Three things.
One: I didn't exactly want Thanksgiving special, sorry for those looking forward to one. Maybe next year guys. I'll make a Christmas special though, so be mindful of that.
Two: JBlaser, your request should be ready in one or two more chapters. Thank you for being this patient.
Three: I got bored and I had this I idea so this was born.
You may proceed.
#58: You're involved with what?
On a walk down the street...
"The SCP Foundation." Aaron answered to the girls.
I'm sure at least a few of us are familiar with this foundation. If you aren't, an explanation'll come. And no, I'm not making this a crossover fanfic.
"What's that?" Babs asked.
"The SCP Foundation's an organization that deals with any abnormal objects or species found on the planet. From a machine that can somehow transform things into a better or worse state, to a statue that can murder you the second you don't pay attention to it."
I think that spooked them a bit.
"Our main objective is to secure, contain, and protect all these things." "Secure, Contain, Protect. Is that what the SCP stands for?" "That's right K. I'm got involved because of a crazy incident. I'll tell you about it sometime later."
"Woah!" Babs said looking at her phone, grabbing the girls attention, "He's not kidding! Check it out!"
On the phone it shows that Aaron was on the lists of scientist, and his hero self was on the guard list. So when you think about it, technically he's on there twice and gets two paychecks. All those scientists and researchers and they couldn't put two and two together.
"Yep, my job's to help out with whatever I can. We're not too secretive about the place 'cause it's not like anyone can break in anyway. If they could, they won't get out alive. That's all I'm gonna say. I've even made some videos about some of the things from the foundation. You girls wanna see eleven of them?" They all nodded.
#59: Why is this a good idea?
At Aaron's house...
"We are filming." Aarondroid said.
"Hey everyone! Welcome back to A's P.O.V.. Today, I'm with my friends." I pointed to them as we sat on the couch, "This video's about eleven SCP's I was given that you would kill to get your hands on. Before you get any ideas, I won't give you any of these things if we meet in real life even if you ask. You know why.
Anyway, on the table are eleven covers. We'll randomly pull a cover and underneath will be an object given from me from the SCP Foundation. Things that're too big, will be pictures of the things I'll bring out later. You girls ready?" They nodded.
"Me first!" Babs pulled a random cover and under it was a bronze key.
"That Babs is SCP-005. Which is also called the Skeleton Key. That one key can open any lock ever made, and I mean 'any lock'. The White House? No prob. The Pentagon? Easy Peasy. Buckingham Palace? Just walk right in. That one key can get you into anything that's locked up tight."
Her eyes sparkled at the possibilities.
"Who's next?"
Kara went ahead and underneath was a polaroid camera.
"That's SCP-978. AKA the Desire Camera. Take a picture with that camera and it'll show you what the person in the photo desires most."
Kara smirked and took a picture of Karen. After the flash, the picture slowly came out the camera. Karen quickly took it, hoping I wouldn't see, but I saw that it was me and her on park bench leaning on each other.
"Okay, Zee would you like to go?"
She pulled back a cover and it showed a silver hand bell, that's slightly rusted.
"I was hoping you get that one. That's SCP-662, the Butler's Hand Bell. Ring that bell and a butler, named Mr. Deeds, will appear from somewhere and do whatever you say. Try it out."
Zee rang the bell and a second later a butler came from upstairs to the living room, surprising the girls. "Go ahead. Ask him to do something." "*clears throat* Mr. Deeds? Could you please make me an iced tea?" "As you wish Ms. Zatara." When he left and went to the kitchen, Zee asked, "How did he-" "I don't know Zee. I stop questioning these things a while ago." I answered. In a second, Mr. Deeds came back with a glass of iced tea on a silver dish. "You're drink ma'am." She took it and took a sip. "This isn't as bad as I thought it'd be."
"Jess, K, Diana?"
Jess shrugged her shoulders and pulled one of the covers and it showed a picture of a coffee machine.
"Bring it in!" I said, making a mechanical arm bring in a big coffee machine into the room.
"That's SCP-294, the Coffee Machine. That thing doesn't just dispense coffee, just by giving it some change, and typing on it's keyboard, it'll dispense any liquid you can imagine. Even things that aren't liquids in liquid form. Go ahead and see."
