#55: A new friend/foe
A week later in the school cafeteria...
"Sorry for not being there for Starro girls, I was working on a download." I said, working on a tablet. I'm talking about a Techno-download, I said 'download' so anyone listening won't get suspicious. "What's that one do?" "I can't say. Let's just say it'll make the fight fair. More or less. *Puts tablet in his bag* Anyway, Babs said something a new friend coming to Metropolis?"
"Did someone say new friend?"
"Talk about timing." I said as a new girl walked in. Babs got on the table excitedly, knocking our lunch off, and hugged the girl. "Leenie-Weenie!" "Babsy-Dabsy!" I was still hungry so I reached into my bag and pulled out a gyro and took a bite. "So you just got here?" "I didn't wanna be incredibly late for my fist day." Babs said to us, "Guys, this is Harleen, my G.B.F.F." "Gotham Best Friend Forever?" "You catch on quick, Aaron."
Diana was the next to speak up. She held her hand out to Harleen, saying, "It's our pleasure to welcome you to-" She was cut off by Harleen joy buzzing her. I couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Nice one." "Haha, the hand that gives shock. Classic Harleen. Hasn't changed a bit." "That's not true. I have a new flower *splashes Jessica*, a new whoopie cushion *squeezes it and spooks Kara and Karen*, and I got that invisible ink! *pulls out and squeezes pen ink all over Zee* Oops, this is the one with the super-permanent industrial ink. Sorry!" Babs and I just laughed.
That's when Harleen noticed me, then gasped. "You're that guy from A's P.O.V.!" "No way, you watch my channel? There's no way you watch my channel." "Oh, I watch your channel." "*Turns head away*You don't watch my channel. *Turns head back and points at Harleen* Finish this line from one of my videos. 'You ever been to Quebec City. Nice place, bit confusing." Harleen continued, "French-speaking Canadians ruled by the Queen of England." We finished, "pick a freaking lane, Quebec!'" We both laughed and I said, "Harls, you and I are gonna be great friends." Babs showed up between us and but her arms around our necks. "I knew you guys would get along great!" Sure, maybe us. But for the others, I wouldn't say so.
"Just wait for the fun we'll have after school." The rest of the girls looked fearful. "After school?" Karen asked. "I thought we could give Harleen a tour of Metropolis! Doesn't that sound fun?" "Sorry Babs, I got the store today." I said. "Oh right. Oh well, girls? You up for a tour after school?" Before anyone could say no, Diana said, "It would be our honor." "Alright! See you guys later!" The Gotham girls left the cafeteria, which gave me the signal to leave before any conflict could start. I finished eating my gyro and skyhooked the wrapper in the trashcan.
Before Kara could plead me to take them with me, I put my bag on my back, got up, and left. Sorry, not sorry.
#56: Clowning around
Later in the very late evening at A's...
"Enjoy that phone." Aaron said, waving off another customer. Today's been good. Aaron had a few more customers than yesterday and he finished that new Techno-download. Stuff's getting better and better. Until-
"Just got got a tingle A.D., watch the store for me?" He gave him a thumbs up. And like that, Aaron went invisible and blast jumped in the air.
In the air, Aaron glitched visible into his Techno uniform and landed in a crouching position, then got up. He looked around, nothing yet. Keyword: 'yet'. You know what they say, 'If you wanna see the rainbow,'
*VRRRRRR*
'you gotta deal with the rain.'
Techno suddenly whipped around kicked an incoming car away. It tumbled down the street, then parallel parked between two others. "Catwoman, last time you did that, you got in jail. Don't make the same mistake twice." Out of the car came out six dizzy villains: Catwoman, then Livewire, then Star Sapphire, then Giganta [God knows how she fit in there in the first place], then Poison Ivy, then one Techno hasn't seen before, but thinks he's heard of.
"Who's the clown?" Tech asked. "Harley Quinn at your service!" She said, holding her hand out. Tech smirked and shook it, but instead of him getting shocked with Harley's joy buzzer, Harley got shocked with Techno's energy. "Wow, Livewire weren't kiddin' when she said you've got lightning powers too. No wonder she lost to ya every time." "Hey!" "You're funny, I like that." Tech said. For some reason, Ivy got envious and looked away and kicked the ground.
"Why can't you five be more like Quinn over here? I just met her and she's a lot more optimistic than you pushovers." "HEY!" They all said. "Excuse me, but am I wrong? Look, I'll prove it."
In a blur, Techno phased through Quinn, slugged Livewire in the face, gave Giganta a flashkick, blasted Sapphire in the back, and eye beamed Poison Ivy. He jumped and landed on a lamppost.
"Told ya so." Tech said, laying back, hands behind his head. "Hey! Those were my new friends!" "And these are my friends." Showing up was five out of the six Super Hero Girls. "Took you six long enou- Wait, where's Batgirl?" They all looked away with guilt. "*Sigh* I'll smack you all later. Right now-"
*BOOM*
A large explosion knocked the six heroes back. At the same time, the other five villainesses started to get back up.
