am I sorry that you are angry, yes, but I would rather you were angry at me, then died from exhaustion."
