Kylee knew Nathan would be pissed if he saw her do it but she had to call her dad. They were stopped at a gas station outside of Wayne, New Jersey, Nathan had headed in to get some snacks. While he was doing this she had grabbed some coins from his dashboard, two of which had been weird gold coins, but nevertheless she had gotten the necessary amount to get a call on the nearby pay phone. She dialed her father's number wondering what she was going to say

She didn't think, Oh sorry I got kidnapped Dad, but saved by a monster hunter and now I'm going to a camp in New York because Mom was a god.

She didn't get much time to think about what to say because the phone picked up after only a couple rings

"Hello?" her father asked, clearly distraught.

"Dad," she asked hesitantly

"Kylee, oh my god, are you all right, where you, what happened,"

"I-I uh got kidnapped, but someone saved, the person who saved me they-they knew about Mom," she said cautiously about how much her father knew about the world Nathan had told her about.

"They did," he said with a glup, "So I guess your head to New York,"

"Y-you knew abo-,"

"About Mom, yeah,"

"W-Wait you-you knew about Mom,"

"I did,"

"W-why didn't you tell,"

"Kylee you're twelve what I suppose to tell you, I-I, damn it they told me this would happen,"

"Who told you this would happen," Kylee asked, still fully taking in what she had just heard.

"The people from the camp, they said you'll be in danger when you turned twelve, but I didn't know it would be so soon after, it's only been a few months, but never mind are you really ok not hurt,"

"I-I'm fine, I'm just an hour form the camp, I think,"

"Oh hades," Kylee heard as she turned to see Nathan next to a now dropped bag of chips.

"Um I have to go,"
