Later that same day. Adelaide met up with Matt and Tyler at the grill. They were walking football, so Adelaide turned out, until she saw Tyler staring at something over her shoulder, she turned her head and saw Matt´s younger sister Vicki standing by the bar talking to Jeremy.
"Your sister need to find some better friend." Tyler told Matt.
"That´s my brother you´re talking about!" Adelaide said as she turned back to Tyler who just shook his shoulders at her."
"Are you hooking up with my sister?" Matt asked.
"No." Tyler said with a grin on his face.
"You´re liar." Adelaide hissed under her breath.
"You´re an asshole." Matt told him.
"Cheers to that." Adelaide said before taking a largs drink from her glass.
"You jealous?" Tyler asked with a raised eyebrow."
"No."
"You sure?"
"Tyler don´t start." Adelaide warned him.
"Have she said anything about me?" Matt said as he turned to Adelaide.
"What?" Adelaide asked as she turned her attention to Matt and out of the corner of her eyes she could feel Tyler´s eyes on her and she kicked him under the table.
"Ow. What was that for?" He asked as he rubbed his leg.
"You know what and I´am warning you." Adelaide said as she turned to Tyler." I will end you." She said before turning back to matt.
"Elena has she said anything about me?"
Adelaide shook her head." I´am not getting in the middle of this whole thing." She sighed as she looked into Matt´s sad eyes." I love you, but Elena is my sister. If you want to know, then you´re going to have to ask her yourself."
"I feel weird calling her." Matt said." She broke up with me."
"Give her sometime, Matt." Adelaide said as she squeezed his hand.
Matt noded his head before he noticed Tyler´s attention was at something behind." Will you stop looking at my..." But what he was going to say as he turned his head died on his lips as he saw Elena walking into the grill with the new guy.
"More time, huh?" He asked as he looked back at Adelaide.
"Matt."
"Ada don´t." Matt said before he stood up from the table and made his way towards the couple.
"Your sister is been a bitch." Tyler said as he stood up as well and followed after Matt.
"Great." Adelaide said as she saw Elena and the new guy making their way towards her." Show time." She said as they stopped in front of her.
"Adelaide i want you to met Stefan Salvatore.
"The battle of Willow Creek took place right at the end of the war in our very own town Mystic Falls." Mister Tanner stated as he looked around the class room. "How many casualtied in this battle? Miss Bennet?" He questioned.
Bonnie looked up from her notebook in surprise." Um...A lot?" She looked at Mister Tanner." I´am not sure. Like a lot?"
Mister Tanner stared hard at Bonnie as he spoke." Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Miss Bennet." He looked around the class room before stopping at Matt." Mister Donovan? Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your embedded jock stereotype?"
"It´s okay, Mister Tanner, I´am cool with it." Matt told Mister Tanner with a smile on his face.
"Hmm." Mister Tanner mumbled while the class laughed at the exhange. Mister Tanner looked around the class room before his eyes landed on his next victim." Elena? Surely you can enlighten us about on of the town´s most significantly historical event?"
Elena shook her head." I´am sorry. I...I don´t know."
"I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena. But that personal excuses ended with summer break." Mister Tanner said as he turned his back to the class.
Adelaide was about to push her chair away from her desk when she felt her chair being hold in place,. She turned in her chair and saw a foot on the back chair, she raised her eyebrow as she looked up at Matt who was shaking his head at her.
"Mister Donovan, Miss Gilbert do i need to separate the two of you again?" Mister Tanner asked.
"No, sir." Adelaide said as she turned back in her chair." But you don´t have to be a..." Before she could say another word, Stefan spoke up.
"There were 346 casualties." Stefan said." Unless you´re counting local civilans." He added.
Mister Tanner nodded his head."That´s correct." He said as he looked at the young man." Mister?" He said as he pointed his finger at Stefan.
"Salvatore?" Stefan said.
"Salvatore?" Mister Tanner said curiosly." Any relation to the original settlers here in Mystic Falls?"
Stefan paused before nodded his head. "Distant."
"Well, very good." Mister Tanner said as he turned towards his desk before adding." Except, of course, there were no civilian casualties in the battle."