Jess got up, put about fifty cents in the machine, and typed in 'kale juice' then the enter key. A pouring sound was heard and three seconds later, a plastic cup with kale juice dispensed from the machine. She took it and drank it happily.
"And then there were seven. Next?"
Diana pulled back a cover and it showed a C.D.
"That C.D.'s SCP-5094, also known as Ms. J's Whiz Kidz Schoolhouse. The name might be ridiculous, but the thing it can do is no joke. Put that C.D. into a computer and it'll show an online educational program that can help you learn anything in just a few days."
"Fascinating." She said looking at it in her hand.
"We're almost halfway done. Karen, you're up."
She pulled a cover and it showed a picture of a test-your-love machine.
"Bring it in!" I said making another arm bring in said machine.
"That's SCP-2203, Find the Right One for You. That machine's unlike the ones made decades ago. When you use it, instead of it giving you a rating, it gives a card with a name and address on who's your true love. It even shows how to approach and woo them. Just remember, when you do find your destined one, it's up to you to keep the relationship going."
I don't know why, but I should be hopeful.
Karen didn't get up however. She just looked at it. I really wish my Techno Vision could help me read minds. For the sake of this video, I continued.
"Okay, there's still four things left." I pulled one of the covers, and it showed a Little Caesar's pizza box.
"I really like this one. This is SCP-458, the Limitless Pizza Box. This pizza box will allow you to never pick up a phone and order a pizza ever again. If you couldn't tell from the name, this box can make any pizza you can think of just by thinking of it and opening the box."
I picked it up and put it in my lap.
"Wanna Chicago-style deep dish? *opens box and shows said pizza* You got it. *closes box* How 'bout a cheesy New York style with parmesan sprinkled on top? *opens box and shows said pizza* Order up. *Closes box* Or how about something traditional? Say, a pure Italian with no cheese and olives? *opens box and shows said pizza* Dude, this box gotcha covered. *closes box*"
Kara took the box and opened it and had a slice of a triple pepperoni pizza with cheese-stuffed crust. I bet you're hungry right now. Don't lie.
I pulled back another cover and it showed a teddy bear made from different fabrics and covered in stitches.
"Hey, dude! Guys, this SCP-2295, A.K.A. the Best Bear. Say hey to the viewers, man."
The bear waved to the camera.
"Say that you were in a disastrous situation. Like, you were in a hospital because of kidney failure or your heart was on its last leg. Well life saving bear can fix that. Within two meters of anyone with a failing organ, this bear will make an actual working replica of said organ from it's own fabric and stuffing and surgically remove the failing organ with the handcrafted one flawlessly. This bear saved more than twenty lives. And besides, even if you didn't have a failing organ," I picked the bear up and held it. "it's nice to have cute stuffed toy nearby to cuddle. Am I right?"
We all nodded. Sue us, but it's not wrong to have a stuffed toy at our age. Not that any of us have one.
I put 2295 down and he walked away while I pulled another cover to show an empty soup bowl.
"This is SCP-348, or as we at the foundation call it, a Gift from Dad. It's an almost-normal soup bowl that doesn't do much abnormal stuff. When it's empty the bowl will fill with any random warm soup. Like most meals, it'll give you a nice warm feeling when you eat it. When the bowl's empty, at the bottom it'll give a worded message. It'll make you feel as if your father gave you the meal, then told you some encouraging words. Sweet, huh?"
I think the girls showed happy tears, but I didn't see 'cause I pulled back the next cover which showed picture of a vending machine that didn't have a window.
"Bring it in!" The arm brought in the machine.
"This is SCP-261, the Inter-Dimensional Vending Machine." I got up and walked up to it. "This thing can randomly dispense exciting snacks and drinks from all across the multiverse. I tried this thing four times myself and I've gotten snacks like Fruits of the Loom, three pairs of edible underwear in bright colors, and Rat on a stick, which is exactly what it sounds like. Yet, it tasted a lot better than I thought."
The girls looked at me disgusted.
"Hey, if trying something from a different universe is a crime, then guilty as charged." I sat back down and pulled the last cover, which is a bottle of pills.
"This is SCP-500, the Panacera. The pills in this bottle can cure any disease known or unknown to the human race."
If these were a thing, we could cure COVID-19, am I right?
"From small things like the flu or common cold, to big things like cancer. These pills can cure anything, and nothing's better than the gift of life."
