Chapter 6: Agrabah
"Jasmine has soft black hair and beautiful eyes. I am crazy about her. But she is a princess," said a lad in the middle of a vast desert. He has short black hair and wears a purple vest and a fez. "She could never fall for something like me," adds the lad. "Aladdin, that's not true! Right, everyone," exclaims Kairi nervously.
Donald and Goofy quickly agree with Kairi's statement. "Stop that, you're embarrassing me," replies Aladdin before Donald and Kairi interrupts him. "Just help us already!" Out through their conversation, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy were slowly sinking into quicksand.
"Oops, I almost forgot. Hold on a second," said Aladdin as he starts to rub a lamp that he is holding. The lamp starts to smoke, and Aladdin raises it into the air as he said, "Come on out genie! For my first wish, save these three from the quicksand!"
A sinister-looking figure appears out of the smoke. "Hey, hey, hey. Genie is here to grant your wishes," said a huge blue man. He seems to be super silly. He did not have legs instead; he has a tail of wisp from the waist down. "Wish number one, coming right up," Genie said as he snaps his fingers.
Suddenly, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy levitate out of the quicksand. "Whoa! Thank you, Aladdin," said Kairi. "Caravans hardly ever pass through here. What are you guys doing here," asks Aladdin. "We jumped out of our Gummi ship and landed-," Goofy answers before Donald stops him. "What're you doing out here," Donald loudly asks.
"I was hunting for treasure. Just paid a visit to the Cave of Wonders. That is where I found this lamp," replies Aladdin as he shows the three the lamp that Genie came out of. "And I'm here to grant my master any three wishes! Please call me Genie," adds Genie.
"So, master? What will you have for wish number two," Genie asks Aladdin. Curious, Kairi asks Genie, "You can make any wish come true?" "Well, there are a few exceptions," replies Genie. "So, what'll it be," Genie asks Aladdin again.
After thinking a little bit, Aladdin asks, "How about making me a fabulously wealthy prince?" "Oooh! Money! Royalty! Fame! Why did not I think of that," exclaim Genie. Before Genie could grant the wish, Aladdin stops him. "I want to wait until I reach Agrabah before you grant that wish," Aladdin explains.
"No problem! That will give me more time to enjoy the fresh air," replies Genie. Upon hearing this, Kairi asks Genie, "Guess you don't get out much, huh?" "Comes with the job. Phenomenal cosmic powers! Itty-bitty living space. It is always three wishes, then back to my portable prison! I'm lucky to see the light of day every century or two," answers Genie.
Kairi feels pity for Genie and his lack of freedom. She could not stop thinking about how similar it is to being trapped on an island. Aladdin suddenly said, "What if I use my last wish to free you from the lamp?" Genie is shocked by Aladdin's question and replies, "You would do that? It's nice you say that even though you don't mean it."
After the pleasantries, the three decide to join Aladdin on his way to Agrabah. "Agrabah is a little far from here, but-," Aladdin said before Kairi hears a screeching sound. Before she could see it, something sending Kairi flying. After recovering, Kairi turns to see that she was hit by a frantic monkey on a carpet that seems to be alive.
"This is my partner, Abu. And that's Mr. Magic Carpet," Aladdin explains as Abu tries to get Aladdin's attention. While Donald and Goofy check out the Magic Carpet, Kairi wonders what Abu is upset about. Suddenly, Aladdin shouts, "What!?" "What's wrong," asks Kairi. "Abu said that Jasmine was kidnapped," Aladdin explains.
"Does Abu know where she is," asks Kairi. After asking Abu, Aladdin replies, "She's at the Cave of Wonders." "Then let's go," said. All of them gather on the magic carpet. The carpet slowly rises off the ground and then speeds off through the desert dunes.
After flying for a while, Kairi sees something coming up in the distance. It looks like a tiger head, but as they get near it slowly got bigger and bigger. "That's the Cave of Wonders," explains Aladdin. As they get closer to it, Kairi sees a big group of Heartless in front of the cave entrance.
In the very back of the group, Kairi sees a beautiful lady bound and gagged. She also sees a sinister-looking man standing by the lady. "That's Jasmine and the former royal adviser, Jafar," explains Aladdin. Filled with a desire to stop Jafar, Kairi jumps off the carpet and shouts, "Jafar! Your evildoing stops here!"
But before they start fighting, Jasmine manages to ungag herself and shouts, "Aladdin! Stay away! It's a trap!" Suddenly, a red parrot appears and drops a lamp into Jafar, the same lamp that Genie was in. Aladdin frantically searches for the lamp, but it is gone.
"All right, Heartless. Get rid of them," said Jafar. The Heartless surround Kairi, Donald, Goofy, and Aladdin. As the four of them fight off the hoard, Jafar places Jasmine into a jar that grows legs. Jafar leaves and enters the Cave of Wonders with the jar following him.
Kairi and her friends try to stop him, but the Heartless block their way. But by the time they manage to take care of the Heartless, Jafar and Jasmine are gone. As they enter the cave, Aladdin said, "We can't touch any treasure that we see here, or it would cause the cave to collapse."
As soon as Donald hears the word treasure, Donald's eyes lit up. Seeing this, Goofy said, "Don't forget that we need to save Jasmine and Genie from Jafar first, Donald." "But where do we go," asks Donald. "This way," replies Kairi as she steps away from the group. "It seems strange, but the Keyblade is telling me to go this way," explains Kairi.
