Ava had changed out of her velour body suit and was just sitting in her living room on the couch watching Kenny, Elli, and Piper just having fun. The two boys loved the waterslide in the living room into the pool, and Ellie loved the diving board.
She told Ava that she was watching how some of the divers had some tricks and wanted to try some, and be like them. Jax was relaxed with Tara and Tara just made herself a vodka cranberry, and just sat down and chilled out. She was worried about the hostal work environment claim.
"Hey Tara can I tell you something on the down low?" Ava asked.
"Sure what's up?" said Tara.
"Okay this doesn't leave my house. I heard about Chibs so I used my knowlege to give him pointers about staying at Saint Thomas. You have nothing to do with it, and of course I work in a different department." said Ava.
"Shit you could lose your job over this if you ever get found out. I would never rat you out, but shit! Why?" Tara asked as Happy and Kozik set up a vollyball net in the pool, and Jax, Opie, and Kenny got competive with Kozik, Happy, and Ellie. Alex, Lyla, and Piper just watched from the sidelines.
"Hey Piper Tig get your asses in here." Jax called
"Okay I'm with Kenny." said Piper.
"Okay I'm with your sister than." said Tig taking his team.
Lyla joined Ava and Tara as they began playing volleyball. Ava smiled seeing how everyone was enjoying themselves. This was what she had in mind when she bought the cabin. Something for her mom's brother's kids to enjoy along with her nephew when he grew up a bit.
"Hey are you okay?" Lyla asked.
"Sorry I just have some shit on my mind. I got a text from my little brother's girlfriend Emily, and she wanted me to meet her in Stockton in a couple days. She as something to tell both my self and my little brother. I suspect I know what it is, but I have no idea how my little brother will react in his situation." said Ava.
"Hey I'm here for you girl. Shit I had no idea that you had so much going on still. I just thought that you got a job at Saint Thomas and then moved here to be close you your mom's brother, Piney, and to just get to know us all." said Donna. "Though I want to introduce you to my friend Ronnie who lives in Oakland." she said.
"Wait a minute are you saying that your mom is Piney' sister?" Tara asked.
"Yes my family is fucked. Piney is my mom's older brother, JT is my father, your boyfriend Jax is my older half brother. I have a younger half brother from my mom's husband who is in Stockton Prison for killing a cop, and my mom's first born from her husband is in the Mayans MC. I just want my family that I have left, and the job that I love. That's it." said Ava as she took a shot of Jack.
Ava couldn't believe she told all of that to Tara, who she hardly knew, and was the one in love with her brother Jax, Donna her cousin by marriage, and Lyla who was totally on the outside. Damn alcohol. Maybe it was because she was lonely and wanted friends.
She looked at the group in the pool. Mostly the kids. Piper was Lyla's son, and Kenny and Ellie were her cousin's kids, and they were just having fun, and that warmed her heart. Ava was broken out of her thoughts by a knock at the door..
"Hey let Jax, Opie, Kozik, or Happy get it." said Tara.
"No I got it." said Ava showing she was strapped just in case.
Opening the door she saw that it was her mom's brother so she let him in. "We didn't hear your bike so we had no idea what was going on." she said to the old man.
"Please let me in." Piney was in tears. He had been on the phone with his old friend Les Packer, and well Packer really fucked him over, and Piney was pissed off and sad about it.
Helping her uncle inside her home she wondering what was going on with him. "You okay Uncle Piney?" asked Ava.
"I just need to be around my family right now. My niece, son, daughter in law, and grandkids." said Piney. He was no rat. Long story short his former friend and President of the San Bernardino Chapter of the sons hired a hit because Packer's sister had an affair, and well she didn't like that the man was going to marry someone else even though she was already married.
Packer's sister sold some sob story to her brother and well because of that Piney's sister was killed. Some fucking jealous ex who had cartel connections. Though he was glad that he had his family. His son, daughter in law, grandkids, and niece. It still didn't take away the sting of betrayal.
So his sister thinks she could get way with anything because her husband was the top man of a cartel. Bullshit! Piney was broken out of his thoughts when his niece was talking to him.
"Sorry I was in my own head. What's up sweetheart?" he asked.
"I was asking if you wanted something to drink. Beer, shot, or something none alcoholic. I don't have Patron. I have Jack Daniels, Vodka, Coconut Rum, Jim Beam, and Bacardi 151 for the hard stuff. Beer I have Miller Light and Corona. Or I have bottled water, Coke, Sprite, Orange Pineapple and Cranberry juice, and Orange Juice for none alcoholic drinks." said Ava.
"I'll just have a beer. Could I stay on your couch tonight. I'm feeling down, and I don't want to stay at my cabin alone." said Piney.