"What I wanna know is, who keeps a bomb in their back pocket?" Tech said, helping his friends up, glaring at Quinn. "Uh me? I thought that was obvious." said the clown. "Hey Techno, can we use that download yet?" "Nope. You're gonna wait on Batgirl." Supergirl was about to say something, but Techno interrupted, "I'll get her, give me a exactly three minutes tops." She rolled her eyes as Techno turned into electrical signals and went to Sweet Justice to pick her up.
"Now the proclaimed Glitch King gone, no one can save you now." Livewire said, confidently. "Only for three minutes, we'll win anyway." "Yeah, that boy's full of surprises." Supergirl and Green Lantern said. "He's not the only one." Harley threw out yet another bomb, starting the brawl.
Exactly two and a half minutes later...
"You girls had one job." Tech said landing in front of them and helping them up at superspeed. "And look who a brought." "Batgirl!" They all said, happy to see her. "Really thought you'd take longer." "Well princess," he said turning around, "maybe you shouldn't underestimate me." "Don't call me princess!" "Too late. You girls finally ready?" "As we will ever be."
The villainesses attacked again.
#57: Reunited
"M.A.D.I.S.O.N., get ready to send us that new download!" "INITIATING TECHNO-SCAN."
I ducked under one of Livewire's blasts, blasted her back, sent one of Sapphire's hearts back at her, then weakened on of Ivy's wild vines. I ran behind the girls and raised my fist in the air. "M.A.D.I.S.O.N., download now!" My watched glowed as I said, "Download Formation of Fortitude!"
A picture of an amber saints symbol appeared on my watch, as all the green on my outfit was replaced with amber. Watch this. A shot a strong beam of amber energy out of my chest and it traveled to and through all my heroine friends one by one. Amber colored outlines appeared on their suits, surprising all of them. This tells me that it worked.
"Now any attack you use will be a lot stronger and powerful. Don't believe me, try it yourselves." They all grinned and went at it. I watched from the sidelines. If I did something, I'd take the fun out of everything. I might do a final move or something though.
It's all happening so quick, I'm only making out some of it!
Supergirl had Star Sapphire and they battled in the air. Zooming in with my Techno Vision, Supergirl threw punches, and Sapphire had to block each one with Lantern constructs. She got blasted far off with amber beams from Supergirl's eyes.
Lantern got Ivy and her plants got sliced and chopped by green and amber colored constructs, bless their souls. Ivy ended up knocked into a wall by a flyswatter construct.
Wonder Woman fought against Catwoman, sword glowing. The kitten tried to claw her, but Wonder Woman was three times faster thanks to the download. She ended hit back with a swift kick to the side.
Zatanna got Livewire and her magic overpowered her electricity. Power like this should be illegal. "Nekaen siht nialliv!" She said, making her magic take away all of Livewire's electricity. "What the-?!" In a split second she was sent flying into a pile of trashca- Hey! You gotta be kidding, I stacked those yesterday!
*Sigh* No matter, back to the fight. With Bumblebee and Giganta, things are going are actually going great. Shrunken down, Bumblebee whizzed around Giganta, shooting her with stingers. Despite her trying to swat her away while getting stung, Giganta had no luck, as if she would anyway. Bumbles flew straight up to her face and while growing to full size, gave her a strong punch making her fall back.
Now for the clown and the bat. I was distracted by the other fights, so I didn't see much. What I am seeing is Quinn with a cut on her wrist and Bats with a cut on her neck. I'd fix it, if I didn't wanna miss the rest of this fight. "Tech and Bat Bouncer!" She said turning to me. It's one of our power moves. She ran at me and I ran at her, then jumped on her shoulders. Still connected, I jumped upside-down on my hands, then blasted us in the air. We disconnected, and upon impact on Harley, Batgirl hit her and bounced off her head, heels first, then me. We landed on our flawlessly on our feet.
Quinn looked dazed. Makes sense, she just got hit on the head twice by two Techno-downloaded teenage heroes. Okay, that's a mouthful.
*WHOOWHUP*
Hey, the cops are here. "As if the night wasn't bad enough," Catwoman said, getting up holding her head, "The police! Let's go!" One by one the villains made themselves scarce. "You think you've seen the last of me Batgirl? Well you haven't seen anything yet. Not by a longshot!" Quinn said, before making a break for it, kinda. She still a little dazed.
Now that that's over- "Aaron, you don't have to." Bats said, stopping my arm. "Fine." I put my hand down making the other girls sigh in relief, "I'll let y'all talk." I blast jumped to a far building. I'm not sure what they're saying and I don't read lips, yet, but it looks like the girls said something, Batgirl interrupted them, said something, the girls smiled and they all hugged. I'd be a part of this, if it wasn't something I shouldn't meddle with.