They nodded.
"And there you have it: eleven SCPs you would do almost anything to have. I bet you wish you were me right now, I would too if I were you. See you guys in the next video."
"We are no longer filming."
"Okay," I got up and off the couch. "It's getting late and since I don't care, you girls can choose one, two, or three things to bring with you. A.D., help them out if they need help."
I left the girls and Aarondroid while I went upstairs and got ready for bed.
#60: From normal to normal-ish
The girls and Aarondroid came out of Aaron's house with the items. Babs with 005, Kara with 458, 261, and 348, Zee with 662, Jessica with 500, 2295, and 294, Diana with 5094, and Karen with 978 and 2203. Luckily, Aaron had some dollies for the bigger items. Why'd he have them in the first place? Who knows, it's Aaron.
Babs had the Skeleton Key because of all the places he can get into without a problem or question.
Kara had the Limitless Pizza Box, the Inter-Dimensional Vending Machine, and a Gift from Dad because of free endless food, and some words of encouragement when/if she needs it. She did lose her birth parents on Krypton, remember?
Zee had the Butler's Hand Bell because she always wanted her own butler.
Jessica had the Panacera, the Best Bear, and the Coffee Machine, because those three things can help those who need it.
Diana had Ms. J's Whiz Kidz Schoolhouse because it could help her get used to our customs and better understand them.
Karen had the Desire Camera and Find the Right One for You. The machine, you know why. The camera's so that that she'll know what to do and what Aaron likes.
They went their separate ways for school tomorrow.
The next day in class...
The girls grouped together during a break in the hallway. "This key's the best!" Babs said holding 005 in her hand, "Today, I left my keys for my electric scooter and forgot my locker combination. Then I thought, 'Could this key really open any lock?' so I tried it and it fit in the scooter and when I held it while I was randomly guessing a locker combination, it opened first try!"
Kara couldn't speak because her face was stuffed with pizza.
Zee on the other hand. "Mr. Deeds is nice to have around. He even helps me out with my magic, he really lives up to his name."
"Hey, party people." Aaron said with something revolving around his head. "Aaron, what's that?" "Oh, this?" The something was a miniature moon with an antenna on it. "It's the new thing I'm selling at my store: the Head Moon." He swayed his head side to side a bit to show that the moon was still moving around it. "I thought it was a cool idea."
"So how was your day Aaron?" Karen asked. "Aside from everyone asking to come over to my house for the first time ever, pretty good."
And that's all I had in mind. But I couldn't end this without making a four-parter.
#61: An unwanted call
On a random day, in the hideout...
Me and the girls were watching a movie in the hideout. Suddenly, I got an unknown call. "New phone, who this?" I said into it. The girls rolled their eyes. "What the- Jane?"
Jane's one of Aaron's exes. Which one? The one that didn't respect me.
"Do you know what day it is? It's our anniversary." "(whispered tone)Why should I care?*Get's up and off the couch*" "I'll cut to the chase. I'm considering getting back together with you. My parents said they'll forgive you. So come by to apologize some time." "(normal tone)Something tells me that you got the wrong person." "You're Aaron right? You should be honest with yourself. You were waiting for me to call you, weren't you? We took the trouble to call a detective and find your number. I said we can get back together, so be thankful." "Is your head okay? You've got the wrong person. Go get checked or something. I'm not a doctor." "Don't be stubborn. It's been almost a year. I think you've reflected on your actions enough. Oh, it's time for lunch. Let me know when you're coming to apologize. Bye."
I put his phone in my pocket and went to my bag and pulled out a battery. I drained the energy from it and felt so much better. I through it away.
"Who was that?" Babs asked. "One of my exes: Jane." I started, "She hasn't called in forever, what does she want now? Even if she begs, I'm not getting back with her. I'm sick of her." "Why is that you dislike this girl?" Diana asked. "Why? She was spoiled and ungrateful. She always wanted others' things, she does things only when she wants to, so our life together was always her bragging about herself, never listening to me, and always taking my things. Her parents would always see how things would go, always preparing everything, and all three of them would always say that I'm useless and don't do anything!"
If you think that's bad,
"A month later, Jane snapped and said she wanted to break up. I forgot what I saw in her in the first place. I didn't see anything 'til we actually started dating. Now she want's to get back together? It makes no sense!"
