Woah I'm uploading a second chapter!? And not even a week has past since the first one. Weird.

Chapter 2: Space Man and a Annoying Weed

"Frisk huh?" Mars cupped his chin. "Odd name." Frisk frowned a bit by this. Megan saw this and scolded Mars for his comment.

+Don't be mean! Frisk dear...+ Frisk looked to Megan or the device on Mars' arm that was Megan. +Ignore him. He is just a big old jerk.+ Mars frowned and huffed. +I on the other hand think your name is amazing!+ Frisk gave Megan a small and warm smile. At least she is a lot friendly out of the two.

"Just cause I said it was odd doesn't mean it's bad. A lot of things are odd and crazy, but I don't mean it's bad. I'm grateful for a lot of the crazy crap and weird people I have in my life." Mars closed his eyes and crossed his arms. "Plus I'm a bit odd myself."

Mars opened his eyes again and looked down at Frisk. "Sorry if I hurt your feelings. I truly didn't mean to be negative about it. Your name is odd but in a good way." Mars gave Frisk a pat on the head. "And I will agree with Megan, that your name is pretty amazing." Mars smiled which Frisk returned.

"Thanks! And apology accepted." Frisk said then gave Mars a thumbs up. "I think your names are really amazing too!" Mars had his thumb up as well.

"Thanks kid." he then looked up at the large hole. "But enough of saying how cool are names are." Mars walked more towards the center of the cavern. "Let us see if we can get outta here." Mars then lifted up his bionic arm and began tapping the display screen, like he was searching for something. However Megan stopped his search when she spoke.

+Yeaaah, flying out of this hole isn't gonna be our exit sadly.+ Mars raised an eyebrow while Frisk walked to Mars' side also confused. Before Mars could ask her what she means, she answered. +I scanned the area and there is a magic barrier. Not just covering the hole but it's like a layer surrounding miles around this entire area.+

Mars looked up and scowled. Before he could speak again Megan continued. +The barrier is way to strong for any of your forms. Ghostfreak can't phase through it and Armadrillo can't dig us out. Not even any of your powerhouses can break it.+ Megan "sighed".

Mars did the same in frustration. "Fucking magic." he muttered.

Frisk however was thinking about what they were talking about. Flying? He can fly? Forms? Who or what is Ghostfreak and Armadrillo? Frisk scratch the back of his head and wondered who are these guys.

Mars was silent for a moment. "What about contacting the others?" He heard Megan sigh again which automatically was a bad sign.

+I've tried, but I'm not getting any response from anyone.+

"Is there barrier interfering with the signal?"

+No. The signal is still getting out there. Just it's not finding anyone. Even if nobody answers I still should reach a channel.+

That is weird. The signal is going out but no feedback of a channel existing. Mars felt something is definitely wrong. He thought for another moment then turned to Frisk. "Hey kid!"

Frisk jumped a little. "Y-Yeah?"

"What planet our we on?"

"Huh?" What planet our we on. Why would he ask such a thing? Should he know what this planet was if he lives on it….unless. "Um this is Earth."

'Earth...great.' A planet Mars is not a fan of. "Does the Forever Knights mean anything to you?"

"Forever Knights?" Frisk tilted there head confused. 'Who are they?' they thought.

"From your reaction you haven't heard of them. Right?" Frisk nodded. "Right." he muttered. 'You thinking what I'm thinking?' he spoke through thought to Megan.

+Yes.+ she paused. +We are very likely in another universe.+

"Agreed." Mars looked back up through the hole into the blue sky. "What a pain."

…

Frisk was beyond confused. All this talk of the planet, knights, magic barriers and changing forms. They just don't understand anything about this guy. Then it started to hit them.

'They said "intergalactic law-enforcement" so like space police. Does this mean they are from space?' Frisk nodded to themselves. 'Yeah, that's why he asked what planet this is. They are from space!' Frisk gasped in realization. This got Mars' attention.

"What's up? Forgot how to breathe or you realize something?" he walked over in front of Frisk then crossed his arms. Mars tilted his head when Frisk spoke up.

"Are you from space...uh, officer?" Frisk asked. He knew the answer already but want to confirm it with him. Mars tilted his head to the other side and raised an eyebrow.