"Actually, their were 27, sir." Stefan corrected Mister Tanner." Confederate soldiers, they fired on a church, they believing it to houseing weapons." Stefan explained." They were wrong, it was a night of great loss." He looked at Mister Tanner and as Tanner opened his mouth to say something. Stefan sopke again." The founder´s archives are uh, stored in Civil hall if you´d like to brush up on your facts, Mister Tanner."
Mister Tanner smiled in embarrassmeny before he mumbled under his breath and walked towards his desk. The whole class couldn´t help but laugh at Mister Tanner since no one beside Adelaide had proving him and it had coste her a week´s worth of detention last year.
The second the bell rang, everyone was out of their chairs and quickly exited the class room. Adelaide made her way through the crowded hallway as she looked for Stefan and a few second later she spotted him.
"Stefan!" Adelaide yelled out as she made her way towards him.
Stefan turned as he heard someone calling out his name and he turned around to see Adelaide Gilbert walking towards him. He smiled as he slowed down so she could catch up to him. Once Adelaide finally made her way to him, they walked slowly down the hallway together.
"I just wanted to say thank you for what you did back there."
Stefan nodded his head before he spoke." It was nothing."
Adelaide shook her head." No. it mean a lot to me and i know it meant something to Elena."
"Well, then i guess you´re welcome." Stefan told her.
Adelaide was about to say something when all of the sudden she felt a hand grab a hold of hers and she was being pulled donw the hallway. She turned her head over her shoulder and shouted." I hope to see you at the party to night."
"What the hell´re you doing?" She heard Tyler asking her.
"I was being nice, Ty... What´re you doing?" She asked with a confused look on her face as he pulled her into one of the class rooms and the second the door was closed he pushed her up against the door.
"What is it with you Gilbert sisters and new guys. Ha?" Tyler asked with anger.
"What the hell is your problem?" Adelaide asked as she pushed him away from her, but what happened next scared her. Tyler pushed her hard back against the door " You can´t tell me that what happend didn´t mean anything to you." Tyler asked her.
"Is that what this is about? and why do you care? Aren´t you hooking up with Vicki?"
"You didn´t answer my question Ada."
"Of course it ment something, but..." Before Adelaide could say anything else Tyler was kissing her.
"Don´t." Adelaide said as she tried to push Tyler off her. "Tyler stop!"
"Why don´t you want me!" Tyler yelled as he punched the wall beside her head and he regretted it the second he saw the sacred look on Adelaide´s face.
"Ada. I´am..."
"Don´t!" Adelaide said as she pushed him way from her." Stay away from me." She told him as she pointed a warning finger at him.
"Ada...Wait!" Tyler tried to grab her hand.
"I said don´t touch me!" Adelaide yelled as she pushed him away from her before she turned around and opened the door and walked down the hallway with her head down because she didn´t need anyone to see the tears that was forming in the corners of her eyes.
Once the sun had settle in the small town, all the teenagers was in the woods by the famous Falls, for the last party of the school year.
"I can´t belive you dragged me to this stupid party." Adelaide moaned as she stood with her sister and Bonnie watching the flames of the fire reach up into the sky.
Elena moved her arm around Adelaide´s and leaned her head on her arm." You should talk to him."
"He´s on my shit list right now." Adelaide said as she looked into the flames
"Who´s on your shit list?" Bonnie asked as she turned her head towards the Gilbert sisters.
"Tyler made her cry." Elena said.
"Why?" Bonnie asked.
"I don´t want to talk about Tyler Lockwood. Can´t we talking about something else?"
"Sure." Bonnie said as she turned to Elena." Just admit it, Elena."
Elena chuckled." Oh, okay. He´s a little pretty."
"Are we talking about Stefan?" Adelaide asked as she stared her sister down.
"Yeah. He has that romance novel stare. Stefan looked deep into her eyes, piercing her very soul."
Elena rolled her eyes at the two girls and pushed them playfully before she joined in with the laugher that fall over them.
Once Bonnie had stopped laughing along with the Gilbert sisters, she looked around the crowed." So where is he?"
"I don´t know. You tell me you´re the spychic one." Elena told her.
"Oh, nice one." Adelaide told her sister and turned to wait for Bonnie to response.
"Right i forgot." Bonnie said as she closed her eyes." Okay, so give me a second. Grams says i have to concentrate."