"Of course. Hell take the guest room. You are the only family besides Jax that gives a damn, and I consider you a father instead of my mom's brother aka my uncle." said Ava.
"I love you." said Piney.
"I love you too." said Ava hugging her uncle.
"He is such a sweetheart." said Donna.
"He has the weight of the world on his shoulders. He loves you, and Opie and the kids. I'm more on the outside of the club, but I see how its bringing you all down." said Ava.
"Fucking Clay nearly killed Donna because of that ATF bitch Stahl setting my Son up to be a rat. She paid a shot load of his bills. I tried to tell Clay that the ATF bitch was setting him up, but Clay didn't fucking listen to nearly killed Donna because of it!" Piney let loose.
"Okay kids it's about to be adult time. Sorry out of the pool." said Ava giving a look to Lyla and Tara.
"Mom can I spend the night at Kenny's?" Piper asked.
"It's fine." said Donna.
"Sure have fun." said Lyla as Opie and Donna gathered the kids and left. Now all that was left was Lyla, Tig, Kozik, Happy, Jax, Tara, and Piney.
"Look man I am so sorry. I shouldn't have listened to Clay and whatever bullshit Stahl tried to put out there. I fucked up, and I regret it. I'm so fucking sorry." said Tig.
"Clay is a poison to this club." said Jax.
"Hold up you are talking about the president of the mother charter. Those are some hard charges." said Kozik.
"Are you even listening whats going on with your heroin filled brain?" Tig shot out. Okay he wanted to hurt Kozik's chances with Piney's niece so he threw that out there out of spite.
"Guys please. None of this shit in my house. Please. It's a funhouse." said Ava.
"Sorry sorry. Alex come on lets go home. Stop being such a dickhead." said Lyla trying to defuse everything.
"I'm just being honest. Ava Kozik was a junkie. Also I made mistakes myself listening to Clay, and I thankful Donna or Opie didn't get hurt." said Tig.
"Okay first of all I'm not looking for a relationship nor hookup at this time. Second of all it seems that you fly off the handle easily. That scares me. Listen when I was a senior in highschool my best friend Mandy was in a very bad relationship. It killed her. She was killed by her boyfriend in a fit on uncontrolled rage. Now everytime someone gets a bit of a temper I get spooked." said Ava.
"Ava none of these guys would ever hurt you. Yes they can be dickheads at times, but you can feel safe around them. I'm going to take your guest room. I love you Ava." said Piney kissing his sister's daughter's forehead before going upstairs to take the guest room. He was tired, and feeling drained after finding out the shit Packer pulled.
"Fucking idiot." said Kozik.
"Man fuck you." said Tig.
"Guys enough for fucks sake!" said Ava.
"They have a long history. Kozik made a mistake and accidentally let their dog Missy out, and Tig blames him for it. Kozik was drunk and high, and he let the dog out and she ran off and was hit by a car." said Jax.
"That could have happened when you were stone cold sober also. It was a tragic accident. Forgive him and let it go." said Ava.
"Yea Alexandra Trager how about you just back the fuck off me a bit. I've been dealing with some shit, and you just don't know when to let things the fuck go!" said Kozik. Ava had moved and put her legs into the water of the pool since she had changed into shorts when she left Gemma's and came home. Shorts and a tank top.
Kozik just swam over and hugged her, and laid his head on her lap with his arms around her waist. Ava just stroked the guy's hair. Shit was coming out tonight and well she was a total empath. Happy meanwhile just took advantage of the pool and just swam laps.
There was no threat around so he was just having fun, but he made sure that Kozik, Tig, Piney, Jax, Tara, and Ava were okay. Well Kozik too since he was his best friend.
"I want to rescue my fourteen year old daughter. Jenn's boyfriend fucking molests my fourteen year old daughter. Though all she thinks of me is a dopehead, but she was the one who turned me on to it." said Kozik.
"Bring her here. I have an extra room. Yes my mom's brother is using it tonight, but something had to happen were he needed to be around family. That shit just pisses me the fuck off, and at work those are my hardest cases." said Ava as Herman Kozik just held onto her.
Ava Teller was a virgin. She had never had sex with anyone in her entire life. She was all about her family, than she went off to nursing school and graduated, and came home to her small town, but then her mom was killed so she just moved to Charming and started at Saint Thomas.
Meanwhile Kozik was just crying in Ava's lap as he let out his confession. Ava just held him. "Come on lets get you upstairs. I have king sized bed, and I trust you to stay the night. You need rest. Listen I'll help you with Jenn and you daughter." said Ava.
"Could I be your Ol' Man?" Kozik asked.
"I'm not looking for anything right now, but i will be your friend." said Ava. She was worried about what happened in college, so she was skittish. "I'm going to bed so please keep my house clean. Help yourself to anything." said Ava as she went upstairs.