"Yes." he answered. "I did say I'm apart of an intergalactic law-enforcement. Intergalactic as in space."

"So you are like an alien?"

Mars huffed. "I guess you can say that."

Frisk continued. "Have you meet other aliens?"

"Yes."

"Do they look human too?"

"No. And I'm still human though. Just not Earth-born."

"Earth-born."

Mars scratched the back of his head with a sigh. "Listen kid, we can play twenty questions or we can figure a way outta here. And I rather focus on the second option. That cool?"

Frisk nodded.

"Cool. I will answer any other questions later. Right lets find another way out." Mars looked around. 'If there is one.'

Frisk pointed behind Mars. "Huh?" he turned around to see what they were pointing at. "Oh."

On the far side of the cavern was a dark and wide tunnel. Large and tall enough to fit a semi-truck. Mars thought to himself. 'How'd we miss that till now?'

+I dunno, but… it doesn't look very welcoming.+

'Scared?'

+Not for me, for Frisk.+

Mars stared at the tunnel with narrowed eyes. 'I see what you mean. It looks pretty freaky and intimidating and-'

+Like the darkness is moving.+

Mars nodded. 'Something wicked is in there.' he closed his eyes and crossed his arms. 'Gonna be hard to get the kid to follow me. And I can't leave them behind.' he sighed.

"Alright Frisk, listen up. I know it looks pretty scary in there but I need ya to work with me alright?" he turned back towards where Frisk was and continue his pep talk. "And I need ya to trust me. I promise I won't let anything bad happen to you or hurt you." Mars uncrossed his arms and opened his eyes, ready to see a still scared little kid not wanting to face what might await them in that tunnel of darkness. "So just stick by my side and-Wait where did you go?"

Frisk just straight up vanished! Did he image the child? Maybe he did hit his head. However Megan spoke to confirmed that was not the case. +Behind you.+

Mars turned and truth be told there was Frisk. About half way from him to the tunnel waiting for Mars to follow. They motioned their hand to come. Mars paused.

'Kid ain't afraid.' he shrugged and began to make his way to Frisk. 'Makes things easier I guess.'

Side by side they both made their way to the tunnel and stopped right in front of the entrance. Mars decided to compliment his new companion on how brave they are for stepping up like this. He didn't really want to drag a cry baby around with him.

"Gotta say you surprised me actually." Mars said with a smile. Frisk turned and gave him a confused look. He continued. "Just that a didn't expect you to be ready to face fear like this." He ruffled their hair. Frisk let out a giggle. "You are one brave little boy..." He paused. "...Uh, girl?" he paused again and looked a bit embarrassed. "Um..."

Frisk giggled again. "I'm a boy. You were right the first time." he smiled.

Mars rubbed his arm ad looked away. "Right. Sorry, it's just that. It's kinda hard to tell." he said truthfully.

"It's okay. I get that a lot." Frisk said not bothered by that the fact that people can't tell if he is a boy or a girl.

'That doesn't make me feel any better.' Mars thought with a red face.

+Nice going.+ Megan spoke through thought sarcastically.

He scowled. 'Shut it. You didn't know either.'

+I knew.+

'And didn't say anything, because…?'

+Wanted to see if you would mess it up and you did.+ he could tell she was saying that with a smug smile. She would if she could anyway.

Mars huffed. 'Fuck off.' Megan just giggled. Seeing her partner flustered like this was and still is entertaining.

Frisk was just standing there watching. Mars looked to him and put this embarrassing moment behind him. "Anyway, ready to head in?"

Frisk nodded and reach his hand up to Mars. The spaceman took the hand curiously but without complaint. They both looked into the darkness. One foot in front other the other the both went in. Disappearing in the tunnel.

…

"Well that was anticlimactic." Mars said with a huff. Frisk nodded in agreement. The tunnel was just a short dark turn into another somewhat lit but a lot smaller cavern. A smaller hole was where the light was coming from. It was shining directly on a small patch of dirt. Right in the middle of the area.

'Why do I have a bad feeling from a patch of dirt?' Mars thought to himself believing he has seen this somewhere before. Mars was correct because right after thinking that something literally popped its head from the ground. He narrowed his eyes and tried to get a grasped at what he was looking at with Frisk doing the same.

