Ceadeus :Legendary elder dragons known as both "shining giants of the depths" and "great sea dragons." Not confirmed to exist until recently. The Moga quakes were due to a Ceadeus butting its abnormally long horns into the earth.

Ceadeus. The first time i ever faced an elder dragon. The first time i faced a mountain class monster. I didn't slay this majestic sea creature that fateful day, i repelled it. Still no easy feet for a low rank hunter.

But.

I hunted Ceadeus illegally, i admit this, but had i not Moga Village would have been destroyed. And so we, the village, decided we would not abandon are home. i repelled the elder dragon despite the Guild's orders and was punished for my crime.

But nevertheless the Guild was impressed with the fact that i actually managed to do it, and with everything else i had done at that point, they gave ma a much lighter sentence then what they could have. And as of a month ago that sentence has been fully annulled.

this note has run long but there is one final thing I have to say.

Right as the Agrosy set sail with us aboard, literally as I am transcribing this entry, A Goldbeard Ceadeus with a broken set of horns surfaced along-side the ship.

It would seem my time in the new world ends with an eco of the beginning of my journey as a hunter.

wait till Cha-Cha hears this.

Ceanataur: An adolescent Carapaceon with an organic shell firmly placed on its back. Once grown, this shell will be replaced by a giant monster's skull. Mainly living in volcanic zones, it is very aggressive, and not to be underestimated.

I do miss Carapaceion steam pots. Right! Ceanataur. these guys are territorial little buggers, if you're mining in a volcanic region known to have them, watch out, they are burrowers that can pop up at any time. though there shell is tougher than a Hermitaur it's not that strong until they mature into a shogun, particularly at the joints.

Cephadrome:The alpha monster form of the Cephalos. Larger and armored with black scales, they fit the appearance of a leader perfectly. Their fins hold a paralyzing toxin.

not many hunters think about Cephalos or Cephadrome, but don't underestimate the sand swimming Piscine Wyvern, despite it's low threat level is can still pose a slight challenge if you underestimate it. ... if you remove the paralyzing spines it tastes pretty good to.

Cephalos: Wyverns found only in the Desert. They resemble a Plesioth, but live and "swim" in sand rather than water. They seldom appear above land, but when their hearing is disturbed...

they shoot out of the sands and flop around like they forgot they have legs. if you remove the paralyzing spines it also tastes pretty good.

Chameleos: Eyewitness sightings of this Elder Dragon are extremely rare due to its ability to literally vanish; however, details of this are unclear. It is thought that shocking it may make it reappear, but this is unproven.

despite it being one of the weaker elder dragons it is probably one of the funnest to face, as long as you bring lots of antidotes. but it can also be one of the most terrifying to face as well depending on if you can Bio-channel or not. I can and so I can keep track of it even when it's cloaked itself. but if you can't it is a much different fight.

Conga:Fanged, ape-like Primatius with pink fur. Prefers to live in small groups as opposed to large packs, and particularly enjoys mushroom snacks. If stumbled upon, it will be hostile, so beware of areas like the swamp or jungle.

they weaponize shit... yeah. If your just watching them then it's kinda funny, but its not. It's not.

Congalala: A large pelagus sporting pink fur often spotted in the jungle and swamp zones. Fond of mushrooms, its diet affects its breath, which may be poisonous or flaming. One can predict these traits via the food in its local habitat.

Even bigger shit monkey that can now paralyze you. The less said the better.

Copper Blangonga: As far as i can tell the Guild never issued a memo on this rare species, I don't know why.

While they are much like to a normal Blangonga in form, there fur and fangs are, as far as i can tell, infused with some form of copper alloy that makes it far far stronger. They live in dessert environments, but as a rare species you're not likely to ever face one.

Coral Pukei-Pukei:A bird wyvern that stockpiles water inside its body, fortified by the plant life it consumes. When threatened, it can expel a powerful stream from its mouth or tail.

Coral is probably one of the most interesting subspecies I've ever hunted. they are clever with the ability to split there water beams with their tongues to make it harder to avoid. That is of course if you can't doge up. but with an insect glave...

Cortos:A wingdrake from the Hinterlands. Usually not aggressive, but will attack hunters in a bind. Its breath lowers elemental resistance.

I don't really have to much to say here except for the time I overheard that pink haired hunter drunkenly singing "loooovvve yoou Cooortoooss" over and over in the Seliana gathering hub. It was pretty funny to watch though.

Crimson Qurupeco: A subspecies of Qurupeco with vivid crimson plumage and the same aptitude for mimicry and dance. Flints in their wings allow them to generate electricity, which can be discharged as either shocking jolts or intense flashes of light.

Although I've hunted Qurupeco many times, I've never hunted a Crimson Qurupeco. I've heard that they can call in a Deviljho.

Crystalbeard Uragaan: A living treasure trove of precious jewels, famous in the lore of miners and said to bring good fortune should you manage to even lay your eyes upon it. Some have tried to slay the "Crystalbeard" for its treasure, only to be crushed by its glittering fury. Requires special permission to hunt.

I know absolutely nothing about this Deviant., except for the Guild memo.

Side note time!

As i talked about in the first entry, I'm going back to the old world. Aiden wants me to meat his mentor and my exile form Moga village has been lifted!

today's side note isn't about that though. it's about blood.

Do you know why elder dragon blood is special? it is because all elder dragons have a special kind of blood plasma that conducts dragon element called Dracoplasma. This it why every elder dragon is as physically strong as it is. and why they are all weak to dragon element.

Dragon element is strange. in small amounts it is greatly beneficial but the moment it crosses a threshold it will ravage the body and mind while disrupting elemental energies.

Gahh. my hand spasmed just now. Ever since that dragon's fire burned the tattoo of that rune it's been acting up.