"Wait!" Adelaide yelled." You need a crystal ball." Adelaid moved her eyes around the dark woods before she stpotted an empty beer bottle laying around, she quickly picked the bottle up and made her way towards Bonnie as she held it out for her.
Bonnie took the beer bottle, but as she did her fingers touch Adelaide´s hand and she was pulled into a deep trance. Bonnie stared at Adelaide with wide eyes.
"Bonnie?" Elena called out in a worry as she watched Bonnie staring at Adelaide strangely.
Bonnie shook her head as she heard Elena calling out her name, which pulled her out of the trance she found herself in." That was werid. When i touch you i saw the face´s of two men dressed in very old cloths and you were there with them. And then it switch to an old village on fire and people was running through the streets screaming and...
"Oh, okay honey. You´re officially cut off." Adelaide cut in as she took the cup from Bonnie´s hand and emptied it.
"You´re right." Bonnie said with a nervous laugh." I´am drunk. It´s the drinking. There´s nothing psychic about it."
"Yeah." Adelaide said as she looked around the crowed and spotted Jeremy." Hey. I´am going to hang with jeremy a bit." She said as she walked away from the two girls.
Adelaide made her way towards Jeremy." Hey. walk with me." She said as she moved her arm around his and they walked through the path in the woods and it didn´t take them long to find Tyler and Vicki up against a tree.
"Hey! Lave her alone." Jeremy yelled as he noticed Vicki was trying to shove him off."
"You know, You´re starting to get on my nerves, Gilbert." Tyler said as he made his way towards them.
"Just go Tyler, get the hell away from me." Vicki snarled.
"Wow. Vicki Donovan says no. That´s a first." Tyler snarked before he started to walk away, but the words that came from Adelaide made him stop in his tracks.
"What the hell! You´re such an ass Tyler."
"And you´re a bitch." He said as he turned around to face her.
"What did you just say!" Jeremy asked as he started to made his way over to Tyler, but a hand on his arm made him stop and he turned to see it was Adelaide who had stopped him.
"He´s not worth it." Adelaide said as she kept her eyes on Tyler.
"He dosen´t get to talk to you like that!"
"Jeremy please." Adelaide begged him.
"Fine." Jeremy sighed as he turned back around to see Tyler was gone." What is going..." Whatever he was going to say died on his lips as he turned back to see Adelaide was gone as well.
Adelaide was about to leave the party when someone grabbed a hold of her arm and and she turned to see who it was and she groaned cause she would not deal with him again.
"Tyler i..."
"Can we please talk?" Tyler asked her with a sad look in his eyes.
"Tyler i don´t want to fight with you again. Okay." Adelaide told him as she turned to leave when suddenly she heard Elena yelling out for help." Elena!" Adelaide called out as she ran towards Elena´s voice, and as she got closer. She noticed a large crowed starting to form as she saw Jeremy carrying out a limp Vicki from the shadows that surrounded the woods.
"Vicki!" Matt whispered in shook." Vicki what the hell." Matt yelled out as he quickly made his way towards his sister.
"What happened to her?" Adelaide asked as she ran to up to Matt.
"Somebody, call an ambulance!" Matt yelled out as he kept his eyes on his baby sister.
"It´s her neck." Adelaide said as she looked down at Vicki." Someone bite her. She´s losing a lot of blood." Adelaide her scaf from around her neck and placed the scarf against the wound on Vicki´s neck.
"Vicki. Vicki come one." Matt pleaded desperately as he looked down at his baby sister." Open your eyes and look at me."
20 minuets later Adelaide stood next to Elena as they watched as Vicki being loade into the ambulance by the paramedics and Matt followed quickly behind them. Adelaide turned her head as she heard footsteps heading towards them.
"Hey." Bonnie called out." We´re gonna go to mainline coffee. Wait for news." She told the Gilbert sisters.
Adelaide nodded her head before she looked over at Elena." We´re going to take Jeremy home." She said as she looked back to Bonnie.
Bonnie nodded her head before she sighed. She looked between the Gilbert sisters." Bonnie what is it?" Elena asked as she saw the worried look on Bonnie´s face.
"There´s no way I´am a psychic. I know that." She shook her head." But whatever i saw, or think i saw, I have a feeling."
"What feeling?" Adelaide asked.
Once againt Bonnie looked between the Gilbert sisters."That it´s just the begining."