Suddenly, the whole cave shook. With no better ideas, the group decides to follow Kairi as she navigates them through booby traps and treasure chambers. As they explore deeper into the cave, the group starts to hear faint voices up ahead. The group rushes towards the source of the voices. As they get near, they make out what one of the voices was saying.
"I'm taking the princess."
"Wait," Kairi shouts as the group enters a huge chamber. On the far side of the chamber, Kairi sees the keyhole embedded in the wall Standing in front of the keyhole was Jafar with a commanding-looking woman with black horns.
"Where's Jasmine, Jafar," Aladdin demands. "I'm afraid I can't tell you that," replies Jafar with a sly look on his face. Kairi is not paying attention to Jafar. Instead, she is focused on the person Jafar is with. Suddenly, Kairi remembers something. "Wait a second. Are you Maleficent," Kairi asks the lady with horns.
Instead of answering, the lady starts to fade away along with a spider-jar. Aladdin notices this and rushes over to save Jasmine. But the two completely vanish into thin air. Kairi, Donald, and Goofy are shocked by what just happened. "Where did you take her," Aladdin demands Jafar.
"Genie! Please save Jasmine," pleas Aladdin. But Genie did not respond to Aladdin. "Too bad. I'm Genie's master now," said Jafar with a smirk. Aladdin tries to steal the lamp back, but Jafar predicts this and dodges Aladdin. "Ooh, I just had the most entertaining idea," Jafar exclaimed.
"Genie, do me a favor and crush these sewer rats," Jafar tells Genie. The group is shocked by Jafar's wish. "You heard me. I command you to teach them what pain is," Jafar orders. "Genie, no," Aladdin pleads.
"Sorry, Al. The one with the lamp calls the shots," Genie replies right before he starts to shoot lightning all over the room. Kairi, Donald, Goofy, and Aladdin are barely able to dodge the lightning strikes. After a little while, Jafar becomes angry at Genie's lack of damage.
"You are barely doing anything! If you are not going to do it, I will show them what pain is. Genie! My final wish! I want you to make me an all-powerful Genie," Jafar exclaimed. Suddenly, the floor beneath the group's feet collapsed into a room filled with lava.
Luckily, some rubble gives the group some footing. The group suddenly hears diabolical laughter. A huge red genie appears in front of the group. "Yes, this is the power I was searching for! With these powers, I can rule the universe," shouts the red genie with a familiar voice.
But Kairi is not listening because she notices something. "And I'll begin by getting rid of this trash in front of me. Disappear, your worms," continues Jafar. "No, you're the one who's going to disappear, Jafar," exclaims Kairi as she lifts a black lamp in the air.
"The one with the lamp calls the shots and I command you to return to your lamp," exclaims Kairi. Jafar stares in disbelief as he starts to be pulled into the lamp. "Impossible! No, this can't be happening," Jafar screams as he is completely sucked into the black lamp.
A piece of paper filled with strange symbols lands on Kairi's head. Before she could examine it, Donald and Goofy leaps on her, and the three of them start celebrating their victory. Genie suddenly grabs Jafar's lamp and starts to swing his arm.
"What I'm going to do with this lamp is... bury it," said Genie as he pulls out a trowel and starts to dig a hole. A bright light catches Kairi's eye. Kairi turns to see that the keyhole is shining. She raises her Keyblade, and a beam of light shoots out. The keyhole vanishes as the light touches it.
The whole cave suddenly starts to shake. "Whoa, we'd better get out of here! Everyone jumps onto the carpet," shouts Kairi. Kairi, Donald, and Goofy immediately jump on the magic carpet, but Aladdin hesitates. "Aladdin, hurry," exclaim Kairi. "But Jasmine," replies Aladdin.
"Jasmine was taken away to a different world," exclaim Kairi as she pulls Aladdin on the carpet. The carpet speeds through rooms and corridors bursting with lava. While dodging a geyser of lava, Goofy slips off the magic carpet. "Goofy," screams Kairi and Donald.
"Genie! Please save him," Aladdin asks Genie. "That's your second wish," said Genie. "I know," replies Aladdin. With a flick of Genie's wrist, Goofy stops right before he falls into the lava and levitates back to the magic carpet. The group manages to leave the Cave of Wonders with their lives.
Afterward, magic carpet took the group to Aladdin's hideout, and they discuss what happened. "I'm sorry. It just slipped out of my mouth," Kairi apologizing to Donald who is mad. "Please! Take me with you to this different world," plea Aladdin.
"I'm sorry, but we can't. That is just the way it is. It would be meddling too much," replies Donald with a sad face. "Oh well, I guess you have your reasons," said Aladdin as he sits down. Kairi feels bad that Aladdin could not do anything to save Jasmine.
Suddenly, Genie appeared and said, "Don't be gloomy, master. You still have one wish left." Aladdin perks up when he hears. "Just said the words and I'll find Jasmine for you," said Genie with a big smile. Aladdin looks at Genie with an uncertain look in his eyes. "For my final wish, I wish for your freedom," said Aladdin.
Genie's gold bracelets start to glow and crack and then shatter. "Why, Al," Genie asks with a puzzled look. "A deal's a deal, Genie" Aladdin recipes. Overcome with joy, Genie hugs Aladdin. "Don't worry. We'll find Jasmine," said Kairi. "Here, take this," said Genie as he hands Kairi his lamp.
"I'm free from the lamp's spell, but you can still use it to call me anytime you need my help. I want to help you rescue my best friend's girlfriend," adds Genie. Kairi accepts the lamp. "Okay, thanks," replies Kairi. The three adventurers leave this world with a new goal in mind. To stop Maleficent's plans and rescue those she has captured.