I got so mad that I punched the wall leaving a sparking hole in it. Then leaned against it and slid down to the floor, holding my head. Karen got up and sat next to me. She put her hand on my shoulder then gave me a smile, reassuring that things will be okay. I looked at her and smiled. Funny, I had her back, now she has mine.
Four days later at A's, ten minutes to opening time...
"Karen, I appreciate the help, but you don't have to." "I know, but I want to." She said walking behind the countertop. "*laughs* Someone's been getting courageous." "I learned from the best."
*Bzzzt*
"Yello?" "Hey, what's up?! Why aren't you here?" "Jane, get the message. I don't want to get back together." "You're still being stubborn? *Sigh* You're hopeless. Just get here. I know you don't play laser tag today."
"Laser tag?" "(to Karen) Yeah, I played laser tag in my free time. (to Jane) Jane, if you didn't only care about yourself, you'd know that I'm not in MegaCity anymore." "Wait what? I thought you were at the mall yesterday?" "Not the MegaCity one. (to himself) Why is everything I post still go to everywhere? (to Jane) Why do you care about what I do anyway? I'm blocking your selfish tail after this." "What's wrong with girlfriend texting boyfriend?" "Ex-girlfriend." "That's rude of you to call me selfish by the way." "So what? We're complete strangers after we broke up. If you get it, don't call me anymore." "C'mon, don't be strong. You know you can't forget about me." "No I can't. Your selfishness and self-centeredness is something that I can't stand at all!"
I looked at Karen, then said,
"As a matter a fact, I have someone else in mind of dating."
Karen blushed. What? I needed an excuse.
"What?! I never heard that! You never told me!" "Why should I tell you?" "I'm your girlfriend!" "Ex-girlfriend!" "You better not do anything without my permission!" "Why do I need your permission? Strangers shouldn't interfere with other's lives." "Don't you like me?" "I detest you! You don't care about anyone else, the only people you do care about are your parents, you never help me out with anything, and you pushed me to the breaking point! If time reset to the moment we got together, I'd dump you in a heartbeat!" "I can't believe this, I waited ten months for you thinking you were gonna come cry and apologize!" "That's your imagination. If you think that way at all, you're sick. Before you make any new victims like me, Go. Get. Checked." "Give me back the time you made me wait! I'll sue you with fraud and libel!" "Go ahead and try. No one'll listen to you anyway. I'm the one that wants to sue you. By the way, all the hurtful things you said and did to me during our time together has all been recorded. There's no way you'll win."
There was silence for seventeen seconds. Then,
"Hey, please come back." "Why? I got no reason to." "You wanna get back with me right?" "Are you deaf or slow? I said 'no' more than once! Quit bothering me!" "Give me back the time! I didn't date anyone, and waited for you!" "Not that you didn't but you couldn't."
Karen snickered at that. Jane started crying on the other side.
"Mom and Dad care about you so much!" "Not me, just you right?" "I'll say it one more time. Come back..." "Heck no! Go clean up your attitude, and get checked at a hospital! While your at it, take your mom and dad with you!"
I hung up then blocked her. That better be the last time I hear from her.
"Karen, here's some advice: If you meet someone that doesn't respect you for you, then they don't deserve you." "I don't think that'll be a problem..." She whispered, looking away still blushing. "I just don't get why she called in the first place." The back door burst open by Babs and her laptop. "I can answer that!"
...
...
...
...
"How long were you back there?" "Not important! Check this out!" She placed her laptop on the countertop, which showed so much research.
Apparently, in MegaCity, Jane's granddad was loaded. It also turns out he had an illness. Jane's mom was the heiress to the fortune, that was until the guy found out how badly they treated me. When he found out, he was giving all the cash to charity and there was no way to convince him to give it to Jane's mom. Jane had the idea to get me back to show that he was wrong about them, then dump me right after they got the money.
Surprise, surprise.
One thing she didn't count on was me saying no. She was too self-centered to think about my feelings instead of her demands.
"So she didn't really care about me to begin with? Some people never change." I said. Karen reached into my bag and pulled out a car battery, then immediately knew what to do. She gave it to me, and I drained all the energy from it. "Okay, I feel so much better." She smiled at me.
Sorry if any of this feels off to you. I needed a fourth part and this was my first idea. Again, sorry!