'What. The. Fuck.' it was a flower with a face. A cartoon-ish face on a white androecium, six yellow petals around and a light green stem. The smile it was giving was...unnerving to the two humans.

"Howdy!" it spoke. The damn thing spoke. "I'm Flowey. Flowey the flower!"

Mars deadpanned. 'Wow. How creative….'

"Hmmm… You two are new to the UNDERGROUND, aren'tcha?"

"Perhaps." Mars replied.

"Well golly, you both must be so confused!"

'Who the hell says golly?'

"But don't worry friends, I'll teach ya how things work around here!"

"Okaaay." Mars gave a concerned look. 'This flower is a damn weed. I can tell already.'

"Ready?"

'Here we go/Here we go!"

Suddenly things went dark. Everyone was still able to see each other but around them was nothing. Then out of no where an orange heart appears in front of Mars' chest. Frisk had a red one in front of his. Both looked at the hearts that appeared before them in slight shock and awe.

"Woah." was all Mars could say.

Flowey got the two humans attention. "See that heart? That's your SOUL, The very culmination of your being!"

Mars didn't like hearing this. "Yeah could you asked first before taking out someones soul? I kinda like didn't want to." he gave Flowey a glare that actually made the flower shrink back a bit.

"Eheheh" Flowey gave a nervous laugh before trying to reassure the man before them. "There's no need to w-worry." The flower went back to its cheery self but Mars could see pass that it was still nervous. "I'm just trying to fill you in a how things go down here! So uh..." it cleared its throat before putting back on its "friendly" face and act.

"Your SOUL starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV!"

Mars raised an eyebrow. "LV?"

"Yeah! LV means LOVE of course!"

"Uh huh..."

"You two want some LOVE, don'tcha? No need to worry, I will share some with ya!"

Mars winced 'Now I'm uncomfortable.'

"Down here, LOVE is shared through...Little white…friendliness pellets!"

Half of a dozen "friendliness pellets" appeared around the flower hovering in the air. Mars narrowed his eyes and moved more in front of Frisk, protecting him from what might happen next. He had a feeling he knew but still wanted to see how this plays out.

"You wanna go first? Okay! Are you ready?"

'Let's see what you got, you damn weed.'

The pellets began to move towards Mars. "Move around! Get as many as you can!" Mars prepared himself for the hit. Like he thought, as soon as one of those pellets hit Mars he felt some pain. Not enough to actually hurt him, but enough to make him annoyed. Very annoyed.

Floweys' face morphed to that of a demon. "You idiot!" Floweys' voice changed as well. Went from "friendly" to demonic in a second. "In this world, it's KILL or BE KILL-uh..." Flowey began to internally panic. He should have looked at the older human's stats before trying to kill him.

Mars

ATK: 172

DEF: 250

Mars was now in front of the damn weed. Looking down at him with a menacing glare. He then smiled but not a friendly smile. No, an "I'm gonna enjoy hurting you" smile.

Frisk stood back a bit more. He had an idea of what's about to happen.

"Your LV is lookin a little weak there too friend..." He raised his bionic arm and turned on the screen. An image of some sort of humanoid figure that looked like his head was on fire was displayed. "Let me help ya out, with a nice warm hug."

Flowey gulped. It had cold sweats running down its face.

Mars clenched his bionic hand into a fist and the next thing was a bright orange light.

Flowey made a big oof. And now he will regret it. This was a long one chapter but I just actually enjoyed making it. From a short one to an actually long one. I hope that's okay, but anyway things are gonna get HEATED up in the next chapter and I'm kinda pumped to write it. And yes Frisk is a boy in this fanfic. I know Frisk is Frisk but we can make them what ever gender we want them to be. Frisk is a boy, Chara will be a girl and Kris isn't in this story. Don't like it? Then don't read it.

That's it. No long ass author's notes this time. I mostly likely will be hopping back here editing mistakes or changes I want. I have nobody to beta-read this so... Just want to get this up, so I dont procrastinate and it will be just on my pc collecting dust.

EDIT: Fixed Mars stats to match LV. Defense stays because power armor.
